Sophie, do we ever find out who any of the sources are or are you like journalists and can't reveal them? I would love to know at some point. Maybe if they are show sources they can't be revealed because they wouldn't give info. out for future shows.

Never, it would be a huge breach of trust. I believe it is the same for LM and San!

I love this discussion and the different points of view.

My question is who or what determined what Des needs?  Even in post filming interviews, when asked what she was looking for in a husband, her answers have not changed since pre-filming.

Most of the "hesitation" issue is based on a PI where he states he is pensive on the date, trying to figure out if she is as in to him as he is to her.  Their discussion at dinner where she says she is starting to run and he would say jogging.  He was very pleased to hear her answer and his whole demeanor changed at that point. And, some previews that make it look like he leaves for some reason or is let go.

On the HTD preview where she shows him the list, he is very pleased with the list and adds something to it.....carrying the bride over the threshold.  Doesn't sound like someone that isn't thinking marriage with her to me.  He told her he would take her meeting the family over all of their adventures together.  And we know that he loved being in the clouds with Des.  He was in total awe of that experience.

He and Des both say they just click.....they just get each other.  Sean said that a lot about Catherine.  They finish each others sentences....JP and Ash did the same thing.   He is just trying to work it all out in his head in this very unusual circumstance.  He is having to determine his feelings based on two dates that were as far apart as two dates can get on this show.  A lot went on in between those dates with other guys.  That is not lost on him.  

The spoilers say that it was very apparent who she fell for early on.  Des is an easy read so I think they just decided to go with it and throw in a lot of distractions, drama and doubt along the way.

Someone mentioned the possibility that was Nate at the door.  Nate apparently loves playing the role of the bad guy and seems to really get into his 15 minutes.  Possibly he went to tell Brooks that after thinking it over there was no way he could give his approval for a proposal.  Possibly Brooks goes to tell Des that he can't propose with this hanging over their heads.  I know it doesn't explain Drew on LCD or Chris in limo.  Somehow I don't think it will be based on hesitation or questioning of his feelings.

I just had a weird thought about the Brooks meltdown in Antigua... haven't thought through it, probably wrong, just wanted to write it down...

So Des and Brooks go on their FD meeting up at the Verandah and he tells her he loves her, and she tells him same... but then she says she wants to keep going with the other 2 to make sure as she is falling for them.
He gets p***ed off, he cries, she cries, he is brought back to his hotel in limo (might have been planned for their date?) Threatens to leave, then knock on the door is Des or CH coming to make sure he doesnt...

Meanwhile she goes on her date with Drew and Chris. Brooks doesnt show up at RC, still upset, she keeps Drew and Chris.

Goes on LCD with Chris, then Brooks comes back and apologizes. She takes him back, goes on FD with Drew, let's him go.

FRC, Both propose, she picks Brooks.

     

I do question the bolded as we do have sc's that show there was more to Drew and Des's dates than just a FD. We have a night time portion that has been id'd as the Verandah where the FRC takes place. We have different clothing, earrings, hairstyles that show there was more than one date. So how does that all get melded into a FD? That is what is giving me pause right now. Again, just going by the sc's and the edit, I think that there is more to this and do think that Drew and Des have complete FD and LCD.

 Judiful, I like your scenario too and I don't think Brooks leaves the island either. TPTB just want us to think that he leaves...they want us to believe lots of things that I don't think will happen. It certainly is going to be a few weeks of lots of emotion and tears. Fasten your seat belts....

If Brooks gets upset or mad, it might be a first. His SIL said she's never seen him mad. Might be a video capture moment. But you also have to remember her saying I don't want to love someone who doesn't feel the same . I think their misunderstanding is along those lines. Feelings not in comgruence or perceived that way.

Me to. Actually no doubts. Reminds me of defending Jem on another board. All the evidence was thrown at me and the demand, HOW DO YOU KNOW! HOW DO YOU KNOW! I knew after finding this board and seeing it with my own eyes no matter how far Arie stuck his tongue down Em's throat and Em loving it. It's really no different then than it is now. We just need time to see it proved true. No matter the lacking SC's or edit.  I won't waver because it will happen. Not a pipe dream not being unrealistic. Because when the Finale arrives all will be settled. A little shout out to Nannymargie. right!

Yep you right! We are finally seeing a love story with a lot of crap thrown in to throw us off. There is no denying the way they look in each others eyes. They way Brooks is always watching everything she does when in a group, or the way they gravitate to each other in a group. Their love is undeniable and they will be together in the end. No doubt in my mind.

If you had to pick one today....who would you say is final 1?

I THINK even if I wasn't spoiled I'd say Brooks. She says she is in love with him. She is falling for Chris and Drew is a great kisser, great body, BUT she doesn't say she is falling (I could have missed it) She's not that into Zak. (Although for me, he has been surprisingly decent guy.) Brooks has her heart. BUT TPTB DO NOT let us have things wrapped into a bow. Something happens. Does he leave, does Drew leave? I really don't know. They want us to think that. My guess is that the MTP does not go well for Brooks. Her brother is a problem, her parents don't like Mormans, his parents don't like non-Mormans. Who knows.
But if she doesn't end up with Brooks she will be very, very unhappy.
My number 2 pick is Chris. (But we have a screencap that seems to show him crying and video that could be the FRC where he is drawing back in surprise.)

Here's a thought. Both Brooks and Des says things are easy with each other until their turmoil. With the other two, they've been easy. Expressed love quickly. Des is not there with them yet. Will it be easy for her ? Or chose the more challenging course of working out a problem with someone whom things have come easy with.

Drew sticking around after the FDs seems to be seen as a pesky situation that fans of the other 2 guys want to try to ignore or explain away. It may end up that he is the delayed f3 person or not. For all we know Drew was going to be in the f2 in any case. I don't see Des keeping 3 guys for the LCD/MTP on purpose. Who could possibly be that wishy washy to inflict that on the extra guy or her family?

I could be wrong (it's happened many times  ) but I can only make sense of things if Brooks leaves. I'm assuming he returns at some point and feel at least a couple of things point to that including moving the MTA up a week and letting Des say she's in love with him. My guess is that he comes back the day before the FRC and possible does meet Des' family. I don't feel he'll get a full LCD & MTP if he chooses to leave & come back. I know that's what fans want but they don't usually reward the returnees. In any case I don't see a clean F3 F2 & F1 without at least some trouble on the horizon. If the spoilers are right it all ends well for Brooks but right now it's a little hard to see how it's going to happen.

    This really makes a lot of sense. I just don't see Des as being a wishy washy personality to with hold the other two to more stress, but if Brooks leaves, I really don't see a spot for him to return. His return is really hard to see considering the edit, the screencaps and the feel of the season so far. To me, the edit is setting it up for a Brooks and Des fall and for one of the other two guys to pull ahead in her heart and make her realize that that guy is the one that she needs.

Hi guys...i have been reading your posts after lurking around for a few weeks.  I haven't watched B'ette since Trista's wedding. It took way too much time & swore I'd stop.   I accidentally saw Desiree's ep 3 when fast forwarding to something on my DVR, and got hooked! youtubed all the prev episodes. Found this site. I'm very impressed with all your sleuthing and thoughtful scenarios. High level thinking: like playing Chess!
  
oKay my theory:  so my son and his wife watch together, and he tells me about some guy on web who used to work for the Ticket radio station here in Dallas, and who now "spoiled" the Bachelor endings correctly: RS.  I got Reality Steve's link, and after reading RS "F1" as y'all call it, got to thinking......

RS got sued from MF. Was there a settlement? what if MF had a legal settlement with RS, with the "if you cant beat 'em, join 'em" strategy.  If RS wants to avoid a huge legal $$ settlement, RS goes along with incorrect "F1" intentionally, just this once, to get off some financial hook.   Viewership and advertising revenues go up.   Could this be possible?  Could the other sources here on this board also be in on an incorrect spoiler.?  IDK.
 
Oh, one last thought.  Could it be Drew at Brooks' door?  I mean if Drew talks to Des and understands how much she loves Brooks, and if Drew senses Brooks jealousy and knows he (Drew) is leaving anyway, could Drew be the best ever gentleman by bowing out, but first letting Brooks know how much Des love Brooks?
