DWTS - Season 33 - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Dwight and Daniella are next with the rhuma dedicated to his 5 kids. It was ok. Not much movement. Lacking enough hip action. 7,8,7,7 IMO he is starting to check out a bit.

Phedra and Val dedicating her dance to her mom. They are doing the rhumba. She is still stiff at times and can't let go. I think he was supposed to spin her on the floor, but she didn't let go. The judges are gushing about the dance, but again I wasn't crazy about it. A couple of times she had a serious face and then all of a sudden the creepy smile would come out. 8,8,8,8 I would not have given her that. I also didn't appreciate the b*tching about how she didn't deserve the 5 last week. Yes, she did.

Derek telling the story about what happened to his wife Hailey. OMG. He's crying. I'm crying. Amazing. If you don't watch anything else from this episode...watch this. Plus the dance was beautiful. This is the emotion you want in the contemporary. So lovely. More tears from everyone.
Incredible that she has recovered from that. Still crying. Wow.

Brooks and Gleb. She is dedicating her dance to her 3 sisters. They become part of the dance. And yet more hinting at a relationship with Gleb. So tiring. They are doing the salsa. Her best dance. 8,8,8,8

Joey and Jenna are doing the waltz. He is dedicating the dance to Kelsey. Another great performance. This dance had the most content tonight. Excellent. He is the best Bachelor ever on this show, plus he is rocking that velvet purple suit! He really could win this thing. 9, 9, 9, 9

Ilona and Alan are doing the rhumba dedicated to her rugby team. Poor girl was so upset about messing up last week. He tells her to not put so much pressure on herself. He is crying for her. They are such a sweet team. They did really well. 8,8,8,8

Jenn and Sacha are doing the foxtrot. She messed up a bit in one spot, but other than that is was a beautiful dance. 8,8,8,8

Let's see who is eliminated tonight...Dwight, Chandler and Brooks are in the bottom three. Bye bye Brooks. I called it. Not sorry to see her go.

IA @Sprite that the right couple got eliminated. Brooks has been annoying me since the beginning of the season. This week Joey & Ilona we’re my favourites. Joey was technically on point & glided around the dance floor. Ilona was so smooth & soft, which didn’t previously seem to come easy for her. She’s really improved IMO.

I had to watch the 1st hour today because the debate in Texas pre-empted it. Best of the night was Derek and Hayley talking about her frightening condition and then the beautiful dance together.

Joey was amazing and it feels like he could go all the way! Jenn is also doing well but isn't quite there. I really like Ilona! She's worked so hard and doing so much better! I wasn't shocked with Brooks leaving even though she didn't have the lowest scores. It doesn't appear that people online like her much which can't help with the votes.

It's Disney week and we start off with the genie from Aladdin. It looks like it will be lively.

Two rounds of dancing and then there are dance offs.

Stephen and Rylee are doing the Charleston as Hercules. It was off at the start. Not his best effort. His feet are not sharp and he was off. 8, 8, 8. Sweet as he is, I thought that was too high.

Jenn and Sasha doing the rhumba as the Little Mermaid. She looks great. That seemed like a very short dance. It was nice, but seem really short. 8, 8, 8.

Joey is being Tarzan...shirtless and with long hair. He and Jenna are doing the samba. That was SUPER!!! He is such a good performer and really the only star here who truly seems to be enjoying himself. 8, 8, 9

Chandler and Brandon doing the Paso Doble. She is once again complaining about the criticism she received last week. It annoys me. It was something minor and she harps on it. Meanwhile, Joey accepts it and just goes with it. That was a really good dance. I have a feeling she is not getting the votes they thought she would and Joey is doing better than anticipated. 9, 9, 9.

Phedra and Val doing Jazz. She is Cruella. Val did a good job hiding the fact that she barely moved. He whipped her around and made it seem as if she did more than she actually did. I think she is losing interest. 8, 8, 8. This is ticking me off. Joey got 1 more point than her and she barely moved.

Danny and Whitney are doing Jazz from Deadpool. It was good, but still there was something was off. It's like he is waiting for her and mostly it was a lot of lifts and faux fighting. Not as smooth as it should be and yet, he gets 9, 9, 9. Over scored. I bet he isn't getting the votes they thought he would be.

Dwight and Daniella doing the tango. That was awkward. The height difference was really obvious and his facial expression was OTT. 8, 8, 8. I am getting more and more ticked off with this scoring. Again...over scored. Poor Joey. I feel bad for him to be 1 point better than this. Ridiculous!!!

Ilona and Allan are doing Jazz. I am not loving this choreography. Not her best dance. Poor Allan had to dance with a donkey mask on his head the whole time. I think it was more lifting...by Ilona...than actually dancing. 9, 8, 8. Horrible scoring. I don't care if it is Disney.

Teams are Dwight with Danny, Stephen and Phedra. Ilona with Joey, Chandler and Jenn. I think Dwight messed up in his picks. Let's see how this works.

Lion King with Dwight's tear...Roar. It was not the best team dance I have ever seen. Phedra could barely move her legs. Does she have an injury? It was fun, but not in sync. 8, 8, 8. I can agree to that score. Finally.

Team Goofs...based on the Goofy movie. This is hilarious Jenn and Joey dancing together since she was on his season. This dance was a lot better and had way more energy. Joey looks like one of the guy pros and having a great time. 9, 9, 9.

Bottom three Phedra, Dwight and Stephen. I agree. I am hoping for Dwight to go just because it is the hardest for him simply based on his height. Although I think Phedra wants to go and I would be fine with that.

Safe...Chandler, Ilona, Danny, Joey, Dwight, Stephen, Jenn. Phedra is going. I am not unhappy!

Next week Halloween week and all or nothing dance off.

I couldn't believe the scores tonight. I thoght Chandler's was right but thought Danny was over scored. He didn't do much but lift. I thought Joey was scored lower than he should by CA and Derek. Stephen isn't as good as I thought he'd be by this point. Phaedra has been over scored all season. Dwight seemed to get undeserved higher scores. It seems like they're afraid to give anyone 7's now so too many are tied by the judges.

I thought Team Goof did much better so am glad they won. I thought that Dwight would go home but can't say I'm sad that Phaedra went. I don't know what's coming up if they're going to continue to give tie scores.

@albean99 I think the high scores were because it was Disney week. They mentioned it several times...come on, it's Disney week...when the judges were giving legitimate criticism. It appears it must all be saccharine sweet when it's Disney. Next week they will probably be back to their usual selves.

I think Stephen and Dwight will be the next to go. I think that would be tough, but fair. I like everyone left.

I'd be okay if they consistently gave they all higher scores but they didn't.
