Marcus entire theme for this season is getting over fears for both himself and Andi from the time he stepped out of the limo she took his hands in hers and calmed him.
ep2 we have the edit showing us that she went to him and again reassured him. ep 3  he calmed her after the ruckus with craig. ep 4 was his 1on1 - big time getting over their fears together.

If you noticed, each time there is a ruckus we see a scene with Marcus and Andi. Then followed by another scene of something else. It is an editing patterns that I have noticed.
ep 3 there was the ruckus with Andrew featuring the pot stirrer JJ and the angry young man Josh. Immediately thereafter they showed a small scene of Marcus and Andi in the doorway.

ep 5 they showed the upset with both Nick and Marquel scenes and immediately after they showed the 1on1 time with Marcus and Andi.

It is not a coincidence that this theme of overcoming fears together and then (edited and strategically placed 1on1 times in the middle of drama) like some sort of oasis in her journey as a contrast to said drama.
Andi's blogs have also indicated this. Besides, so far I have seen only Marcus being referred to in the present tense in her blogs at all. It could be a typo of course. But like the rest of you keeping track of clues etc. this is safely at the back of my mind as is most of this post.

If I was unspoiled I would say that Marcus is the F1. And no, he is not hidden either. Being spoiled and on the sleuthing side is a different ball game altogether   .

Excellent post ND!!!!        I call it being hidden in plain sight.  Andi has made very clear that Marcus is more than just the "hot" guy and that he is the "whole" package.  So Marcus is not getting the "physical" edit.

Not only that, but Robbbbbbberto and Jillian's Eddie had to scale the heights too. Hey, I can play both sides of the fence too.

Nikki got a more well rounded edit which included her being a nurse, caring which was what JaunP said he wanted as a partener. Each episode they built on that. JuanP finding things about Nikki that he "really liked   " .

My 1% issue with Josh being F1 is that he too seems to have been pigeon holed into the ex-jock who consistantly has issue resolution with the lead in almost each episode. His edit has been him being in the controversies that have cropped up along the way plus having to resolved the doubts that Andi has in almost every episode we have seen so far. This is not an F1 edit keeping the spoilers aside.

Can anyone please remind me which F1 has had conflict and issue resolution as part of their edit in almost each episode in the last 8 to 10 seasons ? Except for Vienna.

Claire and JPG had major miss communication on almost everything, in my opinion they had different values system. She invited him to go in the water and he accepted, but then later, regretted because he though what the other contestants will feel, that was never resolved even after they talked, they just brushed it over. Later on the helicopter, she says he offended her by telling her he like f.... her. He never saw her as marriage material, only as a fling.

Now, Josh and Andi is a totally different story, they get along very well, they actually complement each other, with their family and lifestyle. They don't have any miss communication. The issue is with Andi's fear, not Josh.  Josh is his type, but she is afraid. Later on one of the interview post show she said, I will bring this from the fan thread.

I know some people say she went the easy route and went to a guy she's used to, but I think it's the opposite. She clearly had a lot to overcome with Josh and like she said in that E! interview - no guy is the same. Each guy is unique. It doesn't matter whether the guy fits into a certain "type" because each guy is different."
I believe Josh is F1, but they are making the story fuzzy because he is the spoiler F1.

I'm afraid to ask... you do know I have to "josh" you a little... Do you think the sea gull pooping on him was a sign of good luck? I wonder if the Venice pigeon pooped on Nick so he can be equally lucky. He is The Bird Man, y'know.

It is in the preview I recapped somewhere above... only we don't know for sure. The pigeons may be potty trained after all.

Marcus won't get pooped on. If he does, they will clean him up before his PI session. Marcus looks like a GQ model in every one.

In contrast, JJ always looks befuddled, unshaven, hair all over the place and stressed out in all of his PI sessions. He looked like he had been run over by a UPS truck on the basketball date. In short... they make him the "dork" he says he is.

And he mentioned as much at the group date after party. He said (I'm paraphrasing) that he repelled off of a building, stripped and mimed for Andi, but that she is worth it. I at least got the "jest" of what he was talking about.
