^^ Well, I don't know how loaded Nick personally is, but his family appears to be very well of.

I remember seeing a pic of Nicks apartment in Chicago on his friends page.... It was extremely nice with a great view. I wouldn't go as far to say he is loaded but I doubt he is lacking in income either. I like that Chris downplayed his job as well.

Keep in mind RS was living in a modest apartment and selling blankets (?) when he first started spoiling, but now I don't know. Loaded to him could me anything. I think Nick is established which is something I find incredibly attractive about him and would personally be drawn to. It seems like most who go on the show are in some sort of transitional point of their lives and are basically of the mindset, well you know I have this job that pays the bills, but going on TV could open up more doors (more money) so they happily leave their old job behind. Nick already has the good job, nice apartment, and established social circle in one of the biggest cities in the world. IMO that sets him apart most contestants. Josh and Chris seem to still be tied very much to their families for support and socializing. Nothing wrong with that, it's just a different lifestyle.

Otherwise, I don't see the similarity. Nick was a college athlete (track) and unless his family - with 11 children- is super rich, he could have gotten a track scholarship or perhaps it was scholastic.
Nick attended U of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He may have had some sort of scholarship for track, but it was a also in state, therefore not hugely expensive and absolutely commuting distance from his parents' home.
RS said he's loaded. If so, that would possibly be from his own hard work. Hard to know exactly what RS considers "loaded". Now Chantal (or at least her family) was loaded. Until I see hard evidence, I'm going to say Nick is "comfortable".
If he is Sales Director for Salesforce.com - he makes a lot of money, honey!
Well I am glad Nick may be loaded or whatever but I wish he would use some on new pants. Those blue manpris at the airport was not cute.
I am pretty sure those pants came in the goodie bag the contestants received. Not because I've read that they did, but because I've seen enough similar pieces on other guys when lounging in the house to decide that must have been the case.
Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?

dw_a_mom...You mean you saw others guys wear those kinda of pants? I never saw that so would have to go back and check. I can see JJ wearing them but not Josh, Chris or Marcus.

I would die laughing if I saw Josh, Chris or Marcus wearing some of JJ's "pantsapreneurial designs" at the end of this journey.nannymargie wrote:dw_a_mom...You mean you saw others guys wear those kinda of pants? It would be great if they all got together--the final 15 or so--and wore a pair of JJ's pants. It reminds me of Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd , those wild and crazy guys!

I'm not sure that you mean support as in financially, but certainly it seems that Josh is supporting himself fine in that regard, unless he's blown every cent he's earned. I honestly don't know much about Chris' involvement with the family farm to comment, but having families that are supportive emotionally and seem connected and sociable together is a good thing in my mind. Disconnected/dysfunctional families seem to be a problem in these days and times. I absolutely love the relationship that Josh seems to have with his family. I think Nick probably also has that kind of support and socialization with his large family, but could certainly understand his breaking away for just a bit of space for himself having grown up in that large of a family. They all seem like great guys, and that in part stems from good family foundations.noobsleuth wrote:Keep in mind RS was living in a modest apartment and selling blankets (?) when he first started spoiling, but now I don't know.
