I honestly don't know much about Chris' involvement with the family farm to comment, but having families that are supportive emotionally and seem connected and sociable together is a good thing in my mind. Disconnected/dysfunctional families seem to be a problem in these days and times. I absolutely love the relationship that Josh seems to have with his family. I think Nick probably also has that kind of support and socialization with his large family, but could certainly understand his breaking away for just a bit of space for himself having grown up in that large of a family. They all seem like great guys, and that in part stems from good family foundations.noobsleuth wrote:Keep in mind RS was living in a modest apartment and selling blankets (?) when he first started spoiling, but now I don't know. Loaded to him could me anything. I think Nick is established which is something I find incredibly attractive about him and would personally be drawn to. It seems like most who go on the show are in some sort of transitional point of their lives and are basically of the mindset, well you know I have this job that pays the bills, but going on TV could open up more doors (more money) so they happily leave their old job behind. Nick already has the good job, nice apartment, and established social circle in one of the biggest cities in the world. IMO that sets him apart most contestants. Josh and Chris seem to still be tied very much to their families for support and socializing. Nothing wrong with that, it's just a different lifestyle.
I didn't mean financially. We live close to both of our families and its every Sunday dinner and go to people to hang out with are siblings. Nick living in a different state as his family doesn't allow things like that. Like I said it's just two different lifestyles.

If you are afraid of heights, tell them you are claustrophobic. If you are afraid of swimming in deep water, tell them you are afraid of heights. I'm serious. If you played at the ocean with your deceased sibling, tell them you went skiing in Vermont together for 20 years. I've said this before and it really is good advice. Future contestants: protect yourselves. Dont give them ammunition with which to hurt you or scare you.
My application would say I have a deadly fear of chocolate and diamonds.
Mine says I hate having to be by the ocean or stay in those fussy luxury hotels. Give me a hovel in a slum and I'm good. Oh, and handsome, funny guys are so shallow.

TPTB: What do you enjoy doing?
Bet2Win: I love bungee jumping, sky diving, rapelling, swimming with sharks, and diving off cliffs.
TPTB: What would be your least enjoyable thing to do?
Bet2Win: I have a fear of anything French ... food, wine, language, fashion; so I would have a really hard time in Paris or the French Riviera. I don't think I could contain my anxiety if I were immersed in their culture.

^^^I have to say, we are a compatible bunch around here. I enjoy and fear nearly all of the same things! Go figure. I would just have to add that I really enjoy exploring underground cold, dark, eerie places and having a romantic dinner when I get to the darkest and furthest crevice.

This would make a fun thread. We would get to know a little about each other by the things "we are fearful of".

He reminds me of Spencer Pratt.nutty1 wrote:Nick reminds me of Jef also. Not looks, but personality. A bit quirky, genuine, well spoken. I know all won't agree….but that's OK!!

In terms of the Jef and Nick comparisons, outside of being from a big family and being unconventionally attractive I don't see the similarities. My reasons:
- Nick has a good job with a really good company, even a family friend posted that he does very well for himself. Even if Nick's family is well off, to do well in his field you have to be good at your job, Jef lives off his family's wealth, or so it seems
- Nick seems to be very grounded in Chicago with a core group of friends, Jef is bouncing off the walls traveling everywhere and anywhere
- Nick has had a serious relationship, Jef I don't think had a GF since he was 18
All the above aside, I think we will find out pretty quickly post-show, how each of these guys are in the real world...
Just my opinion

Jef is still behaving like he is 18, I think he never grew up past that age.
