Thats what I said last night - I wished (for the first time this season) that we had CC to hear what the heck he was saying to her.

I honestly felt annoyed at both of them. JP because, aside from having to play the game and understanding exactly what that means in terms of the show, clearly is using the only language he feels comfortable with. That may have a lot to do with the ESL aspect but also I believe just as much to do with staying within the parameters of the Bach guidelines. "It's ok." I get what he was saying, essentially, "if you don't feel that you are in love or could be in love with me, I understand, and my feelings are not hurt. I wish it were different but it's not, so I understand." i.e. IT'S OK.

On the other hand, Andi has a guy who supposedly thought enough of her to keep her till the FS date and all he can respond is, IT' OK. when she rejects him. Although I would never be in that position, I would imagine it would have been more palatable if he said, "wow, I'm so surprised, things were going so well, had a great time with your family, this is so out of the blue, didn't see it coming etc. But, I can't make you love me, if it's not there."

If I had to choose which of the two of them annoyed me more, it would have been her. She had to know he was not on her intellectual level (or at the very least not able to communicate that in English), and she continued to hammer him over and over again. If it had been shown as an exit from the FS with doors slamming and tempers flaring, (more in the moment) I could have had more patience but after the fact. It would have been done and over with, much like when Sharleen departed.

I think he either said "I like you too" or "I love you too".

I was just coming here to post a long post just about that comparing the two conversations:  so pardon the long post but I just wanted to have it posted:

I only post this to see what anyone thinks.  There is just something special with Clare & JP but I think he was surprised and taken back with Nikki and her ILY that he thought he had it figured out but now doesn't.  But we shall see.

^^^To me, it comes across as there is an easiness in Juan's relationship to Clare. He seems playful with her and not stiff. His FS invite seems a lot more personal, and he made it about them.

Perhaps there will be a transition over to Nikki, but that's a quick shift in gears for such an important decision.

Clare's invite is certainly more personal. I see good things and times of ease in both relationships so it's really a choice of which life with ____ he feels better suits him.
