I am surprised how many of the contestants come from Utah, unless I shouldn't be.

It might not make sense that brooks is final 1 but it would make even less sense if Chris or Drew were. The only guy she wants is brooks. Period.

I feel sorry for Des if the only guy she wants is Brooks. she really doesn't even know him that well. I could even call it infatuation or a crush. She'll get over her crush soon and fall in love with someone who really loves her.

What would you say if she wanted Chris or Drew?

If she is not falling in love with Chris or Drew at all then she needs to move on. If she feels like she could fall in love with one of them with Brooks out of the picture she should try to pursue it. These are 2 great guys and they really feel like they could marry her. I mean in real life if a guy liked Chris or Drew liked her I think she would date them and might eventually fall in love with one of them.

And such was not the case. She said Brooks was unlike any other guy she's met before so it's safe to say she met the Chris and Drew types before and it didn't click even then.

She did not really know Brooks that well....I mean come on...she couldn't even tell he wasn't into her. She's known him less than 2 months and they've only been on a handful of dates. She has said several times that she and Chris have a connection. She likes Chris to some degree..you can't say she has no feelings for him. I don't know, if that were me and the guy I liked more told me he wasn't in love with me and I still liked the other guy I would at least try to get over the guy who didn't really like me that much. If I kept going after "my Brooks" I'd still be single and desperate but instead I'm happily married.

And this is the part I try to stress each and every season.  I don't care who the couple is, no one is truly "in love" at the conclusion of this.  There might be some genuine interest that grows once they leave the bubble (rarely) but the reality is - no one is "in love" after what amounts to a handful of hours together in a highly unrealistic setting.  

I can never get over how many folks are utterly convinced at the end of each season of the undying love matches the believe they have witnessed.  These people like each other, are in lust with each other, whatever - but they really do not even know each other.  All they know is the person they are meeting in an idealized setting who is putting their very best foot forward to be 1) liked and 2) picked!

Very few have made a success of this mess.  But there will be high drama on the boards in the coming weeks with two camps - the "well wasn't that a load of dung" camp and the "Cinderella camp".  And I am not being mean, I never once said koolaid.

Theories?  I still don't get what happened from Brooks HTD with him saying he didn't want her to leave to the non-FD with him waying he's leaving!  

If you watched objectively, you would have seen that Brooks was not all that much into Des. Even CH said so. Most of it was in her head. She was running so fast, she didn't realize that Brooks was crawling behind her. Pun intended ;)

I'll give you my theory on Brooks, but his diehard fans will hate it.

Brooks was sure he wasn't in love with Des. He was hoping she was further along with Drew and Chris so he didn't have to face her love assertiveness (for  a lack of better term) in the FS.
Now he finds out that she was going to choose him. He doesn't need any more time with her. For what? All he has to do is continue this charade, and Des will be ecstatic with a morsel of love. There isn't enough time to fall in love with ANYONE, Des, Chris, Drew, Brooks. He could just crash the party at the end.....WHY,  you ask?

Because as soon as he got into the limo his wheels were turning-HE HAS IT IN THE BAG. All the media, publicity, his life will never be the same. I'll bet James' conversation came in real handy now.

All he has to do is play the game with Des for a few months, and his career, love life etc will go up exponentially. As his fans wrote on this board in stone HE IS A DEEP THNKER". For once, I'll agree with this statement.

I was not a Brooks 'supporter' and in light of what we just saw, even less so.... and of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I just can't agree with your perspective.  I think it's fair to call Brooks wishy washy or spineless... but personally I don't think he showed signs of being untruthful or cynical ...  misdirected, yes, self-promoting, no.

I don't think you can put any trust in anything MF or CH says. I remember in past seasons they just led us in circles.

totally... advertising dollars are given according to ratings. the higher the ratings, the bigger the bucks.

if this puppy were my investment I would want them to milk the finale all they could!

These sources don't ever seem to have any details.  That's what makes me mad that people are getting their hopes all wrapped up in Brooks/Desiree being together.

I received confirmation this morning from a very reliable source that Brooks is the F1 and the couple is happy.
Quite sure others will be hearing same and reporting such.

Thanks Kasha.  I know you didn't exactly want to hear that bit of news, but that's nice of you to post it.

Actually, it makes no difference to me who any of them pick or how long they do or don't stay together. Seriously. No snark there.
Like anyone else here, I wish people happiness and good health, blessings and strength to get through the tough times.
My own personal life is not effected by the show and I try never to involve myself to that point where it could there are too many real issues for all of us.

I don't know if you are speaking directly to me or not.
If you are:
I spend the same amount of time going through the scs and putting puzzle pieces together and snarking regardless.
This is nothing new. It's not time spent trying to disprove or prove, it's time spent in entertaining myself putting a puzzle together. Some do crossword puzzles. I do this.
I feel redundant and boring saying the same consistent bullhockey over and over, but those who insanely put up with me season after season will roll their eyes and smile agreeing this is how I am.

I guess that depends. Knowing what I know, I have no desire to watch now. Thinking she might move on and perhaps end her season dating one of the other two or being strong and leaving alone - I was interested and would have watched. To me, this is just another rehash of every failed connection season - let's make pretend...
