How can you say Brooks was not honest with Des because he did not tell her he was talking to his family.  What was he suppose to do  call her or go knock on her door and tell her.  He hasn't been able to see her since the HT date.

READ her blog. Des is saying in her blog that she was NOT aware of some things, and she mentions the Brooks' family talk until she saw it on TV. Obviously she writes these blogs AFTER she watches the episode. IF she's currently with him don't you think he'd tell her the entire story?

Thank you for saying this and keeping it real! I say read her blog for yourselves and see exactly what she said! She wrote this blog after watching the episode! So this was the first time that she saw Brooks talking to his family and heard him expressing these doubts.  If they really are together and he was her F1 in the end, then wouldn't he have told her about this? Why would he not let her know about this important talk with his family?

What Des is saying in her blog is not difficult to understand.  What I simply don't understand is why anyone would still want Des to be with Brooks given all that has happened and what CH said on GMA and what Des herself said in her blog? Is it about her happiness or satisfying fans of Brooks?

I agree with both of your posts. I honestly don't see how he comes back with what Des is saying in her blog and with what CH is saying on GMA. If he does come back, I cannot see the chance that she took him back. I know there are A LOT of bres fans here, but, I really don't think this ends with them together.

 Are you purposely trying to annoy anyone? Your posts are comical.

On a serious note, did Des say she was not aware that he spoke with his family when they initially broke up in Antigua or that she didn't know it until now (present day)?

That is exactly the point she was trying to make.

The fact is that Des pointed out in her blog that she did not know that Brooks spoke to his family prior to Antigua.
If he was her F1 - wouldn't that have been discussed between them since filming ? Surely he would have spoken to her about his confusion and doubt.

That itself is a huge red flag IMO and I'm not sure why when stuff like this is being pointed out the poster is being made fun of.  
Is everyone in high school here ?

It is entirely possible that he is F1 and the spoilers are right. We have all known that since day 1 and Brooks f1 should come as a shock to nobody. But how about tracking a few clues that they are wrong ?

Well said! I don't think there is any reason for it to get so personal that other posters have to be attacked.  Someone is explaining a point and just because it doesn't happen to go along with what someone else may want, then it has to be comical?  I don't get it. As has been said, this is just reality show.  The people involved usually manage to come out of it okay. They do go on with their lives. The world doesn't end.  

I see nothing wrong with providing clues that the spoiled ending may not be correct.  

Once again, I find myself agreeing with both ND and Native. Rose colored glasses are a pain in the butt sometimes when you are trying to sleuth out clues that have been there that need to be questioned.

IF Bres are together now, then fine, but somehow this season has had so many redflags that are saying that bres aren't together and Des picked someone else.

I think Brooks will come back. For so many reasons, but the best reason is in the distance I hear a bus. And we all know that bus has one purpose and one purpose only... to see who gets thrown under it. CH going on and on with his Brooks yada yada is so Machine. Yeah, CH was so shocked Brooks did what he did last episode. CH didn't see that coming?? Yeah, than how did they arrange those last minute plane tickets days after the other 2 guys left from the 3RC?


I heard Brooks and Des' LCD will be swimming with sharks---oh wait that wasn't their LCD that was ATFR.

I think Brooks gave his feelings a lot of thought prior to this week's FDs.  He knew he liked Des, enjoyed Des, loved certain qualities of Des, BUT he was not IN love with Des.  I give him credit for coming to that realization.  It is the same analysis that Des has been going through with each of her rejected men---they are great guys with great qualities on paper and in person, BUT "it" just is not there. She has to essentially break up with guys who are fantastic men, men who have not done anything wrong, who will make incredible husbands and fathers someday, simply because "it" is not there. It is a difficult thing to do, especially when the guy (or in this case, Des) does not see it coming.

I don't fault Brooks for dreading his conversation with Des.  I feel he wanted to let her down gently, see her move on to further pursue relationships with Drew and Chris, and get her happy ending because he thinks she is a great person. He wasn't expecting her to be shattered by his confession of not being in love with her. When he said it was the worst day of his life, I believe that was his guilt over making Des cry and breaking her heart.  He was the cause of her pain, and that was difficult to process.

When he said he missed her already, didn't want to leave her, and something to the effect that he wanted to say he loved her, I believe this was because he was putting a permanent end to a nice relationship with a great girl, he wanted to help ease her pain, and he wished he didn't have to put her through all of that.  It was gut-wrenching for him to have to see her in so much pain. All of his struggles and emotions are understandable up to this point.

If it had ended right here, I would argue with Kasha that Brooks does have a backbone, and I would wager a bag of fig newtons (or the snack of her choice) that an xray would prove that.  However, the buzz around this show leads us to believe that Brooks doesn't stand up straight and just walk away. The buzz suggests he returns due to an epiphany.  I don't believe an epiphany of this magnitude can occur in a few days.  

I believe he is still mired in guilt and shame for hurting a great girl so much, wanting to "make it all better" for her, that he convinces himself that the best thing to do is return, explain his confusion, ask her for more time together, and tell her that he missed her so much in the past few days that he now knows she is "the one".  He missed her so much because he just ended a relationship with a girl who is great on paper for him, somebody with whom he has great chemistry, somebody who never hurt or cheated on him, who he hasn't grown bored with yet. He cannot reconcile walking away from this relationship now that he knows he's hurt her so deeply and how much she does love him, BUT those are NOT good reasons to return.

IF he gave the relationship as much thought and analysis as he claims that he did when he came to the conclusion that he wasn't IN love with Des, what he spoke to his family and to CH about, then his returning is a huge mistake.  THIS would be the point in time in which his spine went from bone to spaghetti. He fell apart under the pressure and guilt of breaking Des' heart. He waffled after the fact. The fact that Des announced she was in love with him, should have no influence over whether or not he loves her.  It just shouldn't.  Mature adults fall in love and have unrequited love all of the time.  They deal with it and move on.  It is sophomoric for a grown man to suddenly feel IN love with a woman simply because SHE professed her love for him.  THAT is the sort of thing that middle school romances are made of.  It shouldn't have had a lick of influence over Brooks either being in love or not in love with Des.  Know thyself. And this stands true even in this stupid, crazy Bach Bubble.  Know thyself.

My personal guess is that Des spends the day following Brooks' breakup curled up in the fetal position. Then she walks around for a day or two with zombie eyes (the lights are on but nobody's home), possibly dismissing 1 or both of her men.  At this point TPTB instigate or allow Brooks to see her and speak to her, and he waffles and they come to the conclusion to give their relationship another chance.  Possibly with an exchange of a $75,000 Neil Lane ring as a symbol of their commitment to give it a whirl in the real world.  Relationships and proposals should be built upon rock (bone) and not sand (spaghetti). I know this is a show with a history of faked proposals, but I really don't want to see another one!

If the spoilers are wrong, MF will have pulled off a really big coupe.....how awesome would that be?? Sleuthers would be out in full force next season if this is the case

For 1 season perhaps and then back to square 1. Lets wait to see how monday pans out before we decide on how to sleuth the next season though.

If you were Brooks and Des and had to meet in a safehouse every other weekend, would you focus on the here and now or the "worst day of your life"? I doubt they even discuss the show much at all. Previous couples have indicated that as well.

Ask Brad Womack how often he discussed the show with Emily...

 Emily and Des are night and day. I mean, they have zero in common.

Maybe so, but the inference I think is that Brooks and Emily are alike with the insecurity level, etc. I do think though that Brooks is gone and Des moves on to find the one that will truely love her back as much as she loves him. Be it Chris or Drew.

I hope for wrong spoilers every season, not because I don't want the season to end the way it's predicted to... I just want to go back to not knowing and/or having doubts. And more than anything.. I want RS to be wrong, wrong, wrong!!!
