Just an opinion. None of us know.
But I trust the multiple spoiler sources and don't think there will be any twist along the lines of her pick actually being Chris.
Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?

I actually thought Molly and Jason made a great couple and weren't surprised they got married....however not so sure about Des and Brooks...esp with Brooks not being sure about Des. If he doesn't love her in the bubble things will only be harder outside of the bubble.
Giving how little we see, none of us know, of course not. But when you hang around all these forums you do hear things, and you do get a sense of who has good sources and who doesn't, and what rumblings you should be listening to. I think what we've seen of Brooks is consistent with the rumblings - ie, that he isn't ready to get married. I'd love to be wrong and have him suddenly be "there" as a result of this experience, but one can't count on that.
Back in the Jason and Molly season, they always had a spark, but the show wasn't edited to show us much of how they got along, or much of who either of them really are. Got to say, as they've let us get to know them, I just love them together. Their pod casts crack me up. But something they make very clear: what we see on The Bachelor is only maybe 10% real. So the rumor mill almost feels more accurate to me than what I see on TV.
But I don't watch the show for reality, I watch it for fantasy, and everyone is absolutely entitled to their own fantasy. That is what it is all about, that is why so little is real. Knowing the other stuff just keeps me from getting carried away with my fantasy, because it is easy to get too invested in these couples we don't even know, and as fun as that can be, I'm at a point in my life where I'm just not ready to go down the rapids with it. I did it once seasons and seasons ago and had a blast doing so, but once is enough.
Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?

Just curious, why do you keep bringing up Jason and Molly. This is really a different situation than what happened between Jason and molly so am wondering why they are getting lumped into this season. Thanks.Pattycake92 wrote:Destined to fail? I guess cuz Jason dumped Molly and she took him back and they are happily married....but there are many differences between what happened to them and what is happening with Brooks and Des so I don't think it's that great of a comparison.

I completely agree with the bolded. Unfortunately this season, anyone that has tried to come on here and give a different opinion than the Brooks love has been put through the wringer. I thought that we were allowed to sleuth on here, yet when some tried to do that, they were told to "just believe the spoiler" as that is easiest. I feel it is sad that people here have felt that they couldn't post stuff that went against the spoiler of Brooks being F1 as they were called out as being haters, etc. Hope that we can all get back together soon??????Nativenewyorker wrote:SueSt wrote:Native, I always appreciate your non-nonsense, well-meaning, respectful perspective. It's what each person chooses to believe after watching this show and processing all of the information. It's not like some are right and others are wrong. I don't know why this seems to be so hard for some to understand. Everyone here should be able to speak their truth. They should be able to say what they think without fear of retribution or personal attacks. The whole point of a discussion is to have an exchange of different opinions. Not for everyone to fall in lockstep thinking the party line.
It's funny because I have been saying that the one thing I took from that emotional scene Monday night, is that for Des it was always going to be Brooks or no one. If I had any doubt, watching that scene settled it once and for all. However, I have been able to listen to my fellow Drew fans speculating and holding to their hope that Des sees the light and finds her way to him. I have listened to the Chris fans talking about why they think she can still find a way to pick him. I don't see it, but I did not feel the need to demean or disrespect their beliefs. I have told them that they should stick to what they want or hope or believe.
After Monday night, I believed that Des would either be with Brooks in some way or alone. Those were my two possibilities. So now we have the confirmation that she is with Brooks and is happy. Why should I feel shocked or freak out? This was one of my two scenarios. Now it's quite another thing if I talk about what I think of them being together after all that has happened. It's another thing to say what I think of Brooks. It will be up to them to try to make this work in real life. I don't need the fairytale ending. I don't live vicariously through these people. Des made her decision very early on and it's her life. She has the right to choose her F1. She did that. So I accept the outcome. But what I think of it is a whole other thing altogether.
So, you accept the outcome... but what DO you think of it??? Inquiring minds want to know!! :-)
Are you kidding? Have you been reading some of what's being said on this thread for anyone who dares to question the ending or Brooks in any way?
Do I really want to be called "mean" and a "hater"? Not really. That's what happens all too often when you try to say what you honestly think.
What I will say is that Brooks took too much time to make his decision for me to think that it can be undone so soon. He made it a point to go to Boise to see his family and discuss his feelings or the lack thereof, then he flew to Antigua and spoke with CH. He had some time to think it over. If he had just done this impulsively, gotten cold feet all of a sudden, then maybe it would be different. But he was feeling this way for a while. So I just don't see this quick turnaround.
I think Brooks should have left and stayed away. No matter what he might have realized, he just blindsided Des and dumped her in front of a national tv audience. He didn't ask for a retake! I want to see how this all plays out. I have to see how Des is going to come around and pick Brooks as F1. I still do not think Brooks is ready for a serious, lifelong commitment.
That's about all I am comfortable saying at this time. A lot will depend on what happens next. I want to see how Des handles Chris and Drew. I want to see how she resolves what happened with Brooks.

Neither do I, but this isn't the first time the comparrison has been brought up so wondered why it was so important to use that comparison.treschicas wrote:Aunties_Love wrote:Just curious, why do you keep bringing up Jason and Molly. But it's ironic because you could also use that relationship and compare to Des ending up with Chris S....you could say that Des (like Jason) falls in love with the wrong person (Brooks/Melissa) and then realizes s/he should be with Chris S (Molly).

That's true, guess we just have to watch and see if the muddy waters become clearer.treschicas wrote:Aunties_Love wrote:Neither do I, but this isn't the first time the comparrison has been brought up so wondered why it was so important to use that comparison.treschicas wrote:Aunties_Love wrote:Just curious, why do you keep bringing up Jason and Molly.
