LOL, BTW, I do agree with what Kasha said. Thanks Native for the definitions. Should be made clear now.Nativenewyorker wrote:SusieQ wrote:Aunties_Love wrote:Yes, you do. IMO. I do, too.
It seems as he developed from embryo, fetus, baby and to grown adult his skeleton system never completely developed and solidified. He has failed to completely develop a spine! And now as full adult male it seems he has pasta spine syndrome! One of the main symptoms is being mealy mouthed and tends to wishy washiness, can be found primarily moving from job to job and living with family.
WOW! I can understand that you don't like him but that is pretty low when you don't even know him.
My post has nothing to do with whether or not I like him. Rarely do I get that far with any of the cast, as you are right, I don't know them. I say rarely, as some I do get to know.
So to say I don't like him, is an incorrect interpretation, I don't care either way enough to like or dislike him as he and I do not have a relationship. My postings are a commentary on my opinion based on what I do know about him and see on my screen. I am not the first to call him wishy washy--CH did himself.
When you make the choice to put yourself out there--you are a target for all kinds of snark and opinions.
As far as being "low", believe me I have restrained myself this season on all fronts. I think I deserve kudos for behaving!!!
I didn't appreciate how she described Brooks, either. I somehow don't think she's accurate since she doesn't even know him, and even if she was I don't think it's very nice.
I think Brooks showed great backbone by having the guts to think, having the strength to decide he was going to leave and having the guts, again to follow through with it and the strength to not let her or his own still strong feelings sway him from his course—because she did try in her way, to sway him. I know that I would've had a very hard time doing what he did. He had more backbone than I would've had.
Now, will he continue to show himself well the next episode (if at all?) I hope so.
Since some Brooks fans have been owning CH's description of Brooks as "wishy washy", I thought that it was time to post the dictionary definition of this term. See below.
1. incapable of making firm decisions: changeable or fluctuating in character, especially unable to make firm decisions or develop clear opinions
2. lacking strength or color: weak, lacking taste, or unattractively pale
Synonyms: weak, feeble, indecisive, spineless, flavorless, namby-pamby, spiritless, pathetic, irresolute, ineffectual, ineffective
Oops, there's that word spineless! Among other adjectives. Just wanted to put this out there for clarification.

To me, the key is Des saying in a VO about being loved so much by "someone"
Knowing she deserved it etc.
Finding it hard to believe that would apply to Brooks who admitted he wasn't in love with her days before but rather it sounded more to be like a breakthrough for her to finally see this person loved her all along
( Drew or Chris) and it just sounded like it was more of a lightbulb going off !
All along she has commented about wanting a guy who tells her he loves ..,,so unless Brooks does an about face( def a possibility in TV land) she choose Drew or Chris .
I too, think it's Chris !!
Nativenewyorker wrote:nd4reality wrote:beader wrote:All I can say is that if Brooks can have an epiphany and realize he actually loves Des, couldn't Des have an epiphany and realize she loves Chris--or Drew? I don't understand how there is enough time for Brooks to realize who he needs and loves but not enough time for Des to realize what she needs and loves.
Again - double standard. Guess we should be used to this type of reasoning by now.
I am glad this post was brought up again. It bears repeating.
beader,
You summed it all up beautifully. A double standard and the hypocrisy of not believing that Des could have an epiphany prompted by the one guy she wanted dumping her right before their FD! I don't know that this will happen, but it's just as reasonable, maybe more so, than this idea that Brooks will have an "aha" moment and see the light a few days later.

Re: The Final One (F1) - Bachelorette 9 - Spoilers - Thread #4
On another note.. Can anyone help me with this.. Was it analyzed early in the season?
Here's the VO I want to ask about:
1st episode promo VO.. "After tonight, I want him down on one knee, because I love him and I always knew I was deserving of it, but I have never felt so loved." 1st episode preview...Then in the red dress (chris LCD) we have seen her say the part.. "I never felt so loved." and in another preview (not sure which one) which I think is the next sentence.. "I never felt like" shown again, not a VO.
Do you think it's spliced? If it's not, I think that tells us the F1.

I just wanted to correct the bolded.
This is what I posted earlier:
I never said who I do or don't know, did I?I don't know them. I say rarely, as some I do get to know.
Now for the huge reveal who do you think that woman is with Brooks?
That can't be our own Kasha can it?? Say it ain't so!!

Unfortunately I agree with you. Hopefully she'll fare better in her next relationship.
