Again - double standard. Guess we should be used to this type of reasoning by now.
I am glad this post was brought up again. It bears repeating.
beader,
You summed it all up beautifully. A double standard and the hypocrisy of not believing that Des could have an epiphany prompted by the one guy she wanted dumping her right before their FD! I don't know that this will happen, but it's just as reasonable, maybe more so, than this idea that Brooks will have an "aha" moment and see the light a few days later.
Well put, guys!...i can see the probability of Des have an epiphany to realize she was in love with either Chris/Drew is way higher than BRooks suddenly madly in love with her. After all, Des has been saying she was falling in love/have a strong feeling w Chris and admires Drew's qualities/can be passionate with him. Without Brooks in the equation she may realized what she has with each of the remaining guys quickly. If Brooks ever return and profess his love, i will call it "a producer driven epiphany". As his fans always state, he is a thoughtful guy. He already took proper time to seek in his self to realize that he was not in love, the IT wasnt there..he knew exactly his feeling since he was in love before, as the reference.I really cant see how the IT can be there in around 5 days after him leaving her, because the IT never there. While for Des, the IT for each guy is already there, so it could grow exponentially after Brooks left. JMHO

He was already regretting his decision the same day where as she is still wanting to go home and quit during the f2 rose ceremony. We shall see.
I hear ya !! Good points but she said she was blind sided & so shocked that she could be so wrong about how he was feeling as she stated how she thought they were on the same page even early on.
Sometimes, when that happens to you many times you say wow how could I be so wrong & miss that & you say what else am I missing ? Lightbulb epiphany ahh moment drum roll
Enter Drew Chris & you realize that what you really wanted was right before you !!
I know I know probably way off & it's Brooks either way they promised it would be riveting right?

I do, too.
It seems as he developed from embryo, fetus, baby and to grown adult his skeleton system never completely developed and solidified. He has failed to completely develop a spine! And now as full adult male it seems he has pasta spine syndrome! One of the main symptoms is being mealy mouthed and tends to wishy washiness, can be found primarily moving from job to job and living with family.
WOW! I can understand that you don't like him but that is pretty low when you don't even know him.
My post has nothing to do with whether or not I like him. Rarely do I get that far with any of the cast, as you are right, I don't know them. I say rarely, as some I do get to know.
So to say I don't like him, is an incorrect interpretation, I don't care either way enough to like or dislike him as he and I do not have a relationship. My postings are a commentary on my opinion based on what I do know about him and see on my screen. I am not the first to call him wishy washy--CH did himself.
When you make the choice to put yourself out there--you are a target for all kinds of snark and opinions.
As far as being "low", believe me I have restrained myself this season on all fronts. I think I deserve kudos for behaving!!!
Personally, I appreciate Kasha's honesty too. I'm not a fan of snark, and I've often disagreed with Kasha's assessments over the seasons, but I'm a sucker for intelligence and Kasha has that in spades.

I think he was regretting it while he was doing it. I just re-watched and posted a "as best I could" word for word which highlights his indecision/looking for an out.

Personally, I'd say that it's a much shorter jump to go from confused about your feelings about caring for somebody and not ready to propose, to loving somebody... than it is to jump from being madly in love with one person on day, crying your eyes out over your loss and then falling in love with another person in a few days, enough to accept a proposal.
All I'm reading as I skim through posts is that it's become an old fashioned pissing contest as to who's favorite is better. I like them all and hope they're all happy.
The (FRC) Proposal..."Will you marry me because I'd really like to date you"

I was just going to say the same thing. Anything is possible, but I think the leap from having feelings for someone then those feelings turning to love are more believable than being madly in love with one person one day to a different person the next.
I also am LOLing at the Epiphany reference, and thinking of GH

I mean seriously she spent like 30 minutes telling brooks that he was the only one that she wanted. I mean they could done a better job at editing the show to protect chris. I mean come on she said that while she was on the other dates she wanted to be with brooks. She said over and over again that she doesn't feel as strongly for chris and drew. Her saying she suddenly realizes she loves chris is bull.
Whatever!!!...As long as they (Des and F1) are happy, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks or say. It is what happens after the show ends that matter, not all the big production that led to their coming together. That is for our entertainment...or not. People get out of relationships with guys/girls that they thought were the loves of their lives one day, walk into a store the next day and meet someone new and fall in love, for real. At times, you need another point of view, or someone else to come along to show you that what you thought was gold was just actually shiny brass!
