Theories?  I still don't get what happened from Brooks HTD with him saying he didn't want her to leave to the non-FD with him waying he's leaving!  

This is what I think, the guys are not together any longer so Brooks is alone.  That is not good for a thinker in this situation.  I thought his home town was great because he runs up to her, says he missed her and where you been all my life plus he did not want her to leave and for the first time he saw a union of marriage with Des.  Do you see this with someone you don't love? NO WAY!  

His brothers and sister told him things that made him think even more and maybe doubt what he was feeling was love.  He even told Des that everything in head told him this was right.  But by thinking so much he did not allow his heart to feel it.

Now when he was breaking up with her and she was crying he said he did not want to leave her, he did not want her to cry.  Bingo his heart took over and he did not have time to think about it, he was just  feeling it.  So that is when I think he realized he loved her.  

He was a mess in his PI, he already missed the moments they had together and missed them a lot.  Why, because he wasn't  thinking anymore he was just feeling it.  In the limo I am sure he could not face the fact that he would never see her again.  So he goes back and tries to make it right.

I hope this made sense, it does to me anyway.

If you watched objectively, you would have seen that Brooks was not all that much into Des. Even CH said so. Most of it was in her head. She was running so fast, she didn't realize that Brooks was crawling behind her. Pun intended ;)

I'll give you my theory on Brooks, but his diehard fans will hate it.

Brooks was sure he wasn't in love with Des. He was hoping she was further along with Drew and Chris so he didn't have to face her love assertiveness (for  a lack of better term) in the FS.
Now he finds out that she was going to choose him. He doesn't need any more time with her. For what? All he has to do is continue this charade, and Des will be ecstatic with a morsel of love. There isn't enough time to fall in love with ANYONE, Des, Chris, Drew, Brooks. He could just crash the party at the end.....WHY,  you ask?

Because as soon as he got into the limo his wheels were turning-HE HAS IT IN THE BAG. All the media, publicity, his life will never be the same. I'll bet James' conversation came in real handy now.

All he has to do is play the game with Des for a few months, and his career, love life etc will go up exponentially. As his fans wrote on this board in stone HE IS A DEEP THNKER". For once, I'll agree with this statement.

I was not a Brooks 'supporter' and in light of what we just saw, even less so.... and of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I just can't agree with your perspective.  I think it's fair to call Brooks wishy washy or spineless... but personally I don't think he showed signs of being untruthful or cynical ...  misdirected, yes, self-promoting, no.  

I totally agree.  

Ariela -- you may be on to something, but I have an adjustment.  I'm not sure that he got into the limo and thought "Bingo!  I can be a star!!"  Maybe he did, we'll most likely never know!  But I DO think that he got into the limo knowing full well that his image was harshly tarnished -- that America would view him as a jerk and then some -- and figured that it was EASIER to go back, apologize, fake his undying love, propose, and then hope that eventually she would lose interest in the real world.  After all, that is what typically happens.  I have stated before that I think he is not used to having to deal alone with any issues in his life -- that someone typically is there to bail him out.  Faking a happy ending was the easiest move for him -- and he aided MF in making all of the viewing sappy girls deliriously delighted.

Just my very humble, yet realistic opinion.

How do you figure that everyone has sources is all of a sudden.  We had 4-5 all season.  I think there might be 1 new one lately.  All the others are just confirming that Brooks is F1.

All season long there have been spoilers that say Brooks is the F1 and that they are engaged.
There really haven't been ANY spoilers to say the contrary.

After Monday night's episode and CH's unflattering remarks
regarding Brooks in numerous interviews I questioned if
in fact the original spoilers by RS and others were true.

After reaching out to specific " friends" not on
this site it was confirmed to me that Des and Brooks ,as of yesterday , are  "still together and happy".

I think after Monday night I know myself and possibly the others went looking for additional information and confirmation that they are in fact together. That's  why it may SEEM like all of sudden there are new sources THIS WEEK in particular.

Thanks Goldie. I guess for me its just too much of a coincidence that everyone gets the same confirmation around the same timeframe.

Very understandable - would seem odd that in ANY week there are numerous sources re- confirming the spoilers .

But if you put it in the context of THIS WEEK and all that's transpired on Monday and
with CH interviews, I think it's easier to see why it's happening.

All of the posters with the "source" are longtime posters and have thousands of posts. I am reading through here thinking that Blondiegal (I think that is her name) is the source, and if so, yes she has been reliable- She confirmed Jef, I think it was her who knew about Emily rather than Chantel in the Brad 2.0 season, and confirmed that Sean would be the next bachelor. If that is the case, it is a reliable poster. I am  just guessing, unless she too has been Fleissed- doubt it though. (Maybe she IS Fleiss?? Just kidding)

For the moment, here are the facts :
- Brooks dumped Des in a harsh way
- CH blogged a not very flattering portrait of Brooks
- Des blogged she didn't know before watching last episode the Brooks conversation with mom and sis
- Drew and Chris will have a LCD
- a FRC set looking more like a funerarium than a wedding chapel. No lead, no contestant pictured in.
Make your own conclusion.

Much as I think Chris is a great guy - I am suspect that Des picks Chris as the F1.  I think he is the back-up - the one who goes along with the story, is perfect for her etc.  Kind of like Chris L was for Ali - and Melissa R was for Jason (remember the wish to be a kindergarten teacher or stay home and take care of the kids when she had them ?) and the one the viewers love.  Set up for next bach maybe?  The reason I say this is that when Des asked Chris what he wanted out of this he said he wanted to be in a relationship.  This is exactly what Des had said earlier to Chris H.  They both love sports, being active, he is funny - she laughs hysterically with him.  He writes poetry - she writes poetry etc.  It's all so perfect.  The suntan application reminded me of Ben with Ashley - too up close and personal - Chris did not seem relaxed at all.  I think it's all scripted.  Chris has got to have seen what was going on with Brooks and Des.  The producers need to have someone to carry the show along.  What if everyone except the intended F1 left ?  In her poem Des wants Chris to have a place in her heart (in other words remember what we have been through in this adventure - but not necessarily love).  She toasts him and thanks him for his support (not very lovey dovey).  She tells Chris' father - Chris is a great guy.  Again not very smitten.  I know all of this could be because she was in love with Brooks.  But I think a leap to Chris is unlikely.
The other thing - Des was asked by the Catherine and the other girls - who was the best kisser?  Des said Drew.  With all the voice overs I would think they would have changed that to Brooks if he was the final one.  I am wondering if somehow (and it would be out of left field because I have seen nothing of falling for Drew on Des' part) Drew is told by Des about her feelings for Brooks etc but he persists and convinces her.  He moves to L.A.(maybe abc got him a job ?)  and they're supposedly engaged... Not sure if I could buy this scenario but it would be a weird ending.  He was first out of the limos on M&G night - he had the rose petals all over the bed.  If Drew is the F1 - that would be a surprise for sure !

Out of left field for sure. I just find the timing of Drews move to the same area that Des is in to be suspect is all. Guess we will find out on Monday
