It was that new posters to which love_me responded that was what she was hearing too. Then the next day the spoiler came out that Brooks was F1 via (cmiiw) San.
Thanks. Maybe some truth to it since thats what Love was hearing initially, rather than a poster who hasn't been back. Maybe Brooks showed up right after that or it really is Drew, Drew, Drew! THough I still don't think her body language matches her words w him.
Both heard it was Drew and then they heard from more trusted sources he wasn't. That's all I recall. Everything has been confusing ever since.
Wait until next episode when RS is wrong again.

I always try to remember that these people are much younger than I am. My life experience has taught me a lot, the hard way! So it's easy for me to see what is going on and the warning signs for Des and Brooks. I absolutely agree that if it has to be that complicated and the guy bails and then comes back, it usually doesn't work out. When it's that difficult and you have to work that hard and someone leaves and then comes back, it's just an indication that it was not meant to be. Now others may see it quite differently. The other argument could be that if they can surmount these obstacles, then it will stand the test of time. But given how quickly everything happens on this show and how difficult it is to really know each other in a compressed period of time, then I do think this kind of struggle is indicative of a relationship that won't make it in the long term.
Native, ITA. I'm also older and in younger days felt like the struggle proved that you had feelings for each other ... and it was worth fighting for. But experience taught me that just the opposite is true. Having been there, done that, I can now see that when it's right, there is no struggle; it's just easy. No fear, no hesitation, just trust and love.
Exactly, life IS hard for two people and they work together to get through as a couple...the problem is this is a quadruple.
Yes, we should keep in mind that this show has nothing whatsoever to do with real life! Quadruple! Well said! Three guys and a girl! Someone should make a movie out of it!
This show is like dating on steroids! They don't really spend much actual time with the lead and yet they are all in this competition to win her. I think the bubble effect takes hold and they can think that it's love until they are once again back in the real world.
People who make a commitment in real life should be willing to stick it out through the good and the bad. That's what the marriage vows say. It's not easy to stay married, but if it's too hard right from the beginning then how on earth can they survive the real tests that they will face in life? On this show there is a great deal of pressure to commit and fall in love quickly, but aside from that they are cut off from their family and friends, no internet, no cell phones, but a lot of time spent in beautiful locations. It's really so strange and I am amazed that many of them deal with it so well.
In real life Brooks would only be dating Des exclusively, I hope. He would have plenty of time to get to know her. He could talk with his family and get some feedback. Same for the other guys. But that is not the case. I just think that Brooks may have real feelings for Des but may not be ready to make that kind of commitment.

Two cases :
1. They don't know. The next question is then : How it is !?
2. They know. Why don't they tell us the story ?
Aren't you curious about this ?

This is the stumbling block for me too. RS gets info about the F4(Drew) who goes to F3 but no details how/why he got the wrong info. He also has little to no details on what happens in Antigua. To me, we do have sc's that prove one theory and idea. I know that idea isn't popular, but on the other hand, isn't it worth investigating and giving consideration to?misticia wrote:I am suddenly questionning something : we got four different sources (including RS) WHO was the F1 but none told us HOW he became the F1, the thing that everyone is trying to figure out there. WHY ?

I think it is. These four people should have informants on the set or at TPTB or with contestants relatives (for example RS got a precise description for the seven first episode. What type of person can give that to him ? I think about technical crew). The four spoilers are same : this is Brooks. If I had an informant, I would at least ask how the choice process went, above all if my informant told me first the F1 was Drew. Wouldn't you ?Aunties_Love wrote:This is the stumbling block for me too. RS gets info about the F4(Drew) who goes to F3 but no details how/why he got the wrong info. I think they each have multiple sources. I know RS has multiple ones. I think you give what is taken to you and don't probe too much. I know Love_Me has said she totally trusted this source. I agree I would want to ask a million questions, but that's probably why I'd lose my source!! I think when you are on the receiving end, you have to be patient. JMO.
