I don't know how to quote from the closed thread but Veg_out's post about the edit of the Bres story is really good:

I wanted to add:  also in Germany when Bryden leaves at the group date in the igloo Des says something to the effect of "Bryden leaving was hard for me but if any of you don't see me in your life don't waste any more time."  Brooks face is shown looking intently at her during this moment.  That was when I started to get nervous because the foreshadowing jumped out at me there.

Also there's foreshadowing of being hurt even from their first date;
-on the Hollywood sign she's willing to take the risk to get her heart broken and them talking about if you're not meant for that person then it's better for them and you to end it
-Brooks wondering if he wants to do that "bring you to tears" kind of love again and seeming reluctant to open up and get hurt
- Des "you have to go through the hard stuff to get to where you need to be"

I think they set up this story line really well and wove it through the season.  I just hope there is enough similar evidence of overcoming the obstacle to support a happy ending after the crazy!

Relaxing, good add-ons! I reposted it in case others want to use it for sleuthing or discussion.

Chris and Drew have two dates in Antigua, which means that they at least have LCDs. The F3 RC is like Ali and Ashley's in which she asks the men to accept her rose if they still want to continue. Brooks must not be there for the night of his FSD or a LCD unless they are hiding it, but the edit has told us since episode 4 that Brooks would leave for some period of time:

Episode 4:
During the episode 4 cocktail party regarding Bryden, we have both Brooks making comments that might again be foreshadowing: Bryden says, "I'm just being honest with her, and I think she needs to know where I'm at, (this part is laid over Brooks face) and then we'll both decide on something tonight." In a VO/PI immediately after that, Brooks says, "Bryden's having [an issue with] this whole process and if he doesn't feel like she's the right girl for him, then pack your bags ("pack your bags" is spliced in)." Throughout the season, there have been other VOs or comments made by other guys that are laid over Brooks that indicate that he might leave.

Episode 5:
When discussing the Bryden departure, Brooks makes this comment, "She's asked for us to be open, and let her know how we're feeling, and he has been open with her, and let her know [that], prior to coming here, he was already questioning that, so I would be surprised if she hadn't prepared herself of the possibility that he could be going home." Foreshadowing, anyone? In week 7 and week 8, we hear about Brooks' being behind on his feelings. We even hear Des tell his mom that Brooks told her that he wasn't sure about marriage before he came on the show.

Why are they leaving these tidbits in? I think that they left in the above and her confession of love for a reason: they are building the backdrop for her heartbreak when something pulls away this man.

Episode 8:
At the rose ceremony, Zak and Des become a mirror of the Des and Brooks’ relationship. Chris says that they-- Zak and Des-- had built a pretty good relationship, and Brooks says, “I don’t think he saw it coming.” To Zak, Des says that because he was so expressive she had to weigh her feelings and she wasn’t at the same place as he was. Flip it, and we have Brooks telling Des next week that he’s out.

I'm still trying to figure out if Drew could have a conflict at this stage. Same with Chris. They are both going to be blindsided if they don't realize on some level that it's each of them against Brooks. The interesting thing: By the end of FSD episode, all three of them will have a conflict at the same time that needs to be resolved. From the looks of it on the blanket with Drew, Des and he are in the heat of it. If she doesn't say anything to Chris OR if he handles it the way that he did Bryden, then I'm expecting Chris to be Kiptyn in this scenario. Most likely, Brooks will return before or during the FRC as a way to "respond" to his brothers' questions about not being able to live without her. Maybe not. But, maybe, it's any man's game depending on Des' emotional process after Brooks' departure.

Does anyone think Bryden interupting Chris' date to tell Des he was leaving (rather than wait for a more appropriate time) was foreshadowing something for the FRC or something else at the end?
Also, keeping in mind what Chris said in a PI on that date (paraphrasing) He didn't know why Bryden was there, but he hoped it wouldn't upset Des. If it did, he would have to handle things differently (or something to that effect).

I had a theory yesterday that Chris leaves as F3 and it was pointed out that Chris had a LCD. Can someone tell me how we know that for sure? I may have missed something and apologize.

I am seeing two outfits and one suit.

Is the below scenario possible?

I think the boat and helicopter weren't the purpose of the dates per se, but the modes of transportation.

AM FD: Stingray city is hard to get to by car. The sailboat may just be to get them there. You can't take the boat in close so as not to disturb the stingrays, so they had to kayak to the shore. (Des - Peach/white ombre bathing suit; Chris - Blue trunks)

The laying down photos on the boat are from Madeira (different Peach bathing suit and white bracelet).

PM - Meet for evening portion (Des - macrame top and long slacks (from a very early on SC; Chris - purple shirt/striped trunks). Helicopter takes them to the beach where they picnic and Des has olive bathing suit. (Those photos are later in the day).

Yacht photo (Chris - Blue button down shirt; Des - sundress) - from Madeira.

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT CHRIS CLOSE-UP IN BLUE BUTTON DOWN SHIRT IS IN MADEIRA?
If you look at hotel pics with all of the guys, they have glass-topped tables and Chris is sitting near a glass-top table??? He is wearing the blue button-down shirt.

Suit: The suit looks grey in the bright light RC (can't see the tie) and black in the limo (dark lighting). But if you lighten the photo in the limo, is it possible it could be grey? Do we have other suit pics?

I think that from Date 1 things were going too smoothly between Des and Brooks so MF decided to create MANUFACTORED drama. In most seasons ( I only watch Bach/bette certain seasons) the first one out of the gate like Frank (Ali), Bentley (Ashley) gets eliminated for good. This time MF wants something different: Boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back at the end. That's how I see it-out of the left field when all hope is lost, the knight in shining armor(Brooks) re-appears and proposes. THE END.

I agree that MF uses some symbolisms to tell a story throughout the entire season to make the theme fit.
After watching the HTD, it cannot be anyone but Brooks.

  SOMETHING that offers a total clue!   I read everyone's theories/speculations and can see some merit in each of them, and it's driving me nuts. I applaud those that are pouring over SCs, PIs, VOs, noticing all sorts of little differences/discrepancies in them that let you know in all of these things, there is not a complete path to the truth, to the the ending.

I do still feel Brooks is the F1 and will be shocked if he isn't, and I think I can honestly say that based upon what has been shown between them thus far, and not because I know what the spoilers have said.

Veg, your post and this comment reminded me of the early preview that had Des saying something to the effect that she wants a man who will stick through the tough times and never give up. I think there was discussion when it aired that it could be foreshadowing that Des will reject a guy who leaves but then tries to come back.
