I didn't read the FD thread but to the bolded - no it won't. If the beach crying scene with Drew is LCD, then it will not be a normal one.

Folks are speculating that Brooks comes back before Drew's LCD (IDK myself) and that she let him go !

So therefore, different 2 guys at LCD, 1 full LCD 1 half and possible a 3rd half LCDs and 2 different guys at the FRC ? Is that what you are saying ?

It could be the article we read about FD & MTP being next week is correct, which could be why Nate Hartsock thinks RS is wrong (he only met Drew & Chris). I think whatever is shared with Des, and its her that tells Brooks to go, continues on with MTP, and then right at the end of next weeks episode he comes back to fight for her, cliffhanger until the following week. She decides to go on a LCD date with him (of course they'll hide those SC's), and then lets Drew go on his. I think she probably doesn't decide to let Drew go until part-way through their date.

Since Des would have already had a LCD with Brooks, why would Des go on the LCD with Drew??? All Des would have to do is go to Drew's room and let him go from there. To take him on the LCD would just be giving Drew "false" hope imo.

It may not be a choice whether Des wants to go on the LCD with Drew or not. It's how the show works. They do, however, seem to give the girls more latitude if it suits their needs. Ali was allowed to let Chris L go and Emily was allowed to let Arie go before the LCD.

What I don't get are people saying they are A-OK with her picking a default (and everyone knows she would be) yet it's not ok for her to let Brooks fight for her.

The word "default" seems to be thrown around a lot from season to season. Aside from Deanna, the bachelorettes have pretty much gone with their hearts. While Brooks looks like the obvious choice, I don't believe Des will pick Chris or Drew unless she is 100 percent sure.

Giving "false" hope is nothing new on this show, or even specifically with Des. She essentially took FOUR trips to guys homes last week when she already was sure that she was in love with just ONE of them!! Forget chastizing her now for giving one or two men false hope -- how about THREE FAMILIES being tricked into offering their homes, their lives and their deepest feelings??

You are correct that "defaults" have been infrequent, but typically the lead has found it easy to choose a man as her favorite who also wants to marry her. Most of the intended F1 men go along with the premise of the show and don't buck the system...therefore no other needs for a default victim.

Has anyone said Brooks doesn't have the right to fight for her? But his actions don't seem like those of a fighting man. Let's see, he delayed his arrival in Antigua so he could run home and cry on mommy's shoulder cuz he's not sure he's really in love. That right there should disqualify him. Then when he finally shows up in Antigua he does something that devestates Des. If she has any brains she will say "Hit the road, Jack, and don't you come back no more no more no more!"

I agree with you! The point is that Brooks is NOT fighting for Des! In fact, he is doing just the opposite in running as far away as he can. Now we know that he didn't go straight to Antigua, but had to talk with his mother one more time after the HTD. What is going on with this guy? Then it all falls apart when he does go to Antigua!

If this is fighting for someone, then that is the worst part of it.
