Bachelor Australia - Season 5 - Matty Johnson - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Did anyone see in the promo Simone and Leah were there - so the 2-on-1 can't be both of them?

Thanks for posting about Elise's dress. That is very interesting!! And what is even more curious to me is why the didn't show Elise winning the Spelling bee. (If they did I din't see it!). And if Elise won this then Matty would know she has some brains and is a bit of fun so WHY did he give her the last rose??? Very puzzling. Are the producers aiming for a 'Rags to Riches' story? I wish I knew.

Stringy talking about my girl Elise in that dress is a plus, boy if she is F1 after all this, I want Matty to explain why the heck in put her in the bottom 2 in the last episode

And my question is this... WHO is Elise????

I've been super busy and haven't been on the forum or sleuthed as much as I usually do  and if it wasn't for the little bits of info I have read on a few of the threads I would have her as a MOT.

When are they going to start showing her story? It's crazy!!! Something big has got to happen to turn her story arc from MOT to actual contender to win Matty's heart - otherwise the viewing public are just not going to buy into their relationship.

I loved the group date - would have liked to have seen more of that than the drama at the CP.

Also - I went back again and reviewed the confrontation between Cobie and Leah and Leah is a little liar. Cobie didn't put her hand up to Leah's face or say she didn't care. Was also super impressed with Laura and Tara for standing up to the "b!tch squad".

Thought Florence was very clever in getting Matty's attention. Do we have her in the F4?

@Katiebelle If I didn't know Elise was in the final 7 I would say for sure she would go home next episode.
And speaking of the women going home, I always enjoyed their post exit thoughts. Someone's obviously decided against this for some reason as unfathomable as Elise's edit.

@Katiebelle....yeah "hashtag whoels" is probably going to start trending when Elise bursts out of nowhere to the forefront We think she is going to score the Episode 7 SD and we know she got that elaborate hockey/yacht-tub date.

Regarding Florence, poster Sundy believes she got an HTD based on the SC we have where she is holding a flower. Also we do have many SCs attributed to Florence and most folks believe she goes far based on that.

The problem with bringing her story to the viewers so late in the season is that we already have recognised the contestants we can relate to - the ones we see that could be our friends in RL or who come from the same city or share the same passions etc.

It's just like when the intruders arrive - we have already established our weird over the TV viewer relationships with the other contestants - we might love them, we might hate them, but we have a connection to them. It's often hard to warm up to the intruders and I'm really concerned that I and possibly most viewers won't be able to see what a great girl Elise is - as I'm trusting you all with your sleuthing and opinions and you have all said that she seems like one very cool chick.

So for me it's going to have to be a Adam West KAPOW!, BIFF!,  BAM! and CRASH! for me to really sit up and take notice of her and her story with Matty.

This is an interesting POV...If tptb want to redeem this season of the bachelor (we don't want a favourite f2 again - Nikki or a stage 5 clinger edit for F1) so IMO they need to show the love story ....so what if plain and simply they are showing it to us with Laura. And since we don't have intruders this season they are making Elise the intruder edit f2 (like Lana was on Sams Season?) IDK so confused at the moment....maybe Elise does come out firing and it will be obvious when we finally see them together? Either way i just really like the speculated f4 for once

@LeapofFaith I'm wondering the same thing, there was so much backlash with Nikki not being F1 perhaps Elise is staying hidden so we don't get too attached to her as F2 JMO.

But....but....there are other girls that the public is not gravitating as much to and would make sense for them to understand why they are in F2 without being hidden ahem Cobie, Elora, Flo....jmo though.

Why hide someone just to take them to F2 and dump them and also Matty happpily advertising the hidden edit in media rounds, does not compute for me...but ess okay

I think what you've said is a possibility. My thought is in no series of the Bachelor or Bachelorette has there ever been no guessing or suspense about the winner. If the producers want to show an uncomplicated, straightforward love story then the bachelor has never been the place to do it. The producers want viewers and ratings to the final episode. Viewers always have different favourites so to give them just one obvious winner is unusual. Some viewers who thought Laura had won (based on photos of them both supposedly together at the snow) said they're not watching the show anymore as they knew the winner.
