Nick Viall & Vanessa Grimaldi - Bachelor 21 - Discussion

I'm not a Nick hater, but him saying he doesn't want to be famous made me laugh out loud. I mean...come one. I also loved Vanessa's laughing 'he's your friend?' about Chris Soules.

@allykat I really like this interview. They both seem natural and supportive of one another. I love how he told her what to expect from SM and she laughed at him and thought she would be fine and then indicates that it started getting to her and how helpful he has been to navigate through all the negativity and hate. They didn't say the negativity and hate, but clearly if people were nice it would be no issue. The fact that the stupid squad continues with their antics just means it will take a while. Living well is the best revenge so I wish these two all the best and let their happiness shine bright.

Yes, I picked up on it too. Sloppy seconds...I was also curious why they hadn't spent much time on him deciding between rings or zooming in on the ring in the proposal. Now we know why...

The more I read & watch their video interviews, the more I realize that these two are very serious about their relationship, and truly want to be a team and make it work IMO.

IMO, the biggest hurdle for them was to be far away from each other, and only able to see each other every 2-3 weeks WHILE the show was being aired. Nick said so himself on one of the interviews. IMO for Vanessa, the hardest thing was to watch the show basically without his support in person, although he was "coaching" her as they said. It was bearable to a point, but as Nick said "She had her moments".

This IMO is perfectly understandable given the unusual circumstances of their engagement and love story. Whoever F1 said in the past that it was easy and not a problem, was not being truthful IMHO
But now that is basically the past, they appear to have dealt with it, and are eager to look into the future as partners who are working together for a real, healthy and happy relationship.

I find Vanessa not only gorgeous on the outside, but highly intelligent, independent, having so much self-worth, kind, crazy and fun (in a good way), great communicator, sensible and emotional (thus the emotions and tears during the show - NOTHING to indicate wanting "attention" IMO), a little insecure (in a natural and healthy way, as most women are IMO), and very loving.
I find Nick to have the same attributes, in different doses, a little less outgoing than V (great balance), great communicator, loves dialogue and challenge, family oriented (just as V is). In my opinion, this is one of the very few couples out of this show that have such a good balance and realness to them.
Note: IMHO CH and Elan saying she was this "crazy" girl, was never said in a negative light, the complete opposite! We all need a little "crazy" in our lives, or we would be bored to death, honestly... And CH just confirmed that Vanessa was just about the only contestant on the show to have such hard & real questions. I don't know about you people, but to me in ALL HONESTY, this is a compliment, IMHO

The ATFR was not such a bad thing IMO, I felt that N & V both just wanted out of there and be done with it... And yes, although DWTS was "given" to Nick, I sensed that he was not that thrilled about the edit given to them IMHO, Thus him saying goodbye very explicitly to BN on his post! I might add, that ABC and DWTS had been thinking about having Nick on the show since K's season ended, (as per one of their producers - woman, as I read in an article long ago) ) so it was something I expected sooner or later.

I am rooting for them, geez If it were not for V on the show, I have no doubt that Nick would've ended up alone by choice IMO - bunch of immature girls, to say the least.

And as for Rachel, she is so dull and has no pizzazz to her whatsoever IMO, good luck to her on her show. I never saw a connection with Nick aside from a distant friendship, I think that he was there to do TPTB a favor by making her noticed for the "historic" role as the Bachelorette she was going to get IMO

As for Raven, she seemed sweet but lacked a certain maturity and life experience in general IMO - Now that I see her with that horrid group of girls on all those IG stories and videos, I hope she "snaps out of it" (A-La Cher) and realizes she is better off without their ridiculous and disrespectful antics. Well, after she does BIP, that is, haha!

I can't wait for next Monday to see Nick shake what his momma gave him!!

I don't think a nearly 4 carat Neil Lane diamond ring can be considered "sloppy" in any situation. I'm sure they reuse rings every season. How many rings of that caliber do we think Neil Lane has set aside to give away?

I highly doubt Vanessa got sloppy-seconds of anything. JMO

They probably don't even care about landing on the front page or not. The real prize is each other. jmo

I don't think the ring is ugly. The ring Ben H gave to Lauren still takes the cake for ugliest ring, IMO.
Doesn't matter who picked it before, what matters imo, is that's its on the right person's finger. Robby is old news.
