Why are they only on the sidebar? Don't The Bachelor couples always get a full page? What story was so important that it had to take up the cover?

It's not the worst ring I've seen on this show, but not something I'd want on my finger either. I hope Vanessa likes it though.

IMO the couple probably does not care. If they are happy, everything is good and vice versa.  
I think a Prince article took front heading. From what I read, it's pretty horrific. I don't know what the motive was by her sharing this. It's very sad.

I get a ring not being everyone taste. But a ring that cost more than what most makes in a year will never be 'sloppy second'' IMO. That would mean rings that people get engaged by their family members are ''sloppy second'' .

If she got that ring from Robby that would be sloppy seconds but she got it from Nick. He never proposed to anyone with that ring so i don't understand how is that sloppy seconds.

I sort of like her ring. I haven't watched the show yet, but did see her say on Kimmel, I think, that "Nick did good" when talking about the ring he picked. She seemed very happy about it.

I don't know why after all these years, but whether I like them or not, I'm always hoping and thinking that these couples will make it. I think the same for N&V. I think their biggest issue is going to be who is going to move to be with the other. I really don't see DWTS as an issue for them, they both seem excited about it. Nick would have already been spending hours a day practicing, and she didn't complain or seem to mind at all. She even said she liked Peta. I don't see jealousy as an issue either. I think I read that Catherine Lowe was maybe a little jealous of Peta or maybe the time spent, but that was a different time. Peta didn't just have a baby and was single, I believe, or at least not engaged to be married. It seems Vanessa has a good attitude toward the whole thing. It's temporary, and quick money for the short amount of time spent.

I hope this couple makes it. Being older hopefully means being a little more mature and not sweating the small stuff. All JMO.

Was it one of the rings from last year? I don't think it's the ugliest either.

It's what the show/Neil Lane does. I think Molly Mesnick got Andi's engagement ring for her anniversary gift! In reality, getting a free, 90k engagement ring is awesome, so I doubt any of these contestants would complain about it. 

I will say Lauren's still takes the cake for the ugliest in the recent ones IMO. I think Vanessa's is pretty and I thought the same thing when Robby picked it out. I personally just like simple rings better, like JoJo's or even Catherine's. 

I wonder why People didn't give them the full cover like they always do? Does anyone know who is on it instead?

I think usually they do. Des and Chris didn't get a cover either. I believe the royal baby was born around that week.

I like Vanessa ring well enough, though it's not my preferred ring. It looks huge on her hand though, just like Lauren's..they must have really tiny fingers! I wish guys took that into consideration a bit more.. the size of a woman's finger in relation to the ring. But I guess it doesn't really matter as long as you're getting proposed to

Rings with jewelers are recycled all the time--not so much the ring setting as that is melted down and re-styled, but the stone. If the stone is of good quality it can be used in various rings, necklaces etc. If it's not it can be cut for earrings, bracelets, cocktail rings etc.
And then there are is the issue of sentimentality and restyling to keep great grandma's engagement set that might not be worth much $ but worth a lot in
Neil Lane sells rings. Most of his rings are duplicates. If you go to Kay jewelers or Jared or wherever else he sells his lesser rings you are not getting a custom designed style. Even on his more elite brands, the site shows the styles he has to offer.
I would imagine, if you walk in off the street, you pick out your style and then look at different stones--the C's to get what you want. I guess you could also pick off the to go menu and buy as is.
Then if you want you can also do a custom design at many places.
What costs so much for his TB rings are the quality of the stones in those rings. You can get the same ring design for a lot less depending on the quality of the stone.
Probably one of the most popular rings is the round brilliant solitaire. Talk about "sloppy seconds" there.
JMO but if you love the guy, that's about all that really matters. The ring is way down the list. IMO
