Nick Viall & Vanessa Grimaldi - Bachelor 21 - Discussion

All of the following is purely my opinion only:

I think Nick wanted a woman who will call him on his chit.
I think Vanessa is the kind of woman that will call him on his chit.
I think Nick sees the process of a woman pushing back and speaking up to be a good thing.
I think that Vanessa sees the fact that she is capable of calling him on his chit to be a good thing.
However...
If there is too much chit to call Nick out for, Vanessa will grow to resent this. If Vanessa is constantly calling out his chit, Nick will grow to resent her. (I get the sense that Vanessa is NOT the type of person who wants her chit called out. )

IMO, You shouldn't need someone else to be your "safety valve" in life. A partnership should be 2 people walking side by side, with the occasional nudge or (in really tough times) a carry. If a relationship is constantly a push and pull, it will be exhausting. Hoping that they both can get their chit together enough to make a good go of it.

I don't think anything is off with Nick. I don't know why everyone wants to see this vibrant, colorful, SUPER DUPER excited Nick Viall. Nick has never been that way, IMO. He's very chill to me. If he was anything other than that with V, I would think they were faking it. In fact, they were truly being themselves, IMHO.

Cila to me he seemed more vibrant and happy around his exes on that one Jimmy appearance. But that's just me.

I agree. I'd be concerned if he started speaking enthusiastically or delivering TB canned lines. He seemed happier and more comfortable in last night's show (Kimmel) than he did at the start of the season with Andi and Kaitlyn.

Yes. They even showed a clip of it earlier in the show and that's when the chalkboard made its first appearance.

I agree. I remember last year when he was on AfterBuzz a lot, people kept saying how he's such a downer and looks miserable every time. That's just how he is IMO. He's not very animated and often seems like he's actively trying to keep a poker face. I have never seen him act OTT anywhere ever, so I'd be suspicious if he suddenly did. He's been smiling through all his interviews today and on Kimmel, often staring at Vanessa with a goofy smile on his face, so I don't really see what's so off. JMO.

^^^Thank you Nick and Vanessa. They are both very optimistic and seem perfectly normal to me...for them. They are exactly as they were on the show. They seem pretty realistic and I'm liking their dynamic.

After watching and processing the show and interviews imo Nissa were not happy with now ravens fs was portrayed. If I remember correctly N was announced as contestant at on dwts just before. At this time Nissas sm changed. Only photo of V and both went very quiet. N had public talk with J and overheard no sex with R. I think Ns mother liked a nissa photo. I also feel it was strange that Ns parents did a video to the couple on gma and not on after. Imo after was not pro nissa.

One of my friends and I watched the finale (west coast time) and during a commercial checked our respective boards to see what the shocker was during ATFR.  As sometimes happens for me, what I read online did not jibe with (IMO) what I was watching during ATFR.  
I think Nick and Vanessa are a refreshing take on the whole experience.  V does not seem familiar with the Bachelor Nation culture/norms etc.  This may work to her benefit.  She realistically acknowledges that they have a public/televised courtship and that people will have their opinions.  She also does not seem to "suffer fools gladly".  They both are smart people who IMO are very in touch with their feelings and are not afraid to discuss/disagree.
Whether the public spotlight hurts them remains to be seen.  However, what I saw last night was two people in love who realize as Mr. Viall said "love alone is not enough".  They are still getting to know each other and are realistic about the process.  I for one am enjoying seeing the real deal.  I was rooting for V in the grilling Chris H gave her trying to tease out some chinks in the relationship.  I think Nick has found his match and while no one is perfect, they may just be perfect for each other.
