i think Steven Holness has impressive credentials. He also appears to be single. Safe to assume he has had a few relationships. Since he is single that means they all failed. Does that make him a failure? No. Does that make him a better love interest for Vanessa who chose to be engaged to Nick? Not by my logic.

IMO, congrats to the happy couple. Life can be lonely. Glad they now have each other Smiley

Both Nick and Vanessa have had previous relationships, that haven't worked out, clearly. As of now, both seem very happy with each other, based on their own words, fan encounters, sm postings by various people. According to Nick, 'of course there will be wedding', Vanessa is the full package for him. As for Vanessa, with Nick, there's that thing that was missing from previous relationships.

Vanessa hasn't spoken about her exes at all, we don't actually know who she has dated, and when. So imo it's really unfair to draw comparisons between Nick and some guy she may or may not have dated in the past, based on that maybe ex's resume. JMO.

I don't think the whole thing is focused on whether the guy is amazing or has the best personalities...they may have the same goal in terms of humanitarian works, but not with family goals...maybe the guy doesn't even have any plan to get married and have kids...maybe he wants to travel around...and, not settle in one place...if that's the case...then both Vanessa and the guy are going into different directions in terms of goals and dreams...having said that these wouldn't mean that Nick or Vanessa is inferior in terms of achievements in comparison to him since they are all pursuing different goals...Nick maybe liking the fame in Hollywood, but he has never forgotten where he has started...I think Nick is grounded enough all by himself, but he will stay grounded all the more with Vanessa's presence...I believe Nick will be inspired to get involved with more philanthropic works...

Regardless, I think the major factor is the spiritual attraction Vanessa has with Nick and vice versa--in addition to the physical and emotional connections they have for each other--all of these have actually brought them together...as they have personally described it themselves...its the sparks...its the magic--those magical moments they have spent together are what they have treasured the most...sparks may disappear, but the unconditional love they have for each other thrives in their heart to make their relationships (as best friends and lovers) last forever...

As long as a couple are on the same page and wavelength and are a team and champions of each other and their endeavors throughout life that's what matters most, IMO.... and from following Nick since day one and Vanessa now too, that's exactly what I have seen with both of them and their relationship and are a team as they have said. That they already have that foundation of being a team puts them miles ahead of most couples IMO. Most significant to me is that how Nick and V are at the beginning of their relationship is incredible to me considering that even married couples years down the track don't have that type of relationship or foundation and some never have it. It's really rare what Nick and Vanessa have IMO.

As far as 'warning signs'......i don't think there are any that are that dramatic. But after they do break up they will become crystal clear.
As far as reasons, its just things like have been mentioned in this thread and in that interview and others. The things they are doing now they are obligated to do. Make it look good, be in love, especially with Nick. Can you imagine the backlash and bad press he will get if they breakup too soon? I understand the above is your opinion, but please do not include me in your opinion (bolded). I don't pretend or claim to see or know if a couple is happy or not. I just enjoy what I see and will not try to impose what I think or believe in others relationships, lives, or reality. I do believe that one gets out from a relationship what they put in it, and it takes effort. Lots! I gave everyone from the show the same benefit of the doubt when they started and simply ignore those that I didn't care much about.

There have been also fans who were absolutely sure that the current couples still together, were going to break up ages ago. On many different forums. None of us know, we're basing our opinions on our personal experiences etc. We don't know these people, and what makes them tick.

IMO it's funny to say, that fans of a couple refuse to see clear signs of trouble within a couple, signs others see clearly, because in reality none of us know. Some fans say Nick looks bored, over it, while others say, that's how he always is. Again, we don't know, we're all just guessing. JMO.

I agree - i was the same way with Chris/Whitney. And many others. I look back now and there were so many signs it was unbelievable. laugh out loud

You're right, we are just guessing. They could some be realllllllly fake beyond belief and know how to play the media game, or some could be genuine. But the reality is they were all on a reality show. To me, IMO - its the way of the game. Some play and some don't. IMHO

I can think of at least 2/3 couples currently MARRIED that I was sure were DOA. Likewise, I can think of like at least 1 or 2 that I was sure were sure things that are now dunzo.

We just don't know.

Vanessa and Nick, to me, seem devoted to trying. They have insane chemistry to me. Seem incredibly well matched in many ways. And they also seem realistic about their real world hurdles and circumstance - and I think that will actually play in their favor. I don't know. I give them as good of odds as any. I'm just waiting for Nick to get the boot so we can get a better read. For now they are still in fantasy land, but I have liked what I've seen so far in LaLa land. I think Nick is prioritizing and including V about as much as he possibly can, and likewise V is being incredibly supportive.

I definitely believe they love each other. And no way was Vanessa, the girl who wasn't even familiar with this American show gunning for the Ette. She was gunning for Nick, period. If she had problems with Rachel and the other girls, it was because these chicks were dating a man she was falling in love with and maybe she didn't handle that very well.

CMIIW I don't think I've ever seen anyone post on here, that "they won't break up".

As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever read that for any couple, even the successful ones, from the hardest of fans.

IMO we enjoy discussing what we see at the present moment in time and don't deny the fact that anyone can break up at anytime, just like any other couple in the world.

@GuardianAngel I agree. There is always potential for the pendulum to swing either way for any couple at anytime.
At this point, things look good, imo. I have a lot of difficulty seeing Vanessa faking it. LOL
