I will say though that though N&V are very realistic in terms of taking their time re wedding etc., I think having a wedding sooner rather than later may be better for them in terms of V having residency, IMO. How long generally does it take to get citizenship to the US through the "proper channels"? Depending on if that process drags its feet and N&V have to be separated for half of the year, IMO a wedding in a year or so may be very attractive for them , JMO.

I don't see why they would not be liked by TPTB. They gave him 4 chances, I think they must care for him in someway. I think it's the other way around, they are done with the show, they got what they wanted, and they are moving forward.

She doesn't have to be apart from him for 6 months. She has a total of 6 months she can freely visit the US. I just listened to a podcast where Vanessa says she will be in Montreal in May. She can go back and forth as she pleases as a visitor as long as it's not more than a total of 6 months in a calendar year. That means counting the days shes' out of the USA to keep track of the actual days she is in the USA. I don't think they will get married in the next two years. I think they will be mature and responsible about it just like that have with their relationship so far. They both have said several times, they are concentrating on their relationship and getting to know each other. Plus I don't think getting married should be a reason to get the necessary papers to freely remain in the US. She can apply for a work permit, however long that will take, (who knows at this point) and in the meantime go back and forth for a total of 6 months as long as she wants. There's no rush IMHO.

I think it was because they wanted to ship their wedding elsewhere, but then realised they couldn't. They could have gotten married ... off tv ... anytime, just that whiny, self entitled brat Kaitlyn wanted it to be on tv.

Nick and Vanessa, probably wouldn't mind having a televised wedding, but I suspect, if they couldn't include all their family and friends, that would be a deal breaker and they would just as happily go the Des route and do their own wedding privately. Nick is savvy enough and probably has enough contacts by now that they could get most of it comped for free.

I have difficulty seeing Kaitlyn do anything without trying to get paid, attention etc for it. This is not a low key person. This is a look at me and tell me how wonderful I am person. JMOAA

Not to get off topic, but wouldn't Kaitlyn's contract up soon anyway? This May/summer marks 2 years since her engagement. I'm not saying I want her to have a TV wedding but I think she's running out of time to do so. Does anyone know how  the 2 year thing actually works?

To be quite honest, I think production is done with the big weddings, as in separate specials. I could be wrong...but I doubt it.

I think they are done with it, unless it serves their purposes otherwise and there is that ideal spot in tv scheduling that would benefit. It would have to benefit them in someway.

If TPTB are done with it, then that clause stating they reserve the rights to the couple's wedding should be removed, IMO.

If they are willing to air crap like the twins' show, I'm sure they could throw a wedding on Freeform as well. The quality is another matter obviously. Seems like they did offer a wedding for Ben and Lauren, so they can't be completely done.

As for Kaitlyn, I doubt she even knows the details of what she signed. It's not like she's a legal (or any other kind of) expert. She probably does think she's not allowed to get married. JMO.

Vanessa getting flack for the Celine bag is so lame IMO. If you buy a $4000 item for $2000 or whatever that is a bargain for that item.  Bargains IMO are anything gotten at a good discount.

I think a televised wedding should only be while the kettle is still hot with these couples.

At 29 and 36 with IMO age appropriate maturity levels I could see N&V deciding to marry sooner than is typical for most of the engaged couples coming off the show. Nick's parents married in less than a year after meeting so I could see that timeline as being possible. If they waited 2 years, knowing that both want to parent, Nick would be 38+ which is fine however it's not possible to get pregnant at will so as soon as they know what they need to about marriage compatability I think they will begin to plan their event. Nick and Vanessa are one of the oldest engaged couples to come from the franchise which I think makes them different than the couples in their 20s.  JP and Ashley would be more comparable age wise IMO although I'm not sure how old JP was -younger than Nick? Ashley, I know, was younger than V. I also don't recall how long JP & Ashley waited to marry.

I don't see Vanessa needing a visa as a factor for them in terms of deciding when to marry.  I don't see an unplanned pregnancy as a factor in terms of when to marry either. IMO they are just heading down the aisle at some point unless something catastrophic occurs.

As to a televised wedding  Was the Janner wedding a 100 guest event? Can't see that kind of restriction working for N&V.

I'm pretty sure Ashley and JP waited like almost 2 years before they got married. If I'm remembering things correctly, they got engaged in May 2011 and were married in December 2012. I think JP was like 34-35 when they got married because he's 40 now. Not sure about how old Ashley was. I don't think N/V are in a rush though. I think they want to figure out how they work in the real world before they make that kind of commitment.

I hope Evan and Carly think about the "over the top, exquisite fairytale wedding offered/given to to Lacy and Marcus"--NOT. And then Evan pinches Carly, in case she forgets how she missed her brothers wedding due to another previous season of BIP and then together they both say in unison--No, thank you very much.
