I tend to think Vanessa has more common sense than most women on this show (combined) have ever had. No need to worry about her, IMO she is doing perfectly fine & feeling very happy

Surprisingly, JoJo's got one, although it's 3.5, not 4 carats. I didn't even know he made rings with a solitaire  although I really don't mind Vanessa's. I've seen worse for sure from this show. JMO

I think Vanessa has one of the nicer Neil Lane messes! I think her ring is very elegant and pretty. I like JoJo's too. Also Des' ring. Everyone else - pass.

LOL this made me think that neil puts his rings that aren't popular but need to be gotten rid of in his bachleor pile Jojo's is the online one I remember and it stood out and was very classy and elegant imo Lauren and Vanessa's seem very 'loud' and exaggerated imho

Watching Nick with Peta and Vanessa - it's SOO strange to see him with a woman he's in a relationship with!!! Gosh! He's been the perpetual lovelorn...for the sake of 'everyone finds their person' I really hope it works out for him esp since it takes him a LOT to get to this point...as much as I'm not a fan of Vanessa (I'd prolly not want to be around her if we existed in the same spaces..) I definitely hope for the best for her

Right now Nick and Vanessa are together and happy and that's all that matters. Taking it one day at a time and enjoying this adventure together. Imo

I finally caught up with the finale and ATFR. I think Vanessa and Nick are being very realistic and I think this open communication style bodes well for their relationship.

I do have to say that I think the ring is hideous though! JMO.

I guess everyone that had a relationship end must now be considered ''sloppy''. **edit** Knowing how disrespectful some of these men can be towards women. IMO It is truly and I mean truly disgusting to see someone in that kind of a way when we are talking about a show that has a lead dump 20 or so people. **edit** I can come back and say Nick beat 23 men to make F2, I guess Kait and Andi saw something in him then that they didn't see in 23 men .

@stacynor, good viewpoint. I was shaking in my boots thinking of myself as sloppy seconds, or thirds, or...well, that's really no one's business, but the point is that women now and forever in the past have been one another's worst critics. I guess it is that innate competition we have always endured hoping to 'catch' a man. Will we ever let it go and view ourselves as powerful and in control of our options, and therefore lessen the need to compete with one another?

Sloppy seconds cause he had a strong connection with two different leads in back-to-back seasons? Ummmmm.... ok. If anything, I think thats kind of impressive. There must be something about him that both these women were drawn to. Not many people could pull off second place twice.

People has a photo thing of Bach rings throughout the years. IMO, Vanessa's is among the ugliest and gaudiest. Just not my style.

Oddly enough, my fav rings are from the seasons I didn't even watch...I live Vienna's ring and Tessa's ring.

It's all a matter of taste. I like some, I don't like others. The reality is I'm not wearing any of them.

Sloppy seconds ring and fiancee.  Vanessa must like to shop at the second hand store but I'm not going to judge because there are treasures to be found even at the flea market - and all the more precious because it is usually unexpected.  I'm glad they found each other - they are just like each other because I think Vanessa is also a sloppy second as she was in a relationship prior to TB, hence she is also someone's leftover.  As @stacynor said most who have been in relationships that didn't work out will be qualified as someone's sloppy second. If this is what we're using as a measuring stick, WTH, I am one!
