This weekend wd be a perfect time plus it IS Valentines Day on Tuesday.

On Vanessa's recent U2 student vid a fan asked V what her college background was. She replied she has 2 degrees, the 1st in public affairs and the 2nd in education.
I wasn't certain what a public affairs degree was about so I googled a Montreal college

@notarose Thanks for the info. That's great, good for her. Being in a the middle of government cities, both in Montreal QC and Ottawa Ontario, those are great creditials to have.

She got her teaching degree in June 2015, so I had always wondered if she had gone back to school or if it was her first time. Interesting to know! I wonder what her job was before teaching.

So I didn't imagine that. I knew I remembered someone posting about her having a degree in Public Affairs and Education when we finally got a confirmation on who she was.

I'm not sure what the requirements are back East, but in BC a BEd is a one-year program after you've finished your Bachelor's degree. It's a full-fledged degree but thankfully it doesn't take four more years to earn it!

I think she got her BEd from the University of Ottawa (based on SM sleuthing). She graduated in 2015.

Definitely it varies per region.  BC may be the same as Quebec.
I worked in Sped related services for awhile and know some regions require specific requirements in addition to a standard teacher degree to work in special needs.  Also, V answered a teaching question on a different pic saying she started out teaching primary.  Primary can require longer than a degree for secondary because a first degree in math (as an example) easily transfers for a BEd with a math major applicable to a high school or middle years school but not so much for a primary teacher.
Anyway, she has 2 degrees

Well done Vanessa! U of Ottawa has a very reputable teacher's college, with an excellent French language stream.
Nick picked quite an accomplished woman.

Nick has liked various posts from most of the women throughout the season so he's done well to cover his tracks so that when he does like something from his spoiled F1, it can't really be considered conclusive since he is liking all the other girls stuff as well. IMO his 1/1 instagram reflections have been more blunt with his 1/1 pic with V being the ONLY pic so far showing them kissing while the others are mostly side by side pics.

Vanessa and her career dedication is so awesome to see! I hope she and Nick get to have a SHV around Valentine's Day if they aren't already somewhere right now. After orange couch gate two weeks ago I am doubtful if they will try to give out too many hints.

I'm getting so excited for the next episode. I think we Vanessa &Nick fans are in for a treat (finally!!) It is also prefect timing coming the night before Valentines Day (Yess )
Just parking my thoughts here- this has been a pivotal week:
Thankyou ABC for airing that hideously structured (IMO) episode the week before to get it out the way.

The way I see it is- it is actually a good thing Nick broke down and reached his crisis point and expressed his deepest fear to the whole group.  Saying goodbye to so many women inc Danielle will have enacted the fear that this will keep repeating- that even though he is the bachelor there is no guarantee of it ending in finding the one.  IMO that has got it off his chest, got that damn monkey off his back (that he is doomed to fail) for good and it must feel lighter for him to do so.  Having done that I think he will be ready to start anew and see the remaining world (which did not end) and remaining girls (who did not leave) for the positives that it offers.  A new start. I feel like though he was claiming his heart was open up to this point- he was actually still hauling that monkey around and all the pressure to find the one. I think when he cried at the Vanessa date- was the start of admitting and opening up that pain from the past which anyone would have. The relief to see some light in a future with her imo also brought the tears.   But then their time was broken up and Nick diverted into many different directions with other girls, and trying to cater to all and make other connections too. So the natural healing you get when getting to know a new person and open up, was delayed and Vanessa became more confused perhaps too, as a result of all the group dates & all the usual pressures on TB.

So when it got to saying goodbye to Danielle- who he was initially hopeful about- that became the cracking point for all the real pain to come out (IMO).  Once that is expressed he can heal from it and move on.  So I feel this is a new start for him, after the two years I felt like after he walked back out of that hotel room he is finally able to open his heart again. He deep down knows he is risking Vanesssa and Rachel leaving after what he says, and deep down I think that is a challenge to see if they will stay or go.  Perhaps only that will prove to him that they are there for the long haul and will not reject him in the end.   Actions do speak louder than words.

Back to Vanessa- I like to think she did go after him as she very quickly gets up to go somewhere. If she did then I expect THAT was an amazing and RAW conversation and I would also imo expect her to reassure him that she would be staying around.  I doubt we will see her going after him in the edit, but will instead see Corinne...  If she didn't go after him then she likely was given plenty to think over and process and hopefully being very intelligent and (dare I say it) highly emotionally intelligent- would have realised Nick was expressing his pain rather than saying he didn't see a future with anyone.
Cut to their 2nd Date. The slate is blank. Neither V or N knows what will happen next. She has all day to connect with him and for them to fully discuss his hotel convo words and then the rest of the day to make out- wearing that red hot bikini. It is a win win for Vanessa, she has the floor and she is first in the queue to re-ignite his hope and heal his heart with her smile, wisdom and smoking hot beauty.
While not getting enough footage of Vanessa yet- here is what I see:
1) They had their first kiss in space- that's right- floating in space!
2) Nick posts the amazing kiss in space shot on his IG
3) Nick cries on their first date, she wipes away his tears
4) Vanessa calls him out for his BS over the bounce house
5) Nick has been bleating on about a confident women who calls him on his BS for years
6) Nick picks up V like a lot, like every time he can, like 95% more picking her up to get her closer to him than on any other date
7) Vanessa cries after Volleyball, Nick allows the whole 6 of them to come to the cocktail party
8) They look like the hottest couple in Bachelor history.
9) There was an orange couch in both their lives.
10) Nick's face on night 1 when he looks at her, sitting on couch.
11) Nick's face when he is reading her book gift, relaxed and content.
12) The forehead lean, the relief, the one.
