Vanessa Grimaldi - Bachelor 21 - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #3

If the fight story is true, maybe Vanessa was hurt by the exchange of words and decided to stay away, or maybe Nick wanted more time with her.

Just heard the news!! Congrats @TheRachLindsay on becoming the next Bachelorette. Wish you nothing but the best!

Question: was after last night's episode the 1st time Vanessa had posted a picture of her together with Nick? If it was, I don't think Vanessa would post a picture of them together so close to the end of the show if she didn't have fond memories of their time together. I still think she's F1 and that they're still together. Remember last week in one of the interviews, people caught him saying "I was single before I was the Bachelor". I don't think he would say that if it wasn't the case.

^^We've been speculating about the big fight that RS mentioned re: Rachel and Vanessa, which may have been swept under the rug by now. It is not a good look for either of them to be fighting I guess. I think there is truth to the fight (probably why we didn't see Vanessa at all - since apparently the women sided with Rachel). Note that in one of the preseason interviews Jared (one of Nick's Bach Nation friends) alluded to women with strong personalities clashing on the show. However, with Rachel as next Bette and Vanessa as F1, I think it will be a happier ending if that is not shown - so I'm sure they were scrambling to fix the edits after Rachel agreed to be the next Bachelorette.

We also didn't see several scenes shown in preview where Vanessa and DanielleM were seen crying in a closet - and Vanessa saying "these decisions he makes..." I feel that we may still see the latter next week's epi.

I believe though that if the other contestants saw the strong connection (V&N - Cheese Pasta has said so) then there was a natural target on V's back. So in addition to V having high confidence -because of reassurances (plural) - she wasn't making friends or others weren't making friends with her.

These are grown women except Corrine. Vanessa has even congratulated Rachel for the ette gig. I could careless about their fight at this point or if Rachel follows her or not. Vanessa has Nick at the end of the day (hopefully) and Rachel is about to embark on her own journey to find love. The only people stirring the pot are attention seekers like Corrine who want their 15 minutes of fame to keep going. jmo

I can't believe there can be any doubt at this point. Maybe I'm in denial somehow (am I?) but I can't help viewing all the cuts to showing V as a signifier of them avoiding showing spoilers- or because what Nick (pushing the limits) chose to talk in truthful terms to her about how the whole process was going, but did not talk like that to any of the others- this would make it hard for TPTB to air a whole convo. I suspect he repeatedly told her to be patient- while he did not say that to any of the others. JMHO.
The fact she posted a photo of them both on Valentines Day , the day after Rachel is announced, the fact she follows Rachel yet Rachel doesn't follow her on IG. That is actions of an F1 ready to get on with her life. I don't think a heartbroken F2 would have the interest, energy or balls to post that.

^^^yep, it's definitely a win all around. I have long thought Rachel and Vanessa would walk away with top prizes, f1 and Bachelorette.

The more coveted gig is up for discussion.

@Catdwoman50 IA! Vanessa and Nick hit it off the moment she stepped out of the limo. Vanessa has a strong personality, after all she is French Canadian and Italian. The girl can't help it. I happen to love her zest. We haven't been privy to Nick ogling over her the entire journey because honestly, there would be no storyline, IMO.

It's exactly why I choose to be neutral. Two sides to every story. As much as all the other girls sided with one person the other person is also the one they probably thought had the strongest connection with Nick. Corrine saying that sealed the deal for me. There was some jealousy going around and no one was a SAINT in that house. jmo

Is not a good look on Vanessa that everyone is consoling Kristina when she is getting dumped and she is not where to be found even Corrine was there

@ukglasgowkiiss I'm a little shocked there are questions about whether they are still happy together, too. But then again I'm not and that has nothing to do with N or V.

It's not a good look but I'm going to cut her some slack. She likely got into a fight and right or wrong, things were tense and awkward that day. Add the awkward I love you on her date and she probably felt like crap. Any other day I think she would've been there.
