@lleyki it was Jordan and Robby. I don't subscribe to that thought process, but Nick does, which is why I don't think he minds. I think it only helps Vanessa that she and nick are compatible in the way they think about love. JMO.

Thanks for the clarification. And considering I've read elsewhere on the board that Robby and company have whined about not hearing from Jordan after the season ended, guess that friendship didn't last too long.

I know some disagreed with Nick's thought process but I saw his point and I think some misunderstood him. Despite saying he didn't expect the guys to be enemies necessarily, I think many did read his comments that way and thought it was immature that he was suggesting two people getting along must mean their feelings for the lead are not real.

But I felt like what he was really saying is that it was odd that the guys were still happily "best friends" with no awkwardness or even emotional reactions at that late stage, even while saying they were both in love with JoJo. And I can see that sentiment regarding Vanessa.

The reason I haven't found anything objectionable about Vanessa is because I haven't seen her reactions and feelings as directed negatively to the other women. Yes, I know there was the whole Danielle L. rumor but I'm sorry I cannot judge something I never saw for myself. All I have to go on is what's been on the show.

And on the show, her reactions have been more about her feelings and her relationship with Nick. The being shocked about not getting the FIR comment, I had no issues with it because she didn't compare herself to anyone else, as in, "I cannot imagine he shared a connection like ours with anyone else".  She simply said she thought they had a strong connection and was shocked she didn't get the rose. At no point does she negatively compare others to herself.

In her confrontation with Nick she made it clear to him that her issues were with him and solely him. Yes we had voice overs of her talking about Corinne and looking exasperated with all the Corinne conversation/drama but her emotions were really about feeling disappointed in Nick and not being sure if he was honest about what he said he was looking for.

And in the volleyball clip, again her frustrations seem to solely be regarding losing time with Nick and feeling like she's not getting a chance for their relationship to really progress. Again I see no comments about the other women. And so that's what I think Nick was referring to and why I don't judge Vanessa too harshly. Because she is there for Nick and whenever she has been upset or felt frustrated, it's in regard to her relationship with him and feelings towards him. And that relationship with him is why she's supposedly on the show. JMO and I understand why some view things differently.

The fact that Nick's top 4 are women that were not really friends with Vanessa only made her experience harder and more real, IMO. Kind of like she only has Nick at that point to really trust and confide in. I know at that point the women are always apart but I'm just curious to see how the rose ceremony was like for the Top4 and Top3.

^^ ITA! I do think there was more to her breakdown after the volleyball date. She does explicitly mention being tired of the gossiping. Since the girls don't have to live together after F4, I am glad she had Danielle M till that point for emotional support. All JMO.

I think overall this *is* a more cliquish/catty group of women, especially compared to the girls on Ben's season last year who were all relatively koombaya. Even more interesting, because I think last years crop spanned younger and less accomplished than Nick's group overall. Just an interesting observation.

I don't know...it's hard to beat the girls' reaction to Jubilee (soccer moms comment is icky as hell) and the twins straight up making fun of Olivia's looks. No one has done that this season. We don't really know what happened off-camera with Vanessa for the girls to not be BFFs with her. If you believe RS, the girls all stood up for Danielle L, against Vanessa and Taylor even though she wasn't really part of the "clique". Astrid, IMO, alluded to it on the podcast saying she had a disagreement with Taylor. Kristina hung out with Vanessa's clique, even though she's part of the other group. I don't think it's even close to how awful some of Ben's girls were, IMO, but they got away with it because they went after the so called villains, not the F1. IMO.

I think they seem a little clique-ish, but not overly so.  I do think it's interesting that the two women that Nick appears to have the strongest connection to (Rachel and Vanessa) ended up not liking each other.  But I do think that makes somewhat sense -- like, why would you be BFF with the person the guy you also likes?  I don't think it's going to get the Clare/Nikki-levels, but I can see why there would be tension (Lauren/JoJo were pretty far from BFFs on Ben's season).  Just makes the connections seem a little more real.

Like, with the volleyball game, if you're on the winning team (like Raven and I think Rachel were), of course you want the losers to go home so that you get more time.  If you're on the losing team, like Dani M. and Vanessa, of course you're going to be upset because you're losing time to the detriment of the relationship.  That's why the producers do stuff like that, to make things happen and provoke reactions.

ETA: And I agree that Ben's season's girls were worse. The women on this season generally seem pretty level-headed and normal, even with their agreements (except Corinne, but that's obviously why she got cast).

The potential DWTS stint amuses me because Nick said last year on the AfterBuzz podcast that TPTB (after CS) don't want the Lead to go on DWTS (speculating if Ben would be on DWTS) because they want the new couple to concentrate on their relationship and DWTS causes stress on the relationships. Soooo if Nick decides to do DWTS.....

I think if Nick and Vanessa are together...Nick should move to Montreal. Nick does not have family in LA or a job that is unmovable IMO. Vanessa has both in Montreal. Besides Montreal is a wonderful city with lots of potential for Nick IMO.

I think the only thing that might keep him in LA is if he's seriously working on that men's grooming business. If he's still partnered up with that guy (I think his name was Bryan?), then he might need to be in LA to launch and run it. But I do agree that Montreal would be a great place for Nick and Vanessa to settle down -- it still has that city feel that Nick seems to gravitate towards having lived in Chicago and LA. Plus, Montreal has great restaurants!

That being said, I remember reading in an interview that took place before filming started that Vanessa was willing to move. So who knows? I mean, SPED teachers are needed everywhere... I just don't know if her qualifications are easily transferable between Canada and the US. I hope, if she does move to the US, that she doesn't end up leaving her career for full-time IG shilling.

Nick isn't gonna turn down being on TV ..Period!!!  IMHO....

I don't know if it's been said here before but I just wanted to say that Vanessa has such a killer body. Combine that with her infectious smile, Nick is a very lucky guy indeed!

I would love to see this too Seabear.  OR- both Nick and Vanessa do DWTS & Vanessa wins. Hehe.
But truly I hope they focus on just them and get the hell out of the limelight. Give up tv entirely and leave us fans to decipher only their sm dust.
Post script: Nick became a bachelor legend after winning the heart of the most beautiful woman on it, who happens to be his soulmate. Nick moves to Canada, sets up a French Canadian male grooming salon called 'don't feed the beards'. Vanessa continues her career right up until she marries Nick in a private ceremony wearing a stunning 2018 collection dress. They have 11 children and live happily ever after in perfect harmony.
