Vanessa Grimaldi - Bachelor 21 - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #3

This is a general discussion thread. All opinions positive and negative are welcomed. If someone posts a positive opinion, followed by a negative by someone else, they are BOTH opinions. NO ONE needs to apologize for their posts or justify their right to post.

Concurrently, if I post a negative opinion, anyone can respond with a positive, that doesn't mean I'm being attacked, it means they are posting THEIR opinion.

Those that support the spoiled F1 have every right to post their opinions, just as the one's who do not care for the spoiled F1. There's no need to be on the defensive, it's totally unnecessary. I may read something negative or positive that I didn't realize, or I may not agree with a positive post. We do not want any member to refrain from posting their opinions within the rules.

Fan threads before the end of the season poses a problem for our non spoiled members. They will see the title thread.

About flaws
I do think Vanessa has been unfiltered and therefore some traits that could be interpreted as blah, or tolerable, can also be viewed as part of her humanness.
I really liked how she was loud on the boat while playing the word game because @pacozero posted that clip and a few of Vanessa's Montreal friends were ribbing her in the comment section about how that's definitely her when they have game nights.  Nick needs to see that side of her to decide if for him, like her hometown friends, it's just an acceptable part of who she is.  Based on some of her IG stories with coworkers, they adore her rambunctious self and although not all people will it is Nick's call on what energy level suits him. If she had toned down for the cameras she would have been fake or at least only partially authentic IMO.
I adore her strengths and also appreciate that she has shown other qualities that need to be considered by Nick.  He's never been an advocate of "perfect" so Vanessa's uninhibited approach gives him a lot to process in terms of what life would be like as a unit.
In the reverse, Nick showcases some of his traits that may baffle certain women: his dinosaur antics, his need for touch, his crying.  He needs to exhibit these traits to learn how, Vanessa in this case as it is her thread, responses because along with his positive traits come these quirks that some women may see as undesirable while another doesn't bat an eye at.
Don't we all just want to relax into our own skin when with our significant other?  That other will always have attributes and flaws but the key is acceptance. Otherwise you end up with a nagging spouse.

Unfortunately for me, my own pet peeve has me picking up some scenes/behaviors that I've found annoying and suggestive that she comes off as wanting to be the center of attention, hyper-emotional, whiny, entitled and dramatic. Hopefully, we shall see something very different in the next episode.

Disclaimer: This is my opinion as I have every right to express it. I realize many people have a differing perspective in this thread and that's fine.

Her crying was only reflected through statements she has made with the viewers...these are akin to me as her talking to herself trying to express her emotions...nothing has been shown so far on her expressing these feelings to Nick during their conversations or to anybody else...thus, I cannot see them as her being entitled or whiny...I actually find it real since she has invested feelings for him...her insecurities or jealousy may have been peaking out a bit...which is quite natural for people who are in love...

I don't know how extensive/intensive the love can be for a person to act and make others feel their sense of entitlement to their partner...in the real sense of the word sometimes love carries the feeling of ownership/possessiveness, being territorial...thus, making them feel the need to fight for the survival of their relationships...as long as it doesn't result to physical pain or emotional hardships...I think it wouldn't be as bad if we show a little of bit of jealousy once in a while towards our partners......

regarding the scene where she was sharing a fact about St. Tomas - did you notice some of the girls' faces? she was getting a side eye and the way she was talking started with something like "here is one fact that I know!...." like she was showing off...

On the catamaran she was yelling loudly in response to Nick's questions and Nick even responded..."OK!! (with a surprised 'you don't have to go that far' emphasis) someone likes their sweets"

I'm curious if any of the girls in the house have been asked what they think of her during any media interviews

I don't think Nick thought that way. Since he said "Someone likes their sweets" after she said that to me he basically was poking fun at her for being so expressive over her answers.

ETA: I can easily see why Vanessa chose to work with adults/children with special needs. IMO, she embodies the passion, spirit and enthusiasm they often desperately need. She's perfect for the job, IMO.

She reminded me a lot of Kaitlyn on that group date, both with her screaming the answers and facial expressions, and even just her general demeanor which is a bit "look at me!". It's become such a cliche to say at this point, but she really does seem like a combo of Kaitlyn and Andi as she reminded me so much of Andi when she was confronting Nick about Corinne. I wish we got to see a bit more of her; it's really hard to get a good grasp on any of these women's true personalities since we see so little and it feels like I'm just going on gut. I do think she's basically Nick's dream woman, from what we know, but I've always wondered if his type is actually the type of woman he can have a healthy relationship with. Just from hearing his past relationships, I've always gotten the vibe that it isn't, but I'm looking forward to seeing how that works out. IMO.

When I see a drink in Vanessa's hand with every interview or drunk being one of her favorite past times, I may draw comparisons. The day I see Andi in a classroom with children with special needs and it's all about THEM, I'll know it's her identical twin.

My very strong opinion, only!

Never said they were identical, just that she reminds me of them both. Kaitlyn wasn't the drunk girl during her season, and Andi was a respected ADA helping keep her city safe. Sometimes, a good edit and a career doesn't tell us everything about a person. IMO.
