Re: Bachelor 21 - Nick Viall - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #2
I see no reason for TPTB to switch up the fact that they have consecutive successful couples and if anything, I actually think they want more successful couples and why they have multiple BIP engagements so they seem to actually be wanting more potential successful couples, not less.
They already get great ratings regardless of whether couples last or not so no need for them to switch up anything. In a way I think the fact that there are recent consecutive successful couples helps to legitimize and add credibility to this crazy show.

Re: Bachelor 21 - Nick Viall - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #2
There are other fresh endings they could try than having Nick dumped again. Like maybe he'll be the first Bachelor to let his F2 go before the FRC. That would actually make sense, since he was so unhappy about Kaitlyn letting him pick out a ring and deliver his pre-proposal speech before dumping him.
I'm just happy they're shaking things up a bit by choosing leads that weren't F3. Before JoJo it was 4 in a row and none of them even seemed into the previous lead, they were just auditioning. That's the vibe I got from Luke as well.

MF wants an on the spot wedding. He has been saying this for years, and teased it during Ben's season. I doubt he'd be happy with the F1 dumping the lead. If anything, they won't have a choice, it's engagement or engagement, nothing out of the box IMHO.

While I doubt MF's goal is to get as many happy couples as possible, it certainly doesn't harm the show that the past few seasons have ended with happy couples. It's been a running joke on Big Brother forums, that they have had better percentage of successful romances than the bachelor. Many viewers turn in for the love story and romance, not just the drama. I don't think how humiliating Nick for the third time would do the show any good. I would feel sorry for the woman going it, she'd get so much hate for it. I do hope Nick will find his woman, get his HEA. He'd be the Boston Rob of the Bachelor.

@Fingersandtoes that's a great comparison of Nick to Boston Rob (who is one of my fave contestants from Survivor)
@stuckinsc we may not see eye to eye this time with Nick but still

Great point, GA, I can see this exemption too. Nick has always been willing to do whatever TPTB want, so am immediate wedding or AFTR wedding would give him that too.
Survivor is the grand daddy of reality shows and they constantly tweak the formula. JMO, with choosing less sweet and PG-13 Nick, MF is saying he wants some change, so nothing will surprise me. I can actually see the immediate wedding more, but will not feel bad if the man who chose to put himself in TPTB's hand for the fourth time gets dumped.JMO.

@AllAboutLove, agreed . I still like the Nick Chicks and their love for a quirky individual, even if I find that individual to now be just like the rest of the professional famehoes/wannabe stars. I am perfectly okay not having the popular opinion or learning that I am wrong, it is part of learning and growing to me.
For me, the possibility of something different is the draw for me, as Nick just irritates me now. Him falling in love with a fellow wannabe is not interesting to me and since my real life is quite demanding right now, I need interesting to give this show my currently precious time as I am over the majority of these people. It has been easy to skip BiP as late arriving Caila and Wells aren't enough to compensate for those who are unlikable to me (the majority of the rest of the cast). All JMO.

I hear you @stuckinsc
For me, Nick is still interesting for me to watch and even more so now as I get to watch him as lead! It's good TV for me and I have been invested ever since I saw him on Andi' season and am even more invested now. I am looking forward to watching his next chapter it's like this great story arc and I am excited to see it play out in January

I think I would have been better with Nick becoming the Bachelor if he wasn't on BIP. A year goes by, Nick is back, then another year, back again, and so on. Only this time it's only a few months. He's like a fly that never leaves the dirty food no matter how much you try to catch it
Anyways, I don't wish him to be dumped that would just be awful but funny just hope he finds the right girl for his sake cause if doesn't work out oh dear..

See, I'm a fan, and I like Nick... but he is complicated (like, I think people who see the azz and people who see the "good guy" are both right, if that makes any sense). Which is probably what has made him interesting TV so far.
I just really really want them to give him enough 30-somethings (or at least late-twenty-somethings). Both Andi and Kaitlyn were "age appropriate," (as was Julie Berry) and fairly "normal" in terms of looks as reality TV stars go so it's not like he just dates 22-year-old models or anything. But I just worry if they give him a whole cast of like 23-25 year olds.... Although the fact that Luke was 31 makes me somewhat hopeful that they were going to skew older this season (although they didn't really with Chris Soules).

If anyone truly wants a real love story, IMO, it's Nick. When he's in, he's all in. I for one can't wait to see him figure out who he wants to be all in for.

ITA. JMO but in general it bothers me when people assume or insinuate "oh this person has gone all L.A." I don't see Nick moving to L.A. at the moment any different than if he had moved to Houston or Seattle or insert any other place. People make changes throughout life, sometimes different opportunities open up for them, if it is something they have interest in and the chance is there then I see no issue with going for it. Just because someone moves around or tries something new doesn't automatically change who they are as a person. I see the same main characteristics of Chicago Nick in the L.A. Nick.
I was going to (insert any productive activity) but then well...........Nick
