Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

GA you are right, Ben has proven that he is more mature than those that were older and just wanted to chase fame. I for one am glad that he proved to all those that thought he was too young wrong. Ben and Lauren were there for the right reason IMO.

Suffice to say that she won't disappoint till she does. Again, like others before her. Imo as is anything I post.

I also agree with both of you, and I am not overly worshiping Lauren, I just think both and Lauren and Ben are doing well. I appreciate their choices like GA explained above.

We have over 20 Fan Forums with around 60 topics and approximately 15,500 posts. I'd say there's a lot of worshiping going on in one way or another. What one might think is worshiping, someone else might feel they are just posting a positive opinion. That's the way I see it.

I tend to cut these people some slack in the beginning because it is such a huge adjustment going from filming a reality television show, to being in hiding, whether you're the lead, F1, or another contestant and then being thrust into the public eye. It certainly can be difficult I would assume, but they did sign up for it.

I totally get weighing your options and seeing what could be there for you to take. At some point though, it is time to put your big girl panties back on and do something with your life. For annoying as I found Caila, she moved to a new city, started a blog and has a job, whether it's her forever job or not. She's working and being productive. I would hope by early fall, (1 year since taping first occurred) when the dust starts to settle even more, that Lauren has found something for herself. If not, I'll just begin to lump her with the other people from this show that have nothing going on except being so and so from the bachelor/bachelorette. Plenty of these former leads and contestants get crap for not doing anything. It's only fair I lump Lauren into that category too in a few months if she's not doing anything.

Yeah, I think cutting slack for a few months is plenty of time. IMO
I could see myself enjoying a nice long vacay during summer. Especially since I believe that area is still getting snow.

I don't question their maturity. I don't think there is something bad to say about their relationship . Even those situation of his finale about saying I love you to both women.I don't even care. About their spending each sides of both families that is normal like other formers able to do that too. The only difference is he brought their both families on stage to be able to witness the repeating proposal in front of Lauren family onstage that made him called his whole real sincerity that people talking about it. I know that is over the top at some point. I don't question his genuiness or sincerity. They seem happy and okay in post life so far at their five months being together after the finale . They are at their early stages of their post life which real life kicking and seem doing fine . But as what others saying here it's a long way to go. I can see these two will walk down the aisle . I would say yeah possibly since they seem to talk wedding planning and really don't want to be engaged for a long time. But still going to watch the feet.jmo.

^^^^Long way to go imo. They seem fine now but still in the beginning stages of being "out of the bubble." It does not bother me that Lauren is not back to work. Her choice, and they both seem fine with the decision. ;)

Lovebites... you brought up the saying "I love you" to two women. Ugh. Need to forget that. I am sure once Jo's season starts and I see how happy and giddy she is, all will be forgotten. Here is hoping.

Ben is not the first, nor will he likely be the last, to say ILY to 2 people (or more). Kaitlyn told both Nick and Shawn she loves them. They just didn't air her telling that to Nick. They had plenty of other drama. She even told Ben she was falling in love with him too. So that makes 3 guys. Just one recent example that comes straight to mind.

Ben just happens to be the first time they REALLY played that up and made it part of the story. I hated it at first, not gonna lie. But I've had plenty of time to think it through, and honestly I'm just as over it as I'm sure all the major players are. In a lot of ways, I totally and completely see where Ben was coming from. Most leads are torn. They have 8 weeks and a handful of dates to make a pretty major decision. Ben saying ILY showed to me he was in the moment, was vulnerable, was stating what he was feeling and was being present. In some ways, him telling JoJo that, that he DID love her, he just also fell in love with someone else may have actually helped her in the end. Perhaps it would make her own feelings feel more validated and help her feel less used. She was there for a reason, Ben really did reciprocate her feelings. But it's the Bachelor, and there are other women, and he had a stronger connection with someone else. That's how the cookie crumbles. The show innately sets people up for this.

Regardless, Lauren and Ben are IRL now. They seem to be doing really well so far. Yeah, watch the feet, yada, yada. I think the feet look promising, they are constantly moving in unison. Ben and Lauren, to me, are about as promising as ANY Bachelor couple coming off this show (the OG, not necessarily 'Ette or Paradise which have better track records, but Ben and Lauren hold up as promising against all those successful couples as well). If they break up and life happens, well, that's life. I don't think anyone can ever say they didn't try to give it a fair shot. They are in the middle of giving it a fabulous shot. And JoJo is currently in her own bubble, probably like 2 weeks away from getting engaged. I'm guessing by now, she's seriously like "Ben who???' She's ultimately going to be remembered for her own story, and will be nothing more than a footnote in Ben's. Thanks for letting me .

Heck, we all have a long way to go before we reach that final finish line and decide if things in general worked or didn't. 
I know couples that have called it quits 20, 30 and 40 yrs after their I Do's. They had a real looooooooong way to go in order to figure things out. :shocked!:
I guess the real winners are those that realize what they want and work towards getting it prior to breaking that last ribbon.   JMOAA

Speaking of Jojo's upcoming season . I wonder if the bachelorette franchise asked them to appear on the upcoming Jo's season since they are the latest reigning couple on the show ? I think Kaitlyn did tape and flew in LA last week if I am not mistaken . Just thinking .
