Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

I don't know about anyone else, but flying is a major hassle. You are lucky if you have an overhead compartment to fit your carry-on. I want to get to my seat, get comfortable and maybe catch a nap or read. Above all I want to get to my destination safely. 
I want the people in charge doing their job, not posing for photos, not giving out autographs and not talking to people blocking the aisle as I try to get to where I need to in that skinny azzed aisle.  I want them to be alert and attentive in case there is an emergency. 
So if being famous is going to create an obstacle job-wise--good for her to question going back right away. And I do remember last fall her questioning the ability to do the job due to some of the reasons I mentioned.

I wasn't aware that fans were complicating the matter, which is why I asked earlier. So all of that stuff has happened to her? Or was it just all the media attention that we're assuming thats why she's not going back right away? I dont follow this couple or this season, so I don't know how much attention or how crazy fans or how popular this couple are compared to previous couples (which I'm not trying to compare to btw). Anyways, I'm sure she'll go back to work soon or find something to do. I don't see her (hopefully) like some previous contestants with no job.

I don't know what has or has not happened prior to the show ending. I don't think she has been back to work since the finale.

She talked a little about it on the Kimmel interview. I don't remember everything she said, but I do remember she said she felt bad for her passengers. So I think it was affecting her work in some way.

I don't buy that she left (or is leaving? Maybe?) her job because the recognition and fame made it difficult. I think more than likely she wants to pursue something else, make more $$ in the process, and have more fun at it. Having a soon to be husband at home is enticing too as I'd want to see him every night after work. I don't fault her for that.

I could see how people wanting to take selfies with their flight attendant could cause problems for Lauren at work. It wouldn't be fair for other passengers or her co-workers. JMO

Lauren went on leave in January or February when she said the spectacle of being on the show was getting in the way of her doing her job. She never complained, and never really got into details. She said while she had originally planned to return in April, things are still a little crazy for her. More recently she tweeted she plans to return full time soon. I don't think it's hard to imagine at all why her job - kind of a vulnerable job up hundreds of thousands of miles in the sky with whoever happened to purchase tickets for that flight- with her "celebrity" may make returning at the present time difficult. I think Kasha detailed pretty consisely why it might be hard for her- and for the rest of the crew, and for her passengers. It's not like she retreats to an office day in and out. She has said in multiple different places that she is still with Alaska Airlines. She plans to return. She wants to fly again, but may do something different behind the scenes as well. So far, I have no reason not to believe her at face value. She and Ben have (so far) been following through with everything else they've said.

And if she doesn't return, no skin off my nose. I'd rather spend my evenings with my fiancé/husband too, and not in some commuter hotel waiting for my flight back home or whatever. (I have no idea what her flight schedule would look like).

^ can I ask what exactly behind the scenes that she might prefer that you are talking about ? .just asking .

Also, lets pretend I don't know and don't care who Lauren Bushnell is. (Like most of the population). If I'm on a flight, I just want the flight attendant to bring me my Diet Coke, and be efficient. More than that, I want them alert and not distracted- especially in the event of an emergency. I'd be incredibly annoyed by the fans (so you know, people like me ) stopping my flight attendent to ask her questions, look at the ring, and pose for pictures. I'd also be super annoyed if that was my co-worker!

No idea. She never specified.

People really are over sensitive and over alert when flying these days, so I can imagine Lauren's boss even encouraging her to take time off until it all settles down a bit. Lauren has said that it is getting a bit less hectic, and that she's planning on returning flying soon. She's said many times how much she loves the job, and her mother regretted not flying longer. She *might* start something else too, but I doubt she'll quit flying. It's a needed income, in a job she loves.

I'm guessing May, especially when JoJo's season goes on full on promo mode, and starts, the attention will turn away from Lauren more and more.

^ do you think so the  whole attention will be with jojo once her season is here and will be less with them or either of them . I doubt too .
