Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

In a vid posted in the BenLo Fan Thread, Ben said they know fame is fleeting and they really want to get back to normalcy . Ben is back to his " normal" job and soon, Lauren will find her "normal" too. Whatever that may be. I agree that it's back with Alaska Air, whether as a flight attendant or some other capacity. Jmo

^but if you said that she loves her job and she will go back as FA . For sure being FA , she got to deal the public most of the time .unless she will stay around airport and work there to accommodate these flyers . Atleast more controllable environment .Jmo .

I think she'll stay with Alaska because BenLo loves to travel and there are many perks with this industry. With the expansion of Alaska Air with its new acquisition of Virgin , she might have different opportunities whether in the air or as a ground crew. I think she'd be a great trainer and rep for them too. Imo

If Lauren is going to start Wedding planning ( which she has stated that that is what she is going to start doing) and if it's going to be a TV wedding (which they both just said in an interview that they wanted this year ) I would think she will be very busy over the next 8 months especially if she has to fly out to LA several times to meet with wedding planners. If Ben can afford to support them maybe she's better off waiting until after they are married to return to work I mean how many times can one expect their job to keep granting a leave of absence.( unless it's different in the Airline companies). I predict right after they are married we'll hear they are pregnant. I just think these two have babies on the brain and I don't think that will be put off. I can be wrong but they both love kids and with the recent pics that they posted with kids & Lauren goddaughter It wouldn't surprise me at all. :babies:

^ Regarding tv wedding. It doesn't take months to plan. Abc will help you and boom everything is set as long you are in constant communication with abc . Look at janner how fast  their planning was. The only thing that will take their wedding planning that longer is depends on how long they need to wait to film their tv wedding . The franchise will give you a heads up and you start planning. Just saying .

With Jade and Tanner they didn't do the filming like they did for Sean & Catherine where they filmed all the planning and events right up until "the day" . If that do that for Ben & Lauren I'm sure it's a longer process. so i think it depends on just how much they decide to film. With Trista & Ryan they did the bachelor & Bachelorette parties & much more. just saying. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm looking forward to it.

That's pretty much how I remember it as well. She went back to flying after filming was over and flew until February at which time fans started recognizing her and it was creating a spectacle that "wasn't fair to other passengers" so she stopped flying in February. Just my opinion but this sounded to me as though Alaska Air - while they may have been generally supportive of her - may have been the ones to suggest she stop flying until things settled down and she could do her job without attracting so much attention that was a distraction.

To be perfectly honest I don't know how her situation today is going to be any better than it was in February - in fact I think it would be worse now because she's has had a lot more screen time and is a lot better known now than she was then. IMO public recognition is a disadvantage to her doing the job she seems to really love and I think it's going to be tougher for her to get back to it than she realizes.

I agree.  If I was a passenger on a plane she was working on, whether it was two months from now or two years, I don't think I could resist doing all the fan stuff.  And if there was another fan on board taking up her time, I'd be quite miffed!  

Maybe they can keep her in first class until things settle down. You'd think that business travelers would be less likely to want a selfie with someone from the Bachelor.

And therein is what I imagine the problem is. Everyone means well and no one intends to cause a problem to either the airline or the crew or the other passengers - it just happens anyway. JMO

That might be a workable solution. Several of the 737 fleet that Alaska Air flies have a smallish 1st class cabin (16 passengers or so) and that might be less intrusive than having "fanning" going on in a main cabin with 150 or so passengers. Alaska Air aircraft

Honestly, you guys are probably right. If she marries Ben (quite very  possible), she's always going to be high profile enough to get attention on flights. Trista/Ryan got married on this show 12 years ago, Molly/Jason 6 years ago, Ashley/JP 4 years ago. If any of the above were in a public/vulnerable job like Lauren, I'd think they'd still have difficulties. The show trots out all of the marrieds enough that people remember. The only way she might be able to resume like before is if she and Ben broke up and she retreats into total privacy Chantal O'Brien style. I don't really see that happening though. (At least I personally hope not.)

Maybe she can dye her hair or something. Whatever her solution, I'm sure she'll find something career wise - maybe still with Alaska Airlines as she has said she wants to stay with the company. She has a business degree (same degree as Ben, actually). So she does have options...
