Aww..Bible study with Ben's mom is as real as it gets.

I think many people watching feet to see they fail. Those who can't wait to see her move seem to be waiting for "see, told you."

IIRC Ben said in some of his interviews that he was really looking forward to being out in public and showing Lauren off to the people he's been close to. His feet seem to be consistent with doing just that so far. But Ben isn't the only one who wants to show Lauren off - IMO Amy took Lauren to her bible study group as a way of showing off her sons' fiancee to her bible study group.

The BYC planned event is also a telling venue, IMO. That BYC date was a way of Ben showing Lauren his roots - those things that he's done in his past that reflect how he sees himself and the self he wants to be. It turns out that it did exactly what he wanted it to do - which was cement Lauren's feelings for him as someone that she would want as the father of her kids - based on what she told him she was looking for. Now the BYC comes full circle in their story and becomes a return to Ben and Lauren's roots - revisiting a "symbolic" milestone in their relationship. I think that integration of a new couple into their families is very telling - Sean did this with Catherine, Jason did this with Molly (albeit a couple of months later), Shawn and Kaitlyn did it (and IMO they are solid as a couple) and now Ben is doing it with his family; I suspect Lauren's family will be next.

If "follow the feet" represents how the things that a couple does in the days following their release from the show's "jail", I kind of like where these feet are going and what they are doing there - so far anyway.

I'm not waiting for them to breakup but I've been through moms and these bachelor ladies making holiday wreaths together, uhaul trucks moving tomorrow, everyone having 16 children by next Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest, etc etc etc. Theyre just another couple that needs to prove themselves that they're real, not bubble real. Time will tell.

Did you also feel this way about your personal faves? Kaitlyn/Shawn and Jash? Seems only fair.

For the record, I totally agree with you. I like Ben and Lauren a lot. I see qualities in them in their interviews and interactions that make me very hopeful for them and more confident about their chances than many past couples. But only time will tell. Life happens too. Just follow the feet.

Not sure what my own personal fairness beliefs have to do with anything. Fwiw, I stay out of all my favs' "general discussion" threads. It's a personal choice. I'm sure people are speculating all sorts of things about my fav couples and I really don't care. 

It's fair, it's a discussion board but I choose to only participate where I enjoy. Reading breakup predictions for the couples I root for isn't something I care to do. I would suggest the same for anyone else who roots for any of these couples/contestants and doesn't want to read anything negative. Not in a snarky way, but it actually makes for a much more pleasant posting experience, in my experience

Hilarious! Tell us how you really feel!  I'm always leery of relationships that start out with total hero worship (vibes of Bremily) and Ben seems very easily manipulated, susceptible to the bubble, needs to be talked down from the ledge kinda guy, so I'm skeptical. I don't think they're breaking up tomorrow or anything but "marry her tomorrow!!!" blahblah? Yeah. We'll see.

Was no offense meant at all! Sorry if it came off that way. I was just generally curious how you felt the vibe of your personal faves differed from the others. Like I said, I agree with you! Time will tell! I'm hopeful for them, but I've also been burned with a couple or two from this show in the past.  

So here is something CRAZY I just kind of realized. Let's just say hypothetically Kaitlyn/Shawn and Lauren/Ben get married.  It's definitely possible, IMO he chances are just as good at back-to-back successes as they were when Sean/Cat and Chris/Des went back to back. I mean, obviously the jury is still out with both, though at nearly a year Kait/Shawn have at the very least proven they are for real. And Lauren/Ben are in very early days, but I think they are promising. So... Let's just say both work out. That would mean out of the past 7 season, FOUR ended in marriage. That's greater than 50%. That's kind of insane for this show with the terrible track record and reputation for making lasting unions. Go back 10 season, and you add Ashley/JP, and that's 5 marriages out of 10 couples. Batting 500. Wow.

But regarding the reason I can't find myself on board with Benlo is what I've already posted- both Ben's proposals are me, me, me, me, what can Lauren do for ME?! And Lauren just strikes me as false- bless your heart, dear one- reminds me of Emily and Amanda her bestie from this season. They can prove me wrong all they want. I'll only be happy for their fans and more successes on the show.

I didn't like Kaitlyn's season, and I hated Shawn's edit. But the real life for them is 1,000x better than the show! Happy for them. They seem genuine to me. I'm glad I was wrong! With Jash, I kind of felt about them like I feel about BenLo. Pretty dang confident from the start.

Wish I could do this. I want to defend the ones I like. Spent a lot of time defending JPG and Nikki. They didn't last but I do think they had a real relationship. Sadly I haven't given a rip about a final couple since them.

I will say Kaitlyn and Shawn are going strong and if Ben and Lauren make it that would be amazing. MF gets darn lucky sometimes, I refuse to believe it is anything casting does, just dumb luck.
