It's not Ben's feelings I doubt. To me he has proven himself to be sensitive, easily manipulated and inexperienced....JoJo the exact opposite. She...and her whole family...have been shooting for her to be the lead and the intriguing thing for me was watching how they (and tptb), managed to wrangle it.

I don't think the family would have been able to predict that Jojo will have a connection with the lead so I can't see that they shoot for her to become the ette from the start.

But certainly during the HTD, they looked like pros compared to the other families. They were OTT and they certainly hit the nail on the head because the only thing I saw on SM was about the two brothers and the mom drinking straight from the bottle, couple that with Jojo's ex sending flowers. If that was not staged by TPTB, might have been staged by the family and TPTB may have thought they hit gold by capturing it on film. Normally, the F1-4 will take the lead through the town but it was weird that it was shot at Jojo's house and they didn't go anywhere else. So, from that point on, I can see them already thinking they had a chance for Jojo to become the lead since they didn't see a connection with Ben.

From that point on, it was TPTB mapping out the edit to get her to the next season.

I don't think anyone here is diminishing the relationship between Ben and JoJo. I didn't see JoJo in love with Ben. That's not diminishing their relationship, it's my opinion and how I feel.

I'm Happy that Jo Jo is going to be the next Bachelorette and that Ben chose Loren that I seen something special from the Meet and Greet night one and every week after .

Me, too. I didn't see a love connection with Jojo, either.

I saw a connection. Just not as deep and strong as with Lauren. To me telling her about his dad, mentioning that first date so often, crying to her family, wanting her to know the real him in his beloved hometown, etc... unmatched.

With Jojo, he can be himself as he said. With Lauren, he is changed. She makes him want to be a better man maybe? I wouldnt be surprised if we heard something like this from him at FRC or AFR

Yes, if I look at what he has been doing, and not listening to what he has been saying, IMO its pretty clear that it was always first Lauren in his mind.
