As to Jojo - .

I'm not surprised in the sense that I haven't seen such a perfect Bachelorette candidate in a long time.  Choosing the lead for ABC/TPTB is a business hiring and IMO they couldn't have overlooked such a perfect candidate for a significantly lesser one.  The tone of the general audience was very clear. There's no way IMO that doesn't matter to them, to put out a product people are in large numbers saying they don't want. In this era of social media, it's a lot harder for TPTB to invent someone as a fan fave viewers are invested in if it's simply not true IMO.  This would have been one of their most bone headed moves to date, with the media attention Jojo will have after this finale.

Plus Jojo is such perfect lead material and will have the best set up for their own chance at love since Deanna, IMO. Can't wait!

And how awesome would it be if the ex came on the show to win her back? It was clear to me that he was all in on the little fake out on her HTD....all the better for him to be a part of their next show. Yes, I can hear the hypocrisy screaming.

I see nothing perfect about JoJo as the bette candidate...any more than any previous bette...other than she and her family and her ex know how to work it. As for her comparison to Deanna, well, we all know how well that worked out.
