The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - Episode 9 - Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I think I posted from my dreams last night What I can't wrap my head around is, if he tells Lauren he loves her, blueish T-shirt, why so unromantic . It was during the daytime . Then we see her gushing lying down with him saying, Ben ily. If he already told her why not respond then ?

I now realize first romantic ily could very well be Jojo. When he tells Lauren ily as well, could mean he told her about what he blurted out to Jojo and that he has been in love with Lauren....as well.  We do see a scene with Lauren having tears in her eyes. If so, why do they wake up or show morning sc with them looking very close?

That's one thing that made me spin things differently . Knowing the real order of the dates, meaning Jojo before Lauren, things could have eased since Jojo makes things easier for Ben as CH said and there's something to be said about that. But seeing Lauren after on turtle date, he seems still attached to Lauren .

True, which is why I'm itching to see what unfolds Monday night...if he tells her ILY, then she has every right to feel blindsided, as does Lauren!

I think Lauren gets the first two ILYs we saw the I have known for a while I am in love with you (I think appears sweet) as well as the next morning "I do love you" Which could have been part of the goodbye and a reminder he loves her especially if she was showing doubt. I think the third one when we only see his face and not clothes is to JoJo (also sweet).

IMHO he lets Calia go in the green shirt we see him crying in but never says I love you to her.

No they'll be like wait maybe he'll send Lauren home then because he told her ILY too.
So the one who didn't get the ILY will be the choosen one.

Perhaps the straightforward, unromantic ILY is something like:

"Honestly, I do love you, but you know the position I am in, and that I have to see this through."

I think he told her he loved her a lots of times (and more passionately) the night before.

Sleepy, if he says this, then she doesn't really have the right to be blindsided because he's been open with him the whole way (I believe the "honestly" edited in but it doesn't really matter- it's still matter of fact) Do you think she gets all 3 declarations? If not, I think we'll see some doubt from her to promote Jojo's story.

No, not yet.

Okay... so I just looked at the preview of B and JoJo's FD- the whole "support of the family" thing is setting up the phone call- which IMO is totally unrelated to what's really going on- but in the context of the show, what they want viewers to believe, I think tptb will play up that just to make the phone call seem super dramatic in previews. Who knows how they'll set it up in the finale.

I can totally see this happening. I think the "I love you" slip to Jojo was more out of lust, passion (why he didn't remember he said it) than logic and reason which is what is going to bite him (for a commercial break at least) in the end (but not really, because he still gets the girl).

I think screen cap evidence proves the first 2 ILY's are to Lauren (I've know for a while I'm in love with you & honestly I do love you). No, I don't think that second ILY can go to Caila during break up bc they switched the order of dates for TV, so they can't show Ben breaking up with Caila in what he wore to say goodbye to Lauren. I think he breaks up with Caila in the green shirt. We have tons of caps of him looking distraught in that outfit.

The third ILY may go to Lauren as well, but it more than likely goes to JoJo. It's the "spur of the moment" mistake ILY. And I believe it's the reason he had to pre-meditevely tell Lauren he loves her during their date the next day.

Regardless, I think enough clues point to Ben and Lauren together in the present and engaged. ***edited**They have a show to produce. **IMO**Ben probably did love JoJo in a Bachelor Bubble kind of way- but he just "loves someone else... More." That someone else is Lauren- and by now it's probably real love,**IMO** not in the bubble. And it wouldn't shock me if JoJo is back with the ex (who I don't think she's over), so she's probably fine too. And if not, she has a real shot at he Bachette gig, so all is well.

TPTB are using this ILY-gate for all its worth.
