I think he says it to his F1 and F2 IMHO.

IMO Ben is not a hard guy to read, and he's been over everyone but JoJo and Lauren for a while. He just has had to keep them around. He's liked them as people but there's been no real spark. When I see how he acts with JoJo and Lauren, IMO it's clear there's more feeling and spark with Lauren. JMHO. TPBP can throw curve balls and edits, but imo it just simply boils down to him having more feelings for Lauren.

Why can't they just "show it like it is" (to quote CH). As long as JoJo doesn't come out bitter and guns blazing, and I doubt she will, she can have a mature chat with Ben, get the closure she needs, and everyone can acknowledge this was 4 months ago, and she's ready to move on. Then announce she will be Bachelorette. I don't see the big deal here. There isn't much difference from F3 to F2 anyway, in terms of time and feeling development.

IMO, the only way JoJo could be Ette is if she is F3 or if it's a mutual separation at F2. This franchise hasn't had an F2 as Ette since 2003 (Trista).

I definitely don't discredit Ben's feelings for Jojo because it's clear he cares for her deeply by the end of this. And because of that when he has to hurt her by saying goodbye he will be in a way heartbroken. He is a good, caring all around nice guy who doesn't make a habit of hurting people.  So will there be tears and sadness? Yes there will be.

But all of that, IMO, does not detract from his relationship with Lauren. I'm confident it was always Lauren for Ben. She's the one who actually scares him because of how much he loves her and could end up hurting him. I think she may say I love you later than the other girls and this will play into the ending, he's waiting to hear her say what they both already know. Even though he's the bachelor it's been a very even playing field between the two right from the beginning which is what I've liked most. He's chasing her and winning her over as much as she is with him. He reassures her more than anyone we've seen this entire time. His "don't" in response to her questioning how he's feeling to me was very telling. This equal footing, well thats what real lasting relationships are made of.

So to me, all of his tears at the end for Jojo don't make a proposal to another woman anything less than it would be otherwise. To me it just shows how strongly he felt about Lauren to chose their love over anything else.

Excited for these two, genuinely nice people, hope they get to give it a real go. I have a feeling it could really last.

And Jojo, here's to hoping you get the bachelorette gig, (if she's over Ben at the ATFR there's no reason they can't delay the announcement a week and filming a week and give it to her) and you get some fantastic guy out of it.

Just because they haven't since Trista, doesn't mean they can't ever again **IMO**.  **edited** I truly don't get the reasoning there. I honestly think the reason they haven't gone with a F2 is mostly circumstantial, not because of the timing of filming. Let's take a look:

S1: Trista; F2
S2: Meredith; F4; F2 Kelly Jo was pursued by TPTB, but she got in a relationship.
S3: Jen; F1 w/Andrew- she is just who they wanted.
S4: DeAnna; Fake F1- again, just who they wanted
S5: Jillian. F3; It WOULD have been F2 Molly, or F1 Melissa, but Melissa turned it down, and Molly was with Jason.
S6: Ali; F4; F2 Tenley was also pursued, but F4 Ali was who the show ultimately wanted. Better/bigger personality.
S7: Ashely; F3; believe me, they wanted F2 Chantal, but she got in a relationship. Ashley's edit was less than desirable on Brad 2.0.
S8: Emily- F1. She was just who they wanted.
S9: Des- F4; they also pursued F2 Lindsay, but she got back wth a boyfriend - do you see a running theme here?
S10: Andi- F3; F2 Claire got a weird edit on Juan Pablo's season, plus she was 30+, and Andi was the more compelling story
S11: Kaitlyn- F3, F2 Becca was also considered, but a virgin who has never been in love who is boring as crap on TV? Not the best option.

The show can and will pick whomever they think is the best direction for their show to go in. They definitely can pick a F2 girl, and spin it however they need to. It is not outside the realm of possibility for them to pull back the curtain, acknowledge its been 4 months, and let Ben and JoJo have a classy convo. Then announce her as the next Bachette. Not a big deal. RS is kinda thick here.

^^^ I think if tptb want Jojo, they'll set up a conversation at the FRC which will set her up properly.... we finished taping months ago, I've moved on... etc.

I know this is not the Bette but wasn't Ben F announced on ATFR? It's been months since the ending and I'm sure most of the girls have moved on.

Ben was announced on an episode of Paradise Live so almost two months after the FRC aired.

It was the Bachelor Pad live conclusion, as I recall. Same epi where Blake proposed to Holly. Predates BIP, or Paradise Live.

They can always officially announce the next Bachette during a live show of DWTS. They've done that with a few bachelors, Jake and Brad 2.0 come to mind.

I thought Ben F was announced on the finale of Bachelor Pad? I might be remembering wrong though.

I absolutely think F2 could be the next lead. I always thought the reason they usually aren't is because of timing not story. In earlier seasons when a F2 or a F1 was a lead, I don't remember it being back to back filming with basically 3 shows a year like it is now. So the timing worked out easier.
