I am guessing they cut a lot as they wanted to send off to be about Jubilee pulling back, NOT about Lauren ?

^ That's what I think, Sophie. Makes sense to me. Ben including that info in his blog seems to give the real reason (imo) why he made that decision then and there.

Reading that blog I got the sense that something happened between Lauren and Jubilee, and either Ben witnessed it himself or Lauren told him while they were having their stroll. He seemed strangely cold towards Jubilee and I don't think it was just about her pulling back. She was feeling insecure last week as well and he reacted very differently. She was probably expecting more of the same and instead she got cold pissed off Ben. Even though I do like Jubilee, I think it was a valuable lesson for her. You're not gonna win anyone over by constantly doubting them and giving them grief. It might work a few times, if the other person is truly infatuated, but certainly not in a situation where they have plenty of other options as well. In any case, it's manipulative. You can say she was just perceptive, but I think she would've acted this way in any scenario apart from Ben actively favouring her. I can't fault her for wanting to be pursued, but the chances of that happening are very slim on this show, even if you act like a ray of sunshine, never mind a storm cloud.

This scene stood out to me. Lauren tasted whatever marinade/sauce they were making and quickly added an ingredient, much to Jubilee's disagreement. However, I just watched it again and it's not clear that Jubilee was that disagreeable. All you hear is a "nooo" and Jubilee taking over the mixing, but you don't actually see her say no because the camera pans down to the bowl. I thought Jubilee/Lauren were quieter and/or not displaying as much fun as the others, so Ben assumed they were having problems. But the blog makes it sound like there was more.

In any case, I think Jubilee's inability to ride out the process was starting to get old. I understood her POV, but she handled it with subtle child-like tantrums. And she had the potential to exit confidently.

OK. I read Ben's People blog and like some others here, it really, kind of, like...annoyed me.

First:

"And of course Amanda woke up looking perfect. It was like when you see someone wake up in the movies and it looks like they just went through hair and makeup. I wouldn't hate waking up to that every day for the rest of my life."

Ben you are an idiot if you think this is how she wakes up....she did just go through hair and make up. Forget it, you're an idiot for just writing this.

Second:

"And knowing that she hadn't been on a date in so long and that she dedicates so much of her life putting her kids first rather than herself, I just wanted to wow her."

If she put her kids first so d*mn much she wouldn't be on this stupid show!

Third:

Calling out Jubilee as passive aggressive, snide and having problems with her team mate. I didn't notice problems with her team mate as much as I thought she was bummed that Olivia once again got Ben. Jubilee seemed to be enjoying the cooking part of the date, it was when Olivia once again grabbed him to talk to him...as if she hadn't all day... and then he took off with Lauren for lord knows how long, that ticked her off. Don't get me wrong, she could have handled it better, but there was no need to be so negative about her in the article. Really uncalled for. I thought he would have been more gracious and understanding.

Fourth:

"potential life with Lauren H. is something that would be filled with laughter and joy at every turn."

He mentioned this several times with various women about life filled with laughter and joy and them always happy and making him smile. Frankly that annoyed me too. It's as if he is looking for a Stepford wife who is always on...to make him happy. Guess what? We are not always happy. Sometimes we are grouchy and down right b*tchy and you should be trying to make us happy. It feels like at this point he has drank the Kool Aid and anyone who is not perky and smiling and happy all the time is toast...unless her name is Lauren. I get the show is about him but right now, he is a bit full of himself and I'm not liking him as much.

Yeah I didn't care for Ben's blog and was disappointed in it/him.

I particularly didn't care for how he came across self-centered in wanting someone who will just love him and support him - in a no matter what manner. Ummm... all I could think was, well what are YOU going to be doing, Ben since you require this unconditional love almost from the getgo?

Also, I don't see why Ben had to give details about Jubilee that we didn't even see on the show and which were negative and made her look worse. It was completely unnecessary, imo, and felt like kicking someone when they were down. IMO, there was no need for Ben to drudge up all these negative things about Jubilee especially since she was already eliminated. Where's the understanding and compassion that Ben says he wants (and seems to expect) from the wife he wants??

And as for the title of the blog being about regret? I didn't hear or read any regret in that blog... only justification by Ben for his actions.

When were these posted? How is it that people catch him at the airport sometimes and then never at all..?

I hope that I can say this and not get in trouble for it Mollie had a Snap yesterday about being in Denver too.
