Me too.     This is a silly show and seems this happens every season.  I still like kaitlyn and I am looking forward to post show to see what she is up to with Shawn.  I am excited to see who is the next bachelor and to watch BIP!  It is the worst..... So I love me the US bachelores and bachelorettes !!! I love Kaitlyn for bringing all this to my tv, all the drama and tears !!! Too bad I have to wait until after work tomorrow to watch the episode !!!

And four! I think she's super mature in the way she handles social situations and relationships....everything else like drinking, partying, laughing too much etc. Is external and a grey area. It's really a lifestyle choice.

I also think Kaitlyn (and women in real life) gets held up to a harsher "ladylike" standard which I think is unfair... (Like when Kait gets compared to other "ladies" from the franchise). She likes to wear backwards hats and torn jeans, drink whisky, make knock knock and fart jokes, party, hang out in the same clothes for two days straight, is not afraid of making a fool of herself, not afraid of sex and having sex if she wants to... And these are things we've not seen other Bachelorette or female contestants do on this franchise. I think a lot of the harsh criticism stems from this... And I, for one, relate to not being "ladylike" (taking up less space, being coy about sex/partying/humour etc.) and I really enjoy seeing Kaitlyn be someone I relate and can get behind.

That said, yeah... I cringed when she and Becca made that roofie joke. I think it was distasteful. It doesn't turn me off of her as the Bachelorette, however. It was a stupid, insensitive thing to joke about, but that doesn't take away from what she's been able to give us as the Bachelorette - someone real and not cookie cutter in terms of just another Bachelorette "lady".

I think TPTB were hoping for a Jillian 2 season in casting Kait.  Jillian was a bit more real and crass than the other female leads, but she was and still is adored.  Once they realized Kait was not going to get the same adoration Jillian received, they threw her under the bus for drama and ratings.  Not hard to do with Kait, she seems to lie in the road waiting for the bus.

Haha, maybe I'll come back around to her! I remember hating Jilly around the time of her finale, because she had become a drunk, foolish mess, but I love her again now! Kaitlyn's basically Jillian 2.0, so I could see myself liking her again...I'm just annoyed with her over-the-top nature and neediness right now.

Nothing wrong with Kaitlyn while on the show liking or admiring or falling in love with Nick.

Imho, knowing who the F1 is can cloud one's ability to acknowledge that this can happen: the lead can have strong feelings for her F2 and maybe even have been legitimately confused.

Because this is Kait, I honestly see this as being the case since she lives in the moment.

Not everything has to be cut or dry to make the lead/F1 relationship more ideal and neither does K's feelings at that time need to be discounted or seen as taking away from her current relationship post-show with her F1. Jmo

I think someone's humor needs to be reevaluated when they think making roofie jokes is funny. That's not funny under any circumstances.

Kaitlyn just strikes me as a high school girl still. There are plenty of ways to be funny and silly while still acting your age. Sometimes you have to act like a 30 year old. Also, she sure likes to party and drink. No judgment from me, but she could stand to find some other activities that don't involve that every once and awhile. JMO

Just to also add something about funny women -

Pick out any female comedian or comedy writer (Mindy Kaling, Amy Schumer, Amy Poehler) and you could make the argument that they act like immature silly teenagers. Even outside of their comedy and characters, they are women who just dont take themselves too seriously. Which is why when Robert Mills was #AmySchumerforBachelorette, I was like -- pfft, what?! You guys (and the audience) can't even handle Kaitlyn who is like a mini Amy Schumer!

Anyway, I just think as soon as a woman doesn't take herself too seriously, she immediately gets put in the other bracket - classless, loose, wreck, mess, etc. I really think the world (especially the Bachelor/ette world) gets divided into the ladies vs the floozies, y'know? It's super sad and unhealthy... and again, sad.

I agree totally - she's into Nick without a doubt and there's a glint in her eye when she talks about him. She can't hold back a grin. That's just a subconscious reaction she has to him as a person and how she feels with him. I really do wonder if the sex issue hadn't happened and Nick and Shawn progressed at the same speed with Kaitlyn, got physical at the same stage of the process etc what would have happened. I like her and Shawn tog. a lot but I can totally see how into Nick she was and I really liked them together on their dates. Sometimes I wonder why she didn't pick him. The finale will be interesting for sure.

I am all about a person having a good sense of humour and not always taking themselves seriously. However in no context do I find the subject of r*pe as an appropriate topic to joke about. I am a fan of Kaitlyn and Beccas but absolutely not of this, very immature IMO. Disappointing.

Honestly, I don't see that. I think that their characters can sometimes be immature and silly, but the women themselves are pretty mature, intelligent, forward-thinking, and well-spoken. I don't mind a woman who is crass, sexual, and inappropriate at time (which all three are), but I've never seen them act stupid. Well, Amy Schumer's made some pretty racist and r*pe-y jokes, but I put that more on her being a new comedian than her being immature.

IDK. I don't think most of the K scrutiny was there until we saw K in bed, K drunk, K talking about r*pe. 
I don't think I've seen Amy Schumer or Amy Poehler take on those issues playing the role of themselves. 
There is something to say about self respect regardless of sex. I would not think very highly of a man approaching the same age doing the same stuff. JMOAA.

Jilly 2.0 is the perfect description for kaitlyn imo.
