It seems like they had to cut out a full week from filming this year due to all the craziness and truthfully, to me being fair. It would have stunk to have Kaitlyn meet anyone but Nick and Shawn's families. The first time in a long time that I think TPTB were actually showing some consideration to the people who are out of contention. So that to me is why all the TBC stuff, they had to spread this mess out.
Stuck I wish you were right, but experience had shown consideration is not likely with regard to TPTB.
More likely it was something like Ben or K was not invested enough to go forward....
If K didn't sleep with Ben there's no way she was going forward with him... Probably he knew it and she knew it.
Hey Sue, I meant the choice to not go to four HTDs. She was in no place to leave Ireland and go meet four families. She was crying over telling Shawn about Nick to literally say, but I am still doing this as it is my last chance before I become engaged. IMO, Sue, she is a complete train wreck who is now just flat out contradicting herself.

Yes, I agree - I'm too cynical to believe that this was done to spare Ben and Jared's families for hometowns. I think that either this was planned from the start, just to switch things up and maybe as a nod to Byron's season (especially with the FRC at the mansion), because they were worried about Kaitlyn checking out or having some kind of breakdown after Nick sex and they needed to please her, or possibly just because they wanted to keep Shawn and Nick in the same vicinity for their inevitable fight. Maybe we'll have a better understanding once the finale airs, but I would bet all the imaginary money in the world that TPTB don't even know what the word "consideration" means.

IMO - I think TPTB did change the schedule based on Kaitlyn's choices and emotional state. I read somewhere (maybe CH) the other day that TPTB had to add additional time in Ireland based on these scheduling changes. I think the family dates being paired down to two was based on Kaitlyn not being in a place to meet four families. It was all about Nick and Shawn. That is probably why the 3 on one date with Nick, Shawn and Joe was an exciting time spent sitting on various park benches! Woo hoo!! ;-) Not much advance planning or creativity in that date.
