Me three. She told him that she was intimate with another guy and how he handled it was commendable. Didn't see the violent temperament there.

Me three.  She told him that she was intimate with another guy and how he handled it was commendable.  Didn't see the violent temperament there.

The way Shawn handled the Nick news is key for me too, I don't see how a guy that is so jealous, scary, violent, and threatening would react so calmly and excuse himself to go deal with it. Kait blogged that his reaction was key for her too, knowing he's the type of man that would stay with her through anything, so he did something right at least!

I have not seen anything where he is dangerous, possessive or otherwise. I see a hurt , confused guy reacting to what he thinks is Nick taking advantage of Kaitlyn. I don't think he'd be like this if it were one of the other guys. He's always joking when the others get a date with Kaitlyn.
I believe it's all editing for the drama. I read where K is already unhappy with her editing. I wouldn't be surprised if Shawn is unhappy, too. I'm actually surprised that S is sticking around and fighting for her. I wonder what he thought when he saw the context of her sexcapade with Nick?

IMO, they are ALL behaving badly, for different reasons:

1)K is not being totally honest with S as to the context of the sexcapade with N.
2)S is confused by her hot and cold behavior. He's acting like a woman with pms.
3) Nick is NOT sincere, and a back stabber:
a. He tells K about S Eskimo thing, and it's none of his business.
b. N pretends that the FS jail cell is "just fine"....so there is a pattern of N not being honest, even if it is the little things....and I'm sure he's trying to be on his best behavior the 2nd time around...

I'm a huge Nick fan. I totally get him. I really like the S I see interacting w K. Without her, not so much. In fact, not at all. I do hope by the time ATFR arrives, he somewhere along the way decided to man up and questioned his fiance as she was the leader of the pack in all this mess. I also hope he has at least learned that if his best friend really likes Nick, acting a little less like an azz might be a great place to start.

LOL, Nick is such a back stabber that S best friend traveled all the way to Chicago and hung out with his old buddy. This isn't an opinion for once. It's a fact. :Nod:

What I have found through the seasons, besides the edit and the storyboard, the viewer is subjective, so it all adds to what is seen.
We all come from different places. So what ever attracts us to certain cast can repel us with others. We all see different things depending on our own POV. 
Some people love to associate with a winner, some love the underdog. 
They key thing is it's every season. :Nod:

I hate how this has all turned into Nick vs. Shawn. I knew it would but just hate that it is happening. I guess TPTB did their job. :/

That's a recycled line from Jake's season - what Shawn said was more like Ali's line about Vienna - "If she's who he wants then he doesn't want someone like me" (and by implication - I wouldn't want him). When I hear different people on different seasons say the same thing my mind always gravitates to producer manipulation as the most likely cause.

I don't dislike Shawn because of Nick, never.
I dislike him just because he is not likeable, and getting all passes for his immaturity.

-edited- we form our opinions based on so much unfairness we have seen towards Nick. We talk about the double standards we have seen, not about who is better between these two.

I agree totally. If it was Nick doing the same thing like Shawn it would have been a totally different story.

Although he handled the news 'well' he still went to Nick like a raging bull. He restrained himself in front of Kaitlyn but went to the 'other guy' to release his tensions.  What does that say about him? Bless his heart

I respect everyone's opinion...but just like Nick fans aren't going to stop defending Nick, Shawn fans aren't going to stop defending Shawn.  It's the way of the world, imo.  I just wish that people would quit lumping Shawn fans and Nick fans into one category.  But that's just me....I don't like it when people make generalizations.   I'm an equal opportunist.  I like Nick and Shawn equally.  But if you ask me who I like better for Kaitlyn, it's Shawn, plain and simple.  

I don't think Shawn is crazy, psycho, violent, abusive, possessive, or anything else in that nature.  I think he's a very aggressive and assertive person.  That might come across as possessive or violent to someone that's not like that. But I think to others (ie, Kaitlyn) they see it as love and devotion.

I don't think Nick is manipulative, vindictive, or anything else of the sort.  I think he's a hopeless romantic that when he dips his toe in the pond he ends up falling in and being all in in that relationship...whether it's a friendship, family, or a love interest.  I also think he's at least in part passive-aggressive and he uses that to get what he wants from a relationship.  

I don't think either of them are bad.  My ideal result from this show would be Kait/Shawn together and Nick as the next TB.  I would absolutely LOVE to see him juggle several relationships as I think it would be much more difficult for him than for some.  And I truly believe that once he falls, he's ALL IN until death do us part (or the other person calls it off).
