Interestingly, I've seen that happen with a lot of the Bachelorette F1/F2s (Chris and Roberto, Jef and Arie, Brooks and Chris), but not so much with the Bachelor F1/F2s. It has been really nice to see how respectful and supportive Becca is of Whitney and her relationship with Chris. I think that Chris did a great job picking his F3 Smiley

Yep, Chris just said the same thing on his interview with Ryan S. IMO the way he talks about Becca is someone who is Whitney's current good friend ... very matter of fact ... vs. someone he got to know in the bubble.

I also wanted to add my 2 cents on a post in former thread from mindless who was speculating on the video of Chris & WHitney.

Let's all keep in mind that Chris & Whitney are being interviewed over and over again for national television programs, which would be intimidating and exhausting for anyone.I have been in PR & marketing for 20+ years and have worked with executives at every level who are absolutely HORRIBLE on camera and much more engaging in person or even when speaking in front of a packed audience of thousands. Yet, you put a camera and mike in their face - even for a corporate video - and they come across wooden, uncomfortable and insincere.

Whitney is not an actress or a model or news announcer or anyone who wants to be in front of a camera professionally. She appears trying very hard to stay poised and classy so she can continue to be effective and respected in her profession and frankly just get the obligation over. Just the fact that she is working from her apartment while Chris is practicing speaks volumes to me.

I think it comes down to how you approach love and relationships.

I find that in today's society many put much more emphasis on the "show"...PDA's, FB, twitter, instagram...as if what is out on display is the be all, end all. Prime example were Andi and Josh. Lots and lots of PDA and SM informing anyone and everyone of anything. We come to find out...surprise to some...not so much to others....that in the end, it was an illusion. All flash and not much substance.

I think Whitney and Chris are more old school. In reality they are only a few years older than Andi and Josh and yet, they come across as almost another generation. Both are very solid and successful career wise and neither is much on SM. (I think some discussed a while back that JS had to help her use twitter and even then, she still barely does.) These two don't seem as concerned about keeping people informed of what is going on in their lives or displaying their affection in over the top manner. They seem much more low key and private. They will do what needs to be done...the practical, hard work rather than just the glamorous, fun stuff. That is still no guarantee that the relationship will succeed, but I think it would at least improve the odds.

I also think Whitney's lack of family was a consideration also. This made it easier to move and become family easier. I felt Whitney was his choice from the beginning because she had the personality he was looking for. I know people think Becca was really in the running. Even if Becca had expressed her love at LCD I still think it would have been Whitney just because the relationship was more solid. If she had been further along at HTD and FD I think Whitney would have gotten some tougher questions on MTP and LCD.

^^ Yes but most come here to discuss our opinions. That is okay if they are different from some. I think Chris was VERY conflicted up to the very end. Even his dad said so. I know some were concerned with some things they saw and heard at the ATFR and after. I think it okay to express them. That what this board is for.

I still wish Chris and Whit the best but I do believe they have a tough road ahead. IMHO they are starting off on shaky ground. My concerns have nothing to do with who will take the leading role in their relationship but has to do with the fact that Chris was unsure of his pick. Also he seemed different around Whit and Becca at th ATFR. JMO and I know others noticed it too.

I don't believe the poster was saying anyone else couldn't have an opinion, just stated theirs.

Agree. ^ Chris said multiple times on & off the show that he and Whitney are on the same page. Seems it made it easier for them to immediately start moving their relationship ahead in the real world.

Whitney has an established professional career, not just a little something to pay the bills until stardom is achieved or she decides what she wants to be when she grows up. She owns her condo and established a life for herself before coming on this show. She's ready to take on the role of wife and mother now because she's already established who she is. She can lead or follow, depending on what is required. Sounds like the Chris/Des, Seancat, Ash/JP dynamics.

^^^ I totally disagree and do not think chris and whit are anything like Des/Chris or Seancat. Sean was very different at his ATFR. I had no doubt he loved Cat. Des left California to go back to Seattle and start their life. I wish Chris had done the same thing. JMO Time will tell will these two. ;)

Yet Sean and Cat had problems during their time in LA and DWTS so appearance can be deceiving.

I actually think Chris and Whitney moving to LA for a short period of time is a smart move. They both will "work" part of the day and then work on their relationship and learn to live together on neutral ground.
