Being conflicted is over and done .. Kaput .. Finito .. And they have all moved on .. And until there is reason to believe otherwise .. I will wish them well .. They have a good chance of making it .. Hope they do.

I for one never saw the "conflict" as anything more than the typical show ending edit. In this case because Becca could not give the show much to work with they had to overuse Chris to create the perception of a conflicted choice and Chris actually did a pretty good job of it - better than I would have expected - at least based on how many viewers saw him as conflicted.

I recently re-watched the F3 RC and Chris' conversation with CH - and at that point in time Chris was still laser focused on what he wanted from the show and in his future life and was making his decisions based on who offered him the best chance of having that life. IMHO this is where all too many show couples fail - they don't know what they want because they haven't reached that point in their lives to realize it and once the bubble has burst and real life starts to set in, there's no common goal to work towards. I also note that while Chris once said he only wanted to settle in Arlington he has shown some flexibility in that and realizes he can live in tow different places and IMO this is an accommodation to Whitney and her career, and the fact that he is willing to do that for her gives me better than average hope. It's never been clear to me if this is something that Whitney asked for or if this is something Chris wanted to do for her; I suspect it might be the latter.

But as we have said before, that is what makes this so much fun. I will give in a little to the conflict though. While I did not "see" it this season, and most of the time I don't see it at all. This time, while I was not conflicted at all, I can see why others might have been. That said:

Believe that Chris was not true to his words of what he was looking for at the start.
Believe that Becca was going to profess her love for Chris or at least her willingness to move for him.
Believe that Chris would take a chance with Becca and lose Whitney when Whitney was all that he said he wanted.
Believe that in Bali he was just forgetting to include Whitney in his throw the dart comment, when he just mentioned Kaitlyn or Becca (pause and Whitney).

I love Becca but i never thought she and Chris were right for each other.

There have been Whitney sightings in LA, but no mention of Chris's sister as yet. I'll bet it was exciting for the Soules sisters to watch their brother fall in love on this crazy show and to really like the woman he chose to join their family. Going to the Ellen show and now DWTS isn't too shabby either. giggling

He new what he was doing in Bali. The dart was for F2 or F3 placement.
I agree. I like Becca. She went on this show with her head on straight and continued to keep it that way. Kudos!

I believe there was a conflict simply because his feelings for Becca were stronger at the time. Simple as that. The heart wants what it wants. But in the end he realised, with plenty of help from his family, that she might never even return his feelings, let alone be ready for the life he was offering. He couldn't risk ending up with nothing, when there was someone great offering him everything he wanted. I have no doubt in my mind that he considered it though, since Becca was what his heart wanted. Even his mom told her that it's up to her, and basically told her not to screw things up for him and Whitney if she wasn't totally in. I don't know how people can totally ignore that all his family seemed to be thinking he was leaning towards Becca. That's why the sisters were so worried and hostile too. They were really scared he'd let Whitney go. JMO.

I don't buy into the big conflict just because Becca almost went home the week prior. If there was a conflict, it was over the f2/f3 role.

Personally, I didn't think his sisters were being hostile...they were being realistic. Just as I didn't think Whitney's sister was being hostile. They forced her to answer truthfully and made her think. Obviously some thought they were being nasty about it, but what do you do with someone who answers that she doesn't know for every hard question asked?

Lots of fun speculation going on but if we are suppose to take Chris at his word as someone suggests then let's do so because he answered that he was conflicted. I know it doesn't fit the preferred "fairytale narrative" but if we are going to quote Chris then let's look at what he actually says...

Chris is with Whitney and that's fine. I just don't get why it's necessary to craft a narrative thats false.
I've yet to hear Chris say once that Whitney was the frontrunner all along or the one early one...but then I haven't dedicated hours to read everything from and about this couple so please do enlighten me if such quotes do in fact exist.
