Chris Soules - Whitney Bischoff - Bachelor 19 - Discussion

In our lives that likely will be over 75 years, few if any opportunities will come to us and we need to grab them as they come along. In the case of Chris and Whitney, the public has seen the character of these two and opportunities come along. Just like Chris being able to go on DWTS, the opportunity to meet so many people on an behind the scenes. Forget the money, just look at the amount they learn from the people they rub shoulders with. Chris is so much more rounded from all the people he has associated with on DWTS and TB.

And on the light side, Whitney has new friends other than who she met at airports.

and she's been meeting a few lately. Good on them rolling the cob and going with the flow. YOLO

I still think these two are in for a rough road ahead. MHO, but he was way too conflicted on the show AND after the show. Time will tell, but no way have they been tested in the "real world" yet. They are just dating and it will be interesting to see what they both do after DWTS. Not sure they will pack up for the farm or not like she was so ready to do during the show. Things seem off with them, but again jmo and time will tell. I am not going to pretend like they are the new "fairy tale" couple of the show. Hehe! JMHO and happy I can express it here.

You are so right!! This was less of an option 30 years ago, but if there was more information out there I would have given it a shot, at least once.

IMO The last fairytale ending was between Chris and Des .

Soccermom, there are rough roads ahead for all couples. The tough ones like C & W have learned how to fight for what they want. They are used to overcoming which gives them a better than average chance. There are lots of adjustments that must be made, and people with patience can overcome.

I agree! They also had (arguably more) crticism and public perception wasn't too fuzzy. It took about 6 months before people realized they were probably getting married. I think we'll have a better idea on these two in the fall/wwinter, but I enjoy following them whether or not they last.

I have no magic ball to know if they will last or not, but I also give them better odds than most couples coming out of this show due to the maturity they have shown. This is also one of the reasons that I like them both. It has been refreshing to see two intelligent people, with careers they are passionate about, talk about those careers and continue with those careers...yes, I fully expect Chris to go back to farming once his stint on DWTS is over...post show. I enjoy the light hearted moments that I see between them, the respect they show one another and the thoughtfulness which seems to have gone into planning for life post show. Dare I say it...two grown ups who know who they are and what they want, who treat each other and everyone they meet with respect and don't post kiss face selfies every five minutes. For that last alone, I want them to make it!

Reminds me a lot of Chris & Des. They were kind of aloof of the Bachelor in the way they conducted their post FRC life and while giving the public enough to make they want more, they remained on the fringe of the Bachelor nation.

Yes. They could do a lot worse than to emulate Des and Chris. Enough in the Bachelor family to get some of the perks and utilize opportunities presented as a result, but far enough away to not get sucked into the sleazier aspects of the show.

OF course time will tell if they make it or not, but if they don't make it for whatever reason , IMO it will not be because he was conflicted over choosing Whitney instead of Becca .

ITA Sprite they are both mature adults and seem to know what they are looking for in a life partner. So happy that they found each other. :sweetheart:
