It had to have come from her or her people for them say that...GMA didn't make it up on their own.
This is GMA not TMZ. At the end of the day they are reputable news organization they aren't gonna make up lie to have people tune in.
They don't need to do that.

That's something I never considered so promoting this idea on a national stage is a huge win for the clinic, and Whitney too -- though it's too late for me personally, ha.

My point was that GMA is not in the business of giving away free advertising...the hook is that she has a secret.
I guess we will have wait and find out what it is.

And never said she should not do it - my only point was nobody including Whitney is above the self-promotion whether it's promoting her position/ on behalf of the clinic or anything else. That's fine. it's just that we keep hearing about how normal they want to be and doing the opposite.

But, here's the deal ... they are not "normal." Bachelor just ended with 9.5 million viewers tuning into their lovely proposal and now Chris is on DWTS which has another 14 million viewers tuning in. They have fans stopping them on the street and they are recognized everywhere they go. They have also been given a fantastic platform to take their chosen careers to the next level. And, fancy that a farmer and a nurse have something to say to America.

Why begrudge them that opportunity?

Normal is their word not mine...Im just saying don't say its what you want and then do the opposite. It was silly when Chris told Lara Spencer after FRC on GMA "we just want to get back to normal life" and then Lara had to remind him not so much if he was doing DWTS. You can't say you long to get out of the spotlight and then proceed to do things that keep you in the spotlight.

1f? That's a stretch. Whitney has an employment history with her job and an education. Her clinic is very much legit, they actually helped perform the very first IVF in Illinois 30 years ago.

I don't know much about People Water, but wasn't Jef only working there briefly, and then later fired? Hardly comparable. Also, she has about 857499 selfies to post before she reaches his level of self promotion laugh out loud

DWTS is a temporary .. Short term .. A few weeks .. Great opportunity .. That was offered to Chris .. Who admittedly said it was a fun chance once in a life time opportunity .. And who .. In the meantime .. Has been able to participate in some things that involve his passion .. Farming and agriculture.

I .. For the life of me .. Don't see now a few short weeks delay .. Makes him a liar .. Chris admits very honestly .. That he is looking forward to getting back to his own world .. And life

Thanks to those who shared how important IBF can be for those with fertility issues. It must be very satisfying to work in that field. I think it's safe to say that most people wouldn't have trouble with Whitney's "secret" if it's that she froze her eggs. Chris is already on DWTS so she wouldn't be in the farm starting a family in any case plus there's still that getting to know each other better and wedding to think about first. None of the couples immediately started planning their weddings after their show ended. The few weeks Chris will be on DWTS is just a blip and they'll still be together during his time on the show. To me this is the time to use your 15 minutes if you can.

I quoted what I heard, FLChica. I didn't hear anything about a secret from Chris.

ETA: Just heard it again and it said nothing about Chris other than she's his fiancee.

Direct or indirect benefit, but still benefit.
Whitney is just like the others, surfing the wave of her 15 minutes fame IMO.

I also thought this couple would go back to business in Iowa, after having both repeated how much it was important for them to get married and have kids ASAP.
Now Chris is doing DWTS, and Whitney is going around promoting her line of work.

Why shouldn't she, she has a tremendous platform to reach tens of thousands of people and possibly help many. I think they meant go back to normal as being able to go out to dinner, walk down the street, and just be normal in public instead of sneaking around. AS far as DWTS , why the heck not, it's an opportunity of a lifetime to have fun, meet new friends and make a few bucks . These two are a class act! I say " Good for them" :yes:

I suspect that the announcement is about the clinic starting the non profit an Whitney will be a mainstay in the organization and could assist in fun raising. The latter is likely why they are going on GMA. Just a logical explanation from what I have gathered.

They want to take avantage of the popularity of Whitney.

Having an opportunity or a platform to bring awareness to couples who are struggling with fertility issues or women (35 and older) in general who wishes to have children after establishing a career is awesome.
I say more power to her and thank her for using the 15 minutes of fame to network and spread something of importance to the public who are interested. This is very professional and astute of her and of course her employer. GMA is mainstream media and to have Whitney on (topic: fertility !?!) is a positive for GMA, Whitney/her employer and the public. This is not self promotion.

Chris' agricultural promotions are also positive and it's good publicity for the farming industry. I hope it does well!

To me there's a difference of self promotion. TPTB has a lot of contestants who are on the show to self promote, whether they are wannabe models, writers, actors or singers its a showcase for them. How serious are they in looking for a mate who knows, but they are out to capitalize on whatever air time they get. WHY else go on the show.

I agree, GMA staff probably saw Whitney's interview on the ABC 7 Chicago station and decided to feature the story about the The Egg Bank Foundation which is a charitable foundation that was started to educate women about their fertility options and to raise donations to help women to partake in the process. GMA could be re-running the interview with Colleen Coughlin as key speaker since she is on the Board of Directors. ABC7Chicago Interview Link

I love it. Good for Whitney and Chris using the public voice they've ended up with to promote the fields they are passionate and knowledgeable about. Such a mature, adult couple - really nice to see after the last 2 seasons. Whether they make it or not, I think they are both great, normal people who are giving it a real try. I hope it works out for them as I'd love to see Chris get the wife and family he clearly does want.
