Chris Soules - Whitney Bischoff - Bachelor 19 - Discussion

Eh, I'm definitely in the camp that believes Whitney/Chris are having problems and won't make it far but I don't see anything wrong with that picture. It's pretty cute, but it's posed and doesn't say anything good or bad about their relationship, IMHO.

I agree. I pick up a lot more cues and signals watching them live. I know what I saw and heard. All IMO.

I know anyone still posting and visiting this thread would enjoy hearing what you heard. :Nod:

Don't see anything posed about that pic at all .. Especially when in context with the other pics taken at that table...they look pretty relaxed and happy

I thought it was a great picture of the two of them...I think it's sweet that she is holding his hand while they are kissing. I guess we all see different things....

Thanks kasha. Nice to have a thread to express negative and positive opinions. I know some don't want to hear it and that is okay. I respect all opinions here, but I saw stress on Whit's face and ambivalence on Chris's face. JMHO but I do not see much of an effort to get back to the farm or back to real life. I still wish them well and I actually like Whit. Hope Chris knows what he is doing. As many have said... time will tell.

I use to be one who mostly stayed in the fan threads. I have come to enjoy the "non-fan discussion" threads so much more.

We(mods) are alway glad to hear good things regarding our forum. Thank you!
We try to remind all that the forum prides itself on open discussion. We rarely hear complaints about that, so no worries.

I thought you had "heard" something definitive via a source. The sleuther in me is always interested.

I think knowing that Mom and Dad Soules are HUGE DWTS fans may have played a part in Chris's decision to participate. I think it will be a once in a life time experience for them

Sorry, but that PDA on those dates was part of the reason that they were so perfect for each other according to most.  Now it is gone.  So yes to me that change is significant.  I have said I think it comes from her side.

I just think she has seen that her prize isn't all the great.  Can they manage to fall in love and be happy?  Sure they can, but the woman I see right now is not the happy Whitney of her preshow intro package, her persona on the show or even the happy Whitney holding a baby that she probably helped make.

Her demeanor is different.  She was a little much for me to take before, but now that she is so demure, I kind of miss fun and spunky Whitney.

It isn't that I don't want this couple to succeed, but I do want to see Whitney happy.  She deserves it and it just doesn't seem that she is happy right now.

ETA, I played the making excuses game for why what I saw on the show wasn't the relationship after the show for Emily and Jef. So I just don't want to play that again.  When the couple changes how they act and relate to each other after the show it means something.  Not necessarily bad, but it is worth noting and watching.

IMO, one of the explanations for why Whitney had become a little more reserved may be that much of the outside world has been very critical of Chris' choice and of her personally. I have seen Whitney called aggressive and controlling and the relationship termed as mostly one-sided. She may be pulling back a little in response to that.

I imagine that Whitney is sensitive to a lot of the discussion about being the "default pick" and has found that hurtful. On her part, I'm glad to see she has stayed off of SM - that could open up a mine field of negativity - who needs that?

It seems like no matter what Chris and Whitney do, there is going to be criticism. I think I'd stay in the background too if it were me.

Eire, I agree it probably has been hard on her. But I guess what is missing is that Chris doesn't seem to be doing a lot to help lift her up.

I actually feel bad for her and wish Chris was focusing on making her happy. Compare to Des who post show did everything in her power to show how happy she was, including moving to Seattle right away to be with him.

What has Chris done for Whitney? Make sure even when given the chance to make it better highlight how real you relationship with F2 was. Put your hands all over F4/playboy model at WTA. Point out repeatedly how much your family influenced your decision. Then the cherry on top, go on DWTS and post tons of stuff about your dance partner.

Sorry, but Chris is not acting like a man who is in love and wants to show it. I remember Des saying she may not have gotten what she wanted but she got what she needed. Chris's words and actions are not making it seem like he is thrilled to have Whitney. And IMO, she deserves better than a man who including the AFTR, has made it seem like his fiancé is just there and not someone he is darn lucky to have. I think Whitney deserves better than farmer douche. Sorry JMO.

BTW, if you had a friend in real life whose relationship caused her to go from happy and exuberant to withdrawn and afraid to be herself, wouldn't you tell your friend that maybe that relationship wasn't good for her?

WOW. That DWTS package didn't do Chris/Whit any favors...from the open flirting and him tells the world that  psychical contact with the younger, hotter, Witney is a "mental hurdle" he needs get over. Hmmm....not the words on man head over heels in love, IMO.
