So nice to read all the different opinions. Great that we can come and share views. No one really knows what went on behind closed doors and what does now. I think Chris and whit have a tough road ahead but wish them the best. He was clearly conflicted IMHO there is a reason why whit won't watch the show. Not sure she is as confident as she says ;) IMHO

My question is, why didn't he call Whitney's sister for her blessing, if he was so sure about Whitney? I'm sure producers had her number. Maybe because he wasn't entirely 100% sure at that point? Maybe a tiny part of him was still hoping Becca would enter the barn and tell him she's in love? Just a thought.

Do we know for a fact that he didn't? I don't remember reading/hearing the answer to this question anywhere in any of the interviews post show. Did I miss that? That is actually one of the questions I most want to know the answer to.

He was never asked directly, I don't think, but they definitely skirted around the topic in some of those interviews the day after the finale. I just got the impression that he didn't ask again, but maybe it was just Chris's general nervousness and lack of ability to give a clear answer that made me think that.

( This is what TPTB want in the end , hence Chris trying so hard on that LCD to get her to SAY IT .( but in this case they all knew Becca did not commit or declare her love so it was easy for them to all lean towards the storyboard "Chris is leaning towards Becca" Total opposite of what they already knew. :Nod: jmo ( I do not believe for one minute that the families are not clued in by either TPTB or their son/daughter before the camera's start rolling in their homes , half the time their faces and smiles are a dead give away as soon as the intended F1 walks through the door. ) :Nod:

They did not know whit was final 1. They saw how conflicted Chris was and they would not lie for TPTB. We all have our opinions on this and that us what they are.

TPTB must have drama, a story to tell that requires conflict. The edit and manipulation always give them what they want. JMO. In the end everybody is happy. :Woah-hoo:

I recall that they didn't show them talking to Whitney about what part she'd play with the farm. That was a big clue to me. What we did see was the red herring - the conflict and his dad talking about Whitney & Becca. With all we've seen with editing of seasons past it's hard to take much of anything they show in the finale at face value until the FRC itself.

I still think Jade would have been the f2 instead of Becca if not for her big reveal. She & Whitney were the only ones to go to his home. That's big imo.

I say this over and over but it's all subjective. None of us are likely to change our opinions about what we did or didn't see.

Fact: Chris proposed to Whitney 4 months ago today and they are still engaged and together tonight in Los Angeles. :Nod:

I respectfully disagree. Jade went to his home so that when he took his intended F1 to see his home it wouldn't be so obvious to the viewers that she was the only one who got to visit the home. jmo

There are different kinds of love .. And affection .. I do realize that Chris had great affection for Becca .. And a couple of others as well .. But .. His love was for Whitney .. Thus his proposal to her .. And what he told her during the proposal .. And in comments that he continues to make
