Being new to this Bachelor craze, it is entertaining to read about everyone's perspective. I agree with nuts2uiam, there is the before and after the ATFR.  On TV, in as much as some of what we see are real, most interactions are staged/manipulated and highly edited. Is the real Whitney the high pitched, over-eager, super talkative girl? Maybe, somehow, because she was in pursuit and in there for a purpose.  Is Chris really this "make-out" king who kisses  everyone at every opportunity?  Sure, why not, it could only happen once is a lifetime.  Are they both just reacting to the situation or portrayed differently?

So after the ATFR, the camera stops filming, the events are not staged.  They are back to their normal personas, in less contrived situations. Are they different people? Whitney is subdued, less assertive? Chris is not as much into PDA? No social media postings? It seems to me this is more what they truly are-- mature self-aware individuals who are focused and concerned about their careers and goals and less about trivial publicity.   Unfortunate for us fans, because we do want to see more of them.

We do somehow get some snippets of what life is like --when Chris mentions that he will leave all the dancing in LA except to dance at the wedding.. or that Whitney got new sheets for the apartment or that they go thru dance steps on the ipad.  These are the day-to-day things that make up the relationship.

Will they work in the real world?  Who knows? It has nothing to do with the bachelor statistics. They are just every other couple who may or may not work.  We do wish they do, because everyone of us still believe in the fairytale. Enough said

As someone not invested in this couple I think they are doing just fine. I actually prefer the couple that don't incessantly post pictures of one another.

I normally would find it refreshing too, but I find it weird that he posts SO many pictures of Witney Carson and that he posted 3 pictures of himself/Britt while the show was airing. Sean was able to post tons of pictures of himself/Petra, but still had many more of Catherine. I do take into consideration that Chris used to not be prolific on SM, and has only started using it for promotional reasons...but, still doesn't explain, why there were 3 picture of Britt, 1 of Kaitlyn, and none of the other girls. I doubt TPTB made him do that. Also, I hate to be that person that read too much into pictures and body language, but I just feel like Chris seems much happier in his pictures with WC than WB and that Whitney has just seemed kind of subdued and not the bubbly person she was on TV.

^^^ To me body language seems so off. I guess everyone sees pictures differently. All just my opinion. ;)

Yip I agree it would be such a dull world if we all had the same opinions. Other views are good to hear at times.

The show films hours of interactions between participants and then selects seconds or minutes out of all they have in order to tell a story for a TV show. That requires them to eschew any sort of deep character study and instead create a simple and at best two dimensional caricature of everybody. IMO trying to match up what we see through the lens of a different TV show with what we saw through the lens of an earlier TV show isn't going to produce an accurate picture of anyone.

^actually, according to a DWTS site i read that has good insider info, they were very concerned leading up to last week about Chris' package because apparently he and Witney Carson GOT INTO it! apparently she was getting very very frustrated and the source was worried about how the show would edit the video.

also the BL looks odd in the OK pics...but clearly they are waiting for direction from the people that are filming them about where to go, etc.

it's just puredwts.com - they have a lot of people with extensive dance backgrounds writing it up so they usually have good insight. I can't find the original entry about their fight but this is what they wrote up after the show last week

9.) Chris & Witney – This went a lot better than I thought it would, given that I heard he and Witney had some pretty major struggles in rehearsal last week. I think Witney may have phoned it in a bit on the choreo, because Chris didn’t seem to move around the floor a whole lot and she kept the intricate footwork scant (or just absent) on his part. Chris’ role in the dance was to primarily just be a a frame for Witney to dance around :-) The lifts looked great, though – but I’m not sure if that’s more of a credit to Witney or to Chris. I think the song and the stage set-up made this dance look better than it really was – some folks on Twitter seemed taken by the “drama” of it, but the dancing was just not there for me. Now I’m at a total loss as to where Chris lies in terms of fanbase – he managed to get past Charlotte last week, despite a deficit, but I wonder if he could be in trouble now that the two pieces of low-hanging fruit (Redfoo & Charlotte) have been picked off. I’m going to tentatively call him safe for another week, because I’m not sure how much Patti really has left in her, but if she doesn’t withdraw? All bets are off.

I have no opinion whatsoever on this couple but curious as to whether anyone thinks it's possible they are filming this reality show? If it's true, I might start having opinions. Lol. Then again, it is OK Mag and all..
