Chris Soules - Whitney Bischoff - Bachelor 19 - Discussion

I'd say staying in ABC's good graces by working his booty off for DWTS is enough in the wedding planning department for awhile.....

Agree with the last 2 posts. 
IMO anything related to make anyone think there are wedding plans would be ridiculous. 
One thing at a time.

And with endless photos comes endless scrutiny. (I'm guilty too!) "Her eyes look dead, he doesn't look happy, something is off with them, he's not holding her hand, she seems weird, they don't look in love"...etc etc.

Some have complained about negative attention and press while feeding into it at the same time. I like that these two aren't even playing.

Monday's theme on DWTS is "Most Memorable Year".  Chris and DWTS Witney are dancing the Rumba to Gavin James "The Book of Love"   No doubt in my mind that it is dedicated to his fiancée Whitney, a very loving gesture, IMO.  

To be fair, I don't think he could choose any other year as the most memorable or refer to anything other than his Bachelor experience, even if he wanted to for some reason. Imagine the outrage.

Yep, I think he would be in trouble not only with Whitney, but Mama Soules.

I have to agree with this. The "Memorable Year Dance" has become (for me anyway) as predictable a happening as the "in love with two women" or "conflicted until the very end when there is a sudden moment of clarity". I watch this show looking for repeating themes because IMHO things that repeat are story board / producer driven and there's little organic (naturally occurring) phenomena behind them. I think it's probably equally predictable that Chris would stay on the show long enough to dance that dance because it does make for good TV and right now this is all about DWTS and drawing viewers to that program.

I also think we need to keep in mind that rights to a TV wedding already belong to the producers - it's been in the contract ever since Trista's season when it wasn't - and they had to pay $1,000,000 to get the rights. Because of that IMO no couple is free to disclose any wedding plans they might be making unless and until the show decides they are ready to make that information public so I don't pay much attention to rumors or lack of plans being talked about in public by the couple - I just don't think that's going to happen these days.

I think it is way too early to think about wedding plans - engagements on this show aren't traditional engagements, but more like promises to get to know each other with the hope it will eventually become a real engagement.

As for photos and facial expressions - I don't doubt that the pressures from DWTS combined with getting to know each other are going to be rough for them - a fact that Sean apparently admitted about how his DWTS turn affected his relationship with Catherine. I remember then seeing a piece of film that seemed "off." But, really, none of it means anything. There will be good days and bad days and that is normal. They are still in the very early stages of their relationship and there will be things to work through; no one can yet predict how that will work out.

It sure appears to me that Chris was embarassed over week two and did not take lightly the criticism. If he is going home and practicing the steps with Whit, it tells us they are in this together. We know they both are capable of taking on a challenge. I think you are going to see a much better dance on monday, than we have seen from him so far.

For the nay sayers on here, take a look at the success rate of these two in real life. We can safely assume that both have had a number of relationships and neither worked out. Thus, from experience, they can pretty well point out what they want. As mama Soules said, Chris has been very picky.

They both know what they want and know that perfect is unattainable. Thus they will compromise because they want the same things. And of course, they are very mature adults. Finding what appears to be true unselfish love, is hard to find.

Unless something bad is being hidden, they should make this work.

Two points.  For ME the couples are divided into two distinct parts
ATFR and before, and After ATFT.
In my mind what happened before is of no consequence now, other than they are now an engaged couple in public.  They are still in a public bubble of "performing" especially Chris and by association, Whitney.  One of the successful couples, I think maybe, Ashley and JP, said there is nothing that prepares you for the response from the public.  

I try not to interpret anything now and take it all with face value.  Maybe Whitney is PMS'ing so she is not super chipper looking, maybe Chris is hurt or tired from practicing so he looks less than enthusiastic. None of us have walked in their shoes, except Sean and Catherine, and we are meer voyeurs to their journey.

Once DWTS is over, and life on and off the farm begins, then we will see if it lasts.  I am always hopeful for the fairytale ending, but never surprised if they split.
