IMO Whitney has done everything right. I wouldn't have agreed with her decision if she quit her job. The worse thing to do IMO is give up everything and in her case, which I'm sure she worked hard for. She has a beautiful condo, and a good secure job. If the relationship is strong, which IMO it appears to be, then everything else can be worked out.

I completely agree. I remember that when Catherine quit her job to follow Sean to DWTS, I definitely judged her. And, according to Sean's book, it was a mistake since Cat was bored for most of the time she was in LA. I think that Whitney has a good head on her shoulders, and is doing everything right.

Agree. Chris and Whitney have actual careers, not just jobs to pay the bills until they achieve "stardom" after being on reality tv. 

Evidently Whitney's new position will allow her to perform some duties remotely while other duties must be performed on-site. It's easy for me to comprehend that she must be physically present in order to perform IVF functions, but hey - that's just me. The on-site part will be easier once she and Chris are back in Arlington, but as you said people travel for work.

And whether they make it or not would be entirely up to her.

Whitney is a mature career driven woman and really admirable. If she wants to keep Chris good for her. That is her choice now. Chris supposedly has a real career, but since he has taken basically a year off from it to do reality tv, I will keep my mouth shut on the realness of Chris's career. Once he returns to actually doing it then I will be impressed. Still not convinced he was good enough for any of his top 3. But I often feel this way about the bachelors.

I disagree with you but also respect your opinion. I don't think Chris was conflicted at all, I think he feel for Whitney as early on as the Wedding crashing date and it grew from there. Everyone else was part of the storyboard that TPTB wanted to present. Chris even said while proposing that on that first date with Whitney he said to himself " this girl is perfect for me". The lead says and does a lot of positive things/words to both the F2 (that's his job, sometime to the F3 person too), happens every time . We the viewers job is to choose which one we think he truly means them for. Becca was beautiful , gorgeous and kind as well but imo Becca was never going to be his F1 and was the designated F2 (TPTB knew darn well that Becca's lack of relationship experience would be the easiest to cast the most doubt . Kind of reminded me of Sadie on prince Lorenzo season. It's either the well adored and likable F2 or the Villian that everyone tends to dislike . jmho Funny how we all watch the same show and yet see something so different from it. It's all fun none the less. :bigsmile:

Jolena this is a great post and ITA TPTB have a story to tell and I think Whit was it from the wedding crashers date...JMO.

just curious, didn't the little prince dump F1 pretty quick to date F2? I took that season off.

I don't think any of us will ever know when Chris picked Whitney. I also hate the proposal as agreement to date.


If Chris and Whitney make it, it will be because of her IMO. He is just enjoying whatever attention he gets. Personally Whitney could do much better. I don't care how great his parents are at the end of the day it is him you are stuck with.

She knew what she wanted. I couldn't believe when she already had a framed picture of chris in her hotel room in the last episode. wow.. She seems to be much more together than Chris. I think she's just happy to have him right now... i would definetly "date' him awhile if i were her to really see what he is like.

PS Can you just imagine the gorgeous babies they are gonna have! I can't wait... JMO...

ITA with everything you posted.  

I will reserve judgement on whether they will last or not once they get to a year of 'dating' while engaged.

It is very easy to get excited post-show, just like many did with Josh and Andi. In a way, it is not only the couple that have to get out the bubble, but viewers as well. Too often, IMO, when one watches these shows in the hopes of seeing a love story one will ride that train until it derails. When there are red-flags they will be justified away and then, later on, when the train derails, they will be looked back upon as "AHA!!" moments. This happened with Josh and Andi.

So, until Chris is off DWTS and living a normal life with Whitney it will be Whitney that will, IMHO, be keeping the relationship going as she is currently doing by supporting HIM and his endeavors -- just like she has been doing since September of last year. Nothing wrong with that, every relationship has give and take and sometimes at different periods of time.

Whitney is a strong woman but, like she admitted on ATFR, she is a woman with insecurities and that is normal, especially when going on a show like this. Sometimes, however, it is those very insecurities that will lead one to turn a blind eye to the red-flags in one's partner. I was an admitted non-Chris fan and that hasn't changed -- I am still not a fan. Doesn't mean he is a bad guy, just that he is not that great of a catch. JMHO. I just hope that Chris realizes what a treasure he has and cherishes Whitney and doesn't take her for granted. She has already proven with her actions that she would do anything for him. It will be nice to see that reciprocated somewhere down the line.

JMO. Whitney is very attractive, intelligent, has a good stable career, she is well off (that Chicago condo isn't cheap), she is warm, and she seems like she has lots of love to give. She may be a little spoiled but she is the youngest in a family that experienced lots of loss so that is not surprising.

Chris is also attractive, but I am not sure how awesome the body is when he doesn't have full time trainers and is actually working his desk job. We know his family is a big deal in their area, but he has two alcohol related convictions, and this might be from living in Austin, TX for too long, but I learned from W the president that when you are from the big family your rap sheet is usually much shorter than it should be.  He has now taken close to a year off from his full time job, to me that means that he is either easily replaced or people who do what he does are rare.

From what I saw on the bachelorette, he likes to drink and isn't pleasant when he doesn't get his way. From what I saw on the bachelor is that he has a hard time making his mind up and relies heavily on his sisters to make decisions.

From AFTR and interviews, I saw a man who cared more for defending his feelings for F2 then lifting up his F1.

To go on DWTS is caring more for himself than Whitney. Nice of him to leave her to deal with uneven ground in heels so he can get more of that interview time he hates.

I spent the season listening how he and Whitney are perfect because they both want love and kids soon. So he continues on reality tv and they have no plans to settle in their permanent home or homes yet.

To me his actions don't match what he said he wanted on the bachelor. If that is what Whitney wants then she should find someone who wants what she wants and realizes he is lucky to have her. Instead she has a man who keeps shoving her into the background. This is all of course only my opinion.

Whitney is a great catch and Chris is very lucky but she is lucky too. I think he's a great guy and will make a wonderful husband. He will treat his wife well and if he doesn't he'll have to answer to Mama Soules. Think about it.....
