I would wager that Whitney knew a lot more about Chris than many will give her credit for. I have stated before that thru the bachelor nation and her friends in Chicago, she knew what he was like. I guess I would suggest he was just what she was looking for, and his family may have been a bonus. I don't think we have the right to decide what or who she should have.

As for Dwts, they conferred and made a joint decision to go on the show. I do not see any sign that he is being stingy toward Whitney.

I am confused though, half the time I read Whitney barely knows JS and then I read that it is how she knew so much and knew Chris so well. Does anyone know what the fact is, or is it like most other things pinion or assumption?

This way we delete one post, rather than deleting post after post. Every time a post is deleted it takes us back to the first page of the thread. We have to remember what page we are on, search the page, and start all over again. This is why sometimes the good posts get deleted as well, far to much work.

JMO. Whitney is very attractive, intelligent, has a good stable career, she is well off (that Chicago condo isn't cheap), she is warm, and she seems like she has lots of love to give. Chris is also attractive, but I am not sure how awesome the body is when he doesn't have full time trainers and is actually working his desk job. He has now taken close to a year off from his full time job, to me that means that he is either easily replaced or people who do what he does are rare.

From what I saw on the bachelorette, he likes to drink and isn't pleasant when he doesn't get his way. From what I saw on the bachelor is that he has a hard time making his mind up and relies heavily on his sisters to make decisions.

From AFTR and interviews, I saw a man who cared more for defending his feelings for F2 then lifting up his F1.

To go on DWTS is caring more for himself than Whitney. Nice of him to leave her to deal with uneven ground in heels so he can get more of that interview time he hates.

I spent the season listening how he and Whitney are perfect because they both want love and kids soon. So he continues on reality tv and they have no plans to settle in their permanent home or homes yet.

To me his actions don't match what he said he wanted on the bachelor. If that is what Whitney wants then she should find someone who wants what she wants and realizes he is lucky to have her. Instead she has a man who keeps shoving her into the background. This is all of course only my opinion.

from one of the interviews Chris said that he asked one of his cousins- who is in the farm field as well- to help his dad on the farm while he did the filming of the Bachelor. I guess the cousin continues to help them there while C doing the DWTS. JFYI.FWIW

According to lurker, his full time job is actually as a consultant with other people, his farm is not his full time job. So that job letting him take a year off from that is strange to me. JMO

Oh okay..i initially thought that the consultant work was his part time job. scratch

. I guess the whole 'stuck in the farm' and i got to run the dinasty' thing was more of his main storyline in his Bachelor role rather than the facts. or maybe i have no idea laugh out loud

Humm and I read somewhere that he worked in the office on the business end & has employees that work in the fields. Sounded like Chris makes his own hours. In one of his interviews I heard him say that he could live in multiple places and split his time between the farm and wherever his partner would want to be. And he recently mentioned that he wanted to bring awareness to Agriculture and was going to be a spokes person for that ., so who really knows how much time he really needs to be right there on the farm. Maybe they'll spend week days between Chicago & Des Moine and spend weekends at the farm. ( sounds good to me cantstopl

Once Chris is done with DWTS he will have an even larger platform that probably will lead into politics . I also read that he has future political aspirations . so I guess time will tell. He has a great partner in Whitney for whatever he decides to get involved in. She is such a lady and will do him well being by his side. jmo:Nod:

Here is the story about Chris' boss. He is a real estate contractor for Bruce Rastetter - his job is to buy up farms for Bruce's conglomorate. He also farms "full time" and owns a decent amount of land, nothing at "dynasty" levels. this is not uncommon. He has a farm manager that runs it day to day but he takes the 3-4 weeks off from his full time job during planting and harvesting to run his own land. I would consider his farming a real job as well, just as I do for my friends that just buy properties and sell them when they are more valuable with no real day to day work.

ALSO - Chris's boss is a real big name in Iowa politics, I wouldn't be surprised if he told Chris to poise himself for future political runs just in case that opportunity would come up. His boss, bruce, can make it happen for Chris.

I feel like I should add that I don't think him having another job makes him disingenuous, I think it makes him smart. It's another job in agriculture when crop prices can't always be relied on.

ETA: Stuck, in simple terms yes, I have super mixed feelings bout Bruce. But Chris is doing the same thing for himself when he's buying up land for his farms as well and i'd assume wants to have as much land as Bruce.
