Chris Soules - Whitney Bischoff - Bachelor 19 - Discussion

We can all agree on somethings but I love coming in this thread for discussion. So happy the mods left it open! Love hearing all the different opinions. Time will tell of course but it is fun to speculate on what happened on the show and now more fun to speculate what is happening right now by what we see and hear current time.

Or moving to LA could be seen as the actions of a woman who doesn't trust him so she needs to be there to keep him in line. After all at WTA he was quite in appropriate with the hands on Jade.

None of us know what is going on. I am taking my cues from the couple and the cues I get from them are reserved not happy. And yes, I can see a difference when he talks about DWTS he is happy.

Does it mean anything? Probably not. But it is weird and no it is not maturity. I have seen and experienced mature love, it didn't keep me or my friends from looking happy. What kept us from looking happy was when we had doubts.

JMO but Whit looked happier in her pic with strangers in the blank tank than with Chris. Look at Diana's avi, that is a strained smile not a happy smile to me.

I actually feel bad for Whitney. I think she is seeing that Chris isn't the guy she thought he was and in LA they don't have his parents to help her feel loved. I just want to hug her and tell her it is okay to admit that something you thought you wanted isn't right and doesn't make you happy. When part of what you want in your forever is the wonderful family you don't have it is hard to admit that while the family is perfect the man isn't. I had that with my first husband and sadly the perfect family couldn't make up for the man who didn't make me happy. And no matter how hard I tried to make it perfect I couldn't. I hate to see Whitney going through that.

I could be totally wrong but that happy sparkle is gone from her eyes.

Very good post.  We don't know what is going on in their minds and we all have different perceptions of what we see.  She is still employed and the fact that her employer has allowed her flexibility speaks volumes that they want to retain her as an employee.  Also, Chris could bomb out on DWTS and be home in two weeks and it could be a short lived stay in LA.

I am not saying they wont work out, just pointing out that Whitney spent the season with a winning the Bachelor playbook. I dont remember her having an objection to anything Chris brought in the season, she was all about "whatever you dish out is what i want". She said and did the right things and got the man in the end. i am unconvinced she is as in love as she purports, but good luck to them. only time will tell.

Thanks for your thoughts stuck.. I also don't think it will matter if he dances one week then gets sent home. I still think, imo, that their relationship is strained. Just what I am observing. I can only imagine LA is making it worse. Yes, time will tell and I am particularly interested in watching to see how they handle it. Love Whit. ;)

I'm confused. Did I miss a memo that we(mods) were thinking of closing this thread?

I am so happy that she still has her job, but she seemed so energized working with patients I wonder if she misses that. I miss the joy I get interacting with students when I teach. That joy is hard to replace.


I honestly just want to see Whitney with that happy joyfulness she had before.

Good post. i dont however believe that Whitney is really in love with Chris to be honest. She may have played the part and acted that way but it was all strategic planning and manipulations on her part.
I will keep saying I wish them well because I honestly do, but I didnot see a love story between Whitney and chris on my TV and i am yet to see it post show.

It's probably like any job any of us have enjoyed in the past, yet left to move on to other pastures. You get nostalgic. I know there have been jobs I have left and the job I moved on to I was not happy at. I went back to my old job.

Whitney still has her safety net if her relationship with Chris falls through. She has a job in Chicago and a very beautiful condo she owns herself. So I feel she is playing her cards wisely given the situation. She has plenty of time to move bag and baggage to the farm when/if they get married. I rather see them have time during their engagement to make sure they both know what they want and if that is life on the farm in Iowa, so be it. IMO.

That's what bothers me as well. He's way more relaxed and excited while talking about DWTS than he is talking about his engagement and future plans with Whitney. And when asked about their plans they always seem to repeat the same lines and Chris being the horrible actor that he is, fumbles. It's like they agreed in advance what to say exactly and that's a bit weird. Starting your life with the person you're in love with shouldn't be that sensitive a subject.

Obviously we don't really know what's going on, but I'm gonna speculate like I speculate about anything else that has to do with this show. They're still out there putting themselves on TV, so I'm not gonna suddenly lose interest when the real relationship starts.

I'm thinking DWTS is a great start to a new relationship coming off this crazy show. There will be challenges ahead of them, which already they have gotten through some of them. Settling in a new apartment, job changes for Whitney, dealing with the media and hours of practising per day. There will be dancing that requires a lot of emotion, sexiness and touching.

This will give them an opportunity to test the strength of their new relationship. Whitney appears to be extremely confident and IMO I don't think she's the type to give up easily. Your fiance is on DWTS, who would not be supportive of such an opportunity to live in L.A attend the shows and experience all that there is in meeting other stars.

I don't think this will create any problems for these two at all. I maybe wrong, but Whitney appears quite comfortable in the changes in their lives. I think we'll see a very happy couple each week.
